Sherlock
Alright, I searched it..... and do you know how shocked I was when there were exactly zero topics for the BBC television show, Sherlock? So... er.... I hope that doesn't mean that I'm the only one who watches it.

Re: Sherlock
I though they were great, but so far I've like the first season better. How weird is Moriarty?

Re: Sherlock
I found the very last episode so confusing! Sherlock was dead one moment - then he came back alive towards the end???

Re: Sherlock
I believe in Sherlock Holmes.
Now excuse me while I go cry my eyes out again.
Er... ending... not sure, but don't go with the popular opinion that he jumped into the back of the truck. It would have been physically impossible even if he had done more than just step off the roof. I'm going to guess.... that since it is possible to survive a fall from that height, he survived, Molly pronounced him dead, and he disappeared.

The Imposter wrote: I found the very last episode so confusing! Sherlock was dead one moment - then he came back alive towards the end??? :? If you've read the book or at least know the history of the books of Sherlock, it would make sense, its just the trying to figure out how he managed it that is driving everyone mad.
I am a huge fan of this show. I was able to watch all of this new season within 24 hours of it being aired thankfully! I've been blown away with how much this show has been affecting me emotionally. I frequently watch Supernatural, which I know lots of fangirls get emotional over and they're all like bawling over a character death/the boys have a pity party/being generally sad and crying and I'm like Whateves man! Slight sadness, but whatever, its just a TV show. Sherlock though. Oi. It makes me think. I get really drawn into it. The first time Sherlock is up on the ledge during that last bit with Moriarty, my heart was racing! I knew what was going to happen, and yet it just had me in a state of denial.
There have been so many theories popping up on my Tumblr, including the previously stated one about him landing in a lorrie, but I personally find that unlikely if you look at the width of the sidewalk he lands on. It is way to wide for a lorrie to have been right under him without actually being on the sidewalk.
However, one that I do find likely is this: Rhododendron ponticum I know that is is possible for someone to fall from a large height and survive, I know someone who has fallen off a 60 foot cliff and is alive and walking today, and I'm sure if you're really smart you could figure out how to make yourself land without causing major damage. We all know that Sherlock is in fact very clever, and probably could figure this out. Mixed with the drug that was possibly in his system, Johns disorientation after being hit by the biker and everyone trying to keep him away, this might be possible. With his quick about face with Molly shortly before this all went down and how quickly the medics trucked him off, I'm almost certain that Molly has something to do with it.
Also, I find parts of the show downright hilarious. "There's been a break in." "Not our division!"
And then there are the characters who might not have been completely honest, they might have been lying, but what happened in the last episode makes me absolutely hate them *coughMycroftcough*

Re: Sherlock
Keever? You're my new best friend right now. Finally someone else aside from myself realizes that it would have been impossible to jump into the truck and that it's actually more likely that he fell and survived!
I have read The Final Problem, so I knew how it was going to turn out, but that didn't stop me from screaming at the screen for him not to jump and half believing that he had actually died even though I knew that he didn't. I watch Supernatural too and certain parts have made me sad and occasionally actually made me cry, but.... nothing close to what The Reichenbach Fall did to me. I describe it as the episode in which Moffat and Gatiss ripped every Sherlockian's heart out and then shredded it. And they know that's what they did! *points to their Twitter*
I agree about the rhododendron ponticum having a play in it. It would have made John believe that he was dead, if nothing else.

Re: Sherlock
I've watched both the end to season 6 of Doctor Who and the end of season 2 of Sherlock and Moffat is both a genius and an evil, evil man, REALLY evil. I felt so bad for John to have to watch that and so far I've seen a few theories, some amazingly detailed, others highly improbable and one I did enjoy was Sherlock using his connections with the homeless to arrange them to spread out a fabric that would catch him as he fell, then roll him onto the ground, toss the blanket or such into the truck, a blood bag could have been supplied by molly and I too believe the cyclist purposely knocked into John to disorientate him.
Also Mycroft deserves a slap from Mrs.Hudson

Re: Sherlock
e+a? Of course we can be best friends :)
Though I want to point out something that I've seen a few other people rant about, but Moffat and Gatiss didn't write it, they merely sat there and went "Oh yes, you are a genius, this will destroy them emotionally forever!!" Steven Thompson is the guy we should all actually be cross with. He wrote the Blind Banker too.

Re: Sherlock
Mmm, there isn't a movie for this particular topic, this is a tv show, though I think you are thinking of Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, which is an excellent movie, but this is not to place to talk about it.
I'm sad it's taking so long to do the third series, but on the bright side we get to see them in other spectacular productions between now and then (i.e. The Hobbit, Star Trek)

Re: Sherlock
True, true... but I'm guessing that they did have a hand in deciding what would actually happen in the episode. Either way, they're evil and their entire team of writers are evil.
I know... apparently it's going to be longer than a year because of when they're shooting so we won't get the next season until about June of next.... year.... wow.... I just realized that I'll be nearly sixteen when the next season comes out...

@Vrail: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait! Are you saying that John Watson doesn't have a large role? He has a huge role!
