Brisineo and Vedrian
I was told that we would do good here, so we are going to have a crack at it. This is our bio, and I hope that you like it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name ~ Deviandar Chanlion But is known as Brisineo
Age ~ 67
Gender ~ Male
Skills ~ ELF: Brisineo is very proficient with the sword, even though it is a style that he invented himself, which is very different from the styles that many swordsmen teach. It both is an advantage and disadvantage because of both being able to confuse his opponents and also because he can trip up easily from the spinning, odd swings of his sword. He taught himself blacksmithing along with help by Vedrian. He also is a proficient spell caster, (especially at large fire spells, which he uses to ward off invaders and cause himself to look terrifying at those who would attack him) excellent at mimicking others, and learns quickly by studying and copying.
DRACONIAN: Once Brisineo changes he is able to fly and breathe fire. But the most terrifying quality of his transformation is his immense strength. Able to throw a full grown dragon some distance away, making him an equal match for Vedrian. It is unknown whether he can or cannot use magic while transformed.
Race ~ Mostly Elf, but with some other unknown blood within him. He blames his shapeshifting powers to be from this side.
Hair ~ Shaggy brown, thick hair.
Eyes ~ Changes on his mood, but most common is silver with a yellow ring around the pupil.
Home ~ Wanders through more secluded areas alone with his dragon.
Parents ~ His mother, Almyria, was a full elf. His father, whom he only knew as Grenalin, was half elf, and half of an unknown race.
Siblings ~ 3. Calem, Colinor, and Jadim. (All male and under his age) He left them behind with his mother.
Character Personality ~ Deviandar, but as he likes to be called, Brisineo, or Bris for short, is a secretive, introvertive, and lonely figure. He almost never speaks to anyone, in fact, he tries to avoid them. He envisions himself as a monster because of his ability to shapeshift, even when his own dragon tries to comfort him into seeing the positive side, and thus, seeks the seclusion from any other intelligent being except Vedrian. He finds peace in quiet, natural areas, but even more, he enjoys anywhere there is large amounts of heat and even fire. He absolutely despises the cold. He has a very powerful sense of curiosity, and taught himself nearly everything he knows with whatever material he acquired and learned through experimentation and a keen ability to study the world around him. He taught himself how to write, forge, and use medium level magic through this same means of studying and copying. And also because of this, he also has the talent to mimic other people with near perfect accuracy for his and Vedrian's own enjoyment, and even better, he sustains himself without worry. Even still, Bris does not normally react to emotion. Some would say he bottles it up, or, others would say he just doesn't care. He doesn't really know himself to be honest. He has the look of someone who would slit your throat at a moment's notice, but deep inside, he is passionate, holds a sense of humor, and has a high value for life, making his transformations even worse for him. His solemn, deep stare can drill right into your very soul, as he has the look of a man who has lost everything, desires it back, but knows that he can't. And now, because of his spontaneous changes that cause so much destruction and pain wherever he treads, he desperately searches for a cure or ability to control his powers. He takes life in a very high regard, and if he sees an innocent soul that can be saved, he will put his own life on the line to save it. And then, he is loyal to a fault to whomever dare call him a friend. He misses his family very much, despite the time away from his home. He vows only to return once he gains control of his powers.
