~The Scars of Sin~


Fear of falling,
Falling, falling,
Down into the pits of nothing,
Stretching out their hands and nearing.

Grasping hands,
Of morbid deceivers,
Suffocating breath,
That traps my lungs.

Shadows closing in,
Intoxicating me with sin,
With open mouths,
That bends and shrouds.

A hole in the heart of my enemy,
Instead a black soul of fire,
Melting me, I think my life is ending,
Can't see a light, just pray that I'll have sight.

Hollow robes of tattered remains,
Clothed around the diabolical fiend,
Who now possesses me and drains,
The life I once thought I claimed.

Something stirred,
A radiant joyful light,
Vaguely through shadows that hide,
Drifting away at the glorious sight.

The light remains,
Opposing darkness, but embracing sane,
Sin has left it's mark,
I think it's time for a new start.
