Classic Disney
Disney used to be great, with movies like Aladdin, Bambi, Hercules, Lion King, Peter Pan, Hunch Back of Notre Dame, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and many others. But instead of making more animating movie, like they should, they're making High School Musical, Camp Rock, Princess Protection Program, Wizards of Waverly Place, Meet the Robinson's, Bolt, Chicken Little and others. Now I'm not saying all those movies are bad, but they're not what Disney was known for! Disney got famous for making the first full length animated movie in color(and English), which was Snow White, and people thought it was crazy, they called it "Disney's Folly"!! But instead of destroying the studio people gave it a standing ovation! So I must ask, "Why did you stop!?!!?" The people at Disney said that Home on the Range was going to be their last 2D movie, good way to end it anyone even remember this movie? But some smart people at Pixar said they should make some more animated movies. So now we get Princess and the Frog, which I'm actually excited for. I'm a Disney buff, I love Disney, but I hate Disney channel. Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Zac Efron; I hate them all
anyway enough of my rant, this topic is about good old fashion, classic animated Disney movies. Which one is you favorite? Who do you think is the best villain? Which has the best music?

I dislike most of the Disney channel shows to, but I do try and catch 'Sonny With A Chance', 'Wizards Of Waverly Place', and 'Suite Life On Deck'
I liked Hercules the best, I don't know why, but it was pretty cool, but I haven't watched it in years.
The best villain is definitely Cruella de Vil.
And I like the Cruella de Vil song from 101 Dalmations, sometimes it'll just pop into my head and I'll start singing it

The only Disney channel show I actually liked was Thats So Raven, and Hanna Montana Now I know what your think, "Didn't you say you hate Miley Cyrus?" Well I do, she's annoying, but her show actually made me chuckle a few times. Like the show, hate the person. I'm weird like that
dude, thats my favorite movie too! Well one of them, I can never actually decide it changes so many times
Best villain is Frollo. He has the best villain song ever. Hellfire.

Yes it was,
Thats what upsets me about Frollo, no one remembers him! Judge Claude Frollo was the villain from Hunchback of Notre Dame

OH, I never watched that movie. It was sort of depressing to me.
You want to know something else I dislike? When they try and make a second movie or a TV show from a movie or something like that. They usually never get the same actors voices, and it changes the plot line of original usually. Either that or duplicates it in a different setting, as with The Little Mermaid 1 & 2.

Re: Classic Disney
Watch it! It's one of the best! Mostly cause of Frollo >:3
I agree. The sequels shame the original, and they only do it for money. The ones I'm thinking of in particular are Cinderella 2&3, Pocahontas 2, Mulan 2, Peter Pan 2, and Fox and the Hound 2. The only sequels I enjoyed watching were the Lion King ones, and Bambi. Simba's Pride is one of my favorite movies, it's not in the top ten though. I always associate this movie with England cause thats where I first saw it. I loved the new characters, the songs were great, and an interesting plot. But I still wonder why Simba banished the outsiders out of the Pride Lands. Hmm ...
And the Bambi one just filled in a gap in the timeline. It was nice to know what Bambi did with his "dad" ^.^

My signiture Disney movie is either The Lion King or The Little Mermaid.
The Little Mermaid is just so beautiful and simple, and scary. I always thought Ariel was so awesome.
Treasure Planet is awesome. Also who can forget Brother Bear?

Toy Story was Pixar, you dweeb. xD How could you forget the lamp?? =P I'm not too old for this, so you're good. I really liked both of them.
Haha, the treasure planet blob! =D
Balto and the Dalmatians ones would probably be my favorites that I can remember right now. =)

D:< Balto. Isn't. Disney. It was Universal. I don't know how many times I've said this, but still people make this mistake. I guess because it's a classic and animated people automatically assume it's Disney? Oh well. Fun Fact: Did you know the real Balto wasn't half wolf? He was a purebred Siberian Husky.

Who cares we're mostly just discussing classic animated films
My favorite.... Beauty and the Beast, Pocahantas, The Little Mermaid, The Fox And The Hound (Tho it makes me cry), Aladdin.... typical kid stuff.
Other classics I loved as a kid were The Swan Princess & Thumbalina

I liked a lot of the others too, but those just stuck out to me. And of course Flubber was awesome. The best Disney animated movie that came out recently was Wall*E. It actually had a pretty interesting plot, and it was really cute

lol, at my old school we never played any of the disney characters. We played out spice girls and the mean girls in my grade forced me to be the taxi driver until I gave up and I went and played my own adventures with my best buddies.
I really really REALLY loved Aristocats, my most fav. movie. Oh, my brother and I when we were little, we played Land Before Time (not disney, but still a good movie)

Not all Disney is about singing. Just the old 2D hand-drawn ones (and some new ones of that nature).
This isn't classic Disney, but for some reason I love the recent Disney action/adventure movies. (Pirates and National Treasure). Those movies are awesome!
And that's too bad, Astral. Imagination is important, which some people seem to forget. lol

No, it's not, though I like some of their singing because it expresses their true emotion, though I also agree that some parts shouldn't really sing...just the emotional bits.
Yeah, well, you live and learn I suppose. I never heard from them again, so it doesn't matter. Besides, my friend and I would pretend we were running from the police because we had an alien friend or something like that...we took turns being the alien and I think eventually the three of us were aliens and we went and attacked the boys. It was hilarious. lol.
Oh, but those are EXCELLENT movies! They were fun to watch.

Re: Classic Disney
I love Classic Disney, about the only disney movies of the newer genre that I like are the Pirates of the Carribean (non animated) series movies (which is schedualed to get another, though Depp is worried as am I that they won't let him act out the character how he wants/has been now that his support for that acting style is gone.)
My personal favorites (since I can't choose just one) are The Lion King Aladdin The Hunchback of Notre Dame Mulan (though I dunno if that counts) Beauty and the Beast (obviously) and Pocahontas (..need to remember the dates on these movies)
Scar was wonderfully sadistic Jafar was utterly insane Gaston is someone I've always wanted to damage Shan Yu... eesh o.O Ratcliffe argh.. fat greedy fool.. Frollo was lustful, and currupt, self rightious, and so on.. and so on..
hmm... best villian... from the standpoint of being realisticly human I have to say Frollo, because he undergoes something that could technically happen to someone mentally over the course of the story, he was wretched and loatheable, yet also fearful and somewhat pitiful (pity faded quickly) his internal strife is played out well in the song Hellfire, which if you have the latin translation of the lyrics the hooded figures chant its along the lines of "my most grievous fault" while he claims it isn't
I will go with Frollo for that but Scar for pure awesomeness XD

Oh my goodness. Disney. I love seeing all the hidden 'naughty' things in the classic ones. It rocks my world and makes me love them even more! My favorite movie since forever is the Lion King and I doubt that will ever change. If ever I have children they are going to grow up on those movies. Three cheers for the man that made my childhood slightly more entertaining! Huzzah!