Character History ~ Deviandar was born in the city of Ellesméra, under the deep love of Almyria and Grenalin, who hid his ancestry well. Though his father died of a deadly disease only a year after his birth, Almyria gained another mate, whose name was Verandor, and gave birth to three younger, full elven siblings. Like most elven children, he was blessed until he seemed to glow with power. However, his cherished life grew short on his 20th birthday, barely out of the earliest stages of childhood. The day that many of his blessings given in his infancy ceased to exist. His strange blood inherited by his father finally was aroused and caused an effect on him. He spontaneously changed into a powerful creature, the appearance of a Dragon, but humanoid. He reaped a powerful and fiery destruction wherever he went in that one horrible night, killing many of his friends, and injuring many more, including one of his own siblings. He woke the next day, in the middle of the wreckage, and to his horror, remembered everything that transpired. In his fright, he ran away without even saying goodbye to his family, since he thought that he was now a shame to his mother and even more ashamed for the injury of his brother, Calem. He ran through the forest and out of Ellesméra, wishing never to go back. He went to the only place that he knew that he would not be a danger to anyone. The Hadarac. For many days he wandered the desert, but he enjoyed the heat though, and he eventually found himself in the very sacred mountain of Du Fells Nangoroth. The location where the dragons laid their eggs. He knew the dangers that lurked there, but he heard a mourning keen coming from the jagged rocks. He instead decided to investigate, and found a severely injured yellow dragon, holding a bright green egg to it's side. When the dragon noticed Deviandar, it called to him with it's mind. It told him of a rampaging dragon that had recently passed through this area, killing many of the lone hatchlings left here because of his distrust of the Dragon Riders. And it had the last egg that it had kept secret and safe for the Riders. For it's own protection, it gave the enchanted egg to the young elf at the dying dragon's side, hoping to prolong it's heritage. Right there and then, the egg hatched for him, and he was bonded as the yellow dragon died of it's wounds. New companion in hand, Deviandar ran out of the area and into the Beor mountains to the south, hoping no one, or no thing would be following him. Over the next few years in hiding, the dragon grew up besides him, albeit when he transformed and left lines of terror that drove all animals, and even dwarves out of the location. He called the dragon Vedrian, and he taught it as much of his language as he knew. Though, soon, he found travelers passing by. He studied them carefully, and by watching the line of what he discovered to be human traders, he learned the common language, their writing, their culture, magic, and their stories. He even stole some of their supplies to take care of his own needs. He studied two humans sparring with their swords, and noticing the weapon's possible use, he experimented and failed with Vedrian multiple times until he forged two, incredibly powerful, colored swords, in an attempt to match the memories he had of the beautiful Rider's Swords that Rhünon had constructed with singing magic, and created a fighting style that suited him and him only. Soon, he was fully grown, experienced with the mountains, and gained a silent, and very solemn demeanor. Which just grew worse as time passed, and as he repeatedly changed into a draconian, which Vedrian would try to control with all his might but usually to no avail. Now, Brisineo, as he calls himself, walks in the now forestless area that is his home. Trying with his dragon, to find a way to either take control of his draconic form, or be rid of it, and return to his family, hoping to undo his wrongs.
Weapons ~ Two, nameless, identical handmade Rider's swords that he had constructed with the help of Vedrian. The blade is simple, sleek, and matches Vedrian's chartreuse scales. The cross guard is made of silver and iron he had mined from the side of the plentiful Beors, the hilt is of a hard maple that is strengthened with steel and wrapped with silver wire, and the hilt is of a bright green emerald. The closest he could find to Vedrian's color after scouring the mountains with magic for days on end, and shaped to the best possible shape he could get.
Likes ~ Mimicry, inventing and making things with his hands, quiet areas, to be alone, and fire and heat. Protecting the few innocent travelers who run into trouble near his home.
Hates ~ Cold areas, and to be around any population. Evil, and threats to innocent life.
Weaknesses/fears ~ He will not go anywhere near populated areas, in fear of changing. He also fears the well being of Vedrian while in draconic form, and pleads with him when he begins to change, to flee until he returns to normal. He also is weak in mind defense, since he never learned how to defend himself, or saw anyone attempt it.
Companions ~ None, except Vedrian, who wouldn't leave even if he wanted him to.
Physical Description ~ (Elf) When he is in his normal form, Brisineo wears dark green, concealing clothing, and traveling cloaks of his own design, covering the multiple scars that cover his body from his rampages. Without his forest green hood over his head, he has shaggy, thick, brown hair, which is not his original hair, but changed by magic to match the hairstyle of a traveler he liked. Under his bangs lies his piercing, silver and yellow eyes. Though, they tend to change color depending on his mood, such as blue when he is (rarely) happy, green when exited or alert, gold when frightened, and black when angry. His face is rougher, and tanner than a normal elf from his time outside, and his lack of care for his appearance. He bears two scars on his face, one goes straight across his right eyebrow, and the other parallel and under his left eye on his cheek. His physique is thin, but muscular, from his experience and practice, and he almost never smiles, except when Vedrian or a rare friend pulls off a particularly funny remark. He had recently made special slits and latches in his clothing so that they do not fall off or rip from his new appendages when he transforms, and luckily, he wakes without any damage done to his clothing, except dirt, abrasion tears, and the blood from those who were unfortunate enough to come too close. (Draconian) When Brisineo transforms, he loses himself as he turns into the monster that is a draconian. When fully transformed, he is covered in black scales, his eyes a glowing purple, his head in the shape of a dragon's, and his body still humanoid, but larger and muscular. He grows wings, a tail, claws, the ability to breathe fire, and his feet change to something more similar to the hind legs and claws of a dragon. All logical thought is instantly washed away by a burning rage and unstable desire to destroy everything he sees, and he fulfills that desire when everything around him is destroyed. If placed in a secluded area, devoid of life or destructible items, like the nearby Hadarac Desert, his rage is doubled, and he stays in his draconian form for far longer, roaming for anything to demolish. He has the ability to fly, but Vedrian usually stops him from venturing outside of the now deforested home that they live in by fighting with the Draconian side of his Rider, usually getting injured in some way. The transformation usually lasts for about 24 hours, before Brisineo wakes up, and unfortunately remembers everything that had happened while he was a draconian.
Dreams for Future ~ To take control of, or destroy his shapeshifting ability and reunite with his family. Possibly to become a future Rider of the Order, if it still exists, but that is merely optional to him.
Reasons for dreams ~ When Brisineo transforms, he kills every sign of life that he sees. He wishes that on no one, and is ashamed for the injury he gave to his brother while in that rage. He desires to finally gain some way to be rid of his curse so he can right that wrong.
Dragon ~ Vedrian
Age ~ 47
Gender ~ Male
Color ~ Neon Chartreuse Green
Parents ~ His dying mother who gave his egg to Deviandar before dying. Sire is not known.
Personality ~ Vedrian would be considered Brisineo's opposite, and complimentary personality. Vedrian enjoys life, and desires to be in the open. He wishes to meet others much more then his destructive Rider, and usually gets a bit over himself and does some crazy things. He likes jokes, and complex ariel maneuvers, usually passing his free time doing both. Though, he does tend to get cocky, and will eventually do something that will cause him harm. He is aware of Brisineo's other half though, and does whatever he can to help his Rider overcome it. He is always there for him, and although Brisineo pleads with him to flee when his transformation is imminent, Vedrian would stay, and fight the monster to keep him from spreading his destruction. Even if it means both sides get injuries from it. Though, Vedrian does have one fear. He dearly hopes that his Rider would eventually take control of or destroy his curse, or else, he might not last any longer against the draconian's constant, terrifying power.
History ~ Vedrian shared his entire life with his Rider, and has rarely left sight of him, and never lost mental contact with him. Both in great companionship and in fear of another transformation. Even from a hatchling, Vedrian understood what was to become of him. He was not only a companion, but his Rider's protector. He keeps close watch, and is a safeguard between the outside, and from his own Rider's self. He helped Brisineo forge his swords, and any other craft that concerns blacksmithing. Though, he does reflect back on his distant memories of his dying mother, who held onto him when a dragon rampaged through the breeding grounds and destroyed all the Rider's eggs but one. Counting himself both lucky, and unlucky at the same time for his position now.
Appearance ~ Vedrian stands tall and proud for a dragon, despite the multiple battle scars he had acquired all his years fighting his own Rider. The battles also strengthened him, in both flight and fighting abilities, and he only gets stronger every time. He is muscular, powerful, and ferocious at times, but on other days, he is giggly, cheery, and playful. Depending on the situation entirely. He usually has a smug dragon grin on his face, which reflects his cocky mood.
Dreams for the Future ~ Help Bris find a cure, and return to see his Rider's family and become a freer dragon.
Reasons for dreams ~ Vedrian is a terrific fighter, but the fact that he is fighting his own Rider multiple times a month is disheartening to him, and has been slowly wearing into his heart. He also wishes to go anywhere else than the tree-less hollow that is their home, maybe gain a mate.
~Fears/Weaknesses ~ Vedrian only fears one thing at this moment. He fears that he and his Rider's constant battling will eventually lead to the death of either him or Brisineo. And he will do anything to prevent that from happening.
Sorry if it's a bit long and descriptive. I hope I did okay. :)
