Elfenla looked upon the city with surprise ind her eyes. It was gone. The city was gone! It was all burned down. Everything was destroyed.
"There are some foot steps in the sand" Zar said to her.
"You're right. It looks like.... Ra'zac..." Elfenla said with hidden fear in her voice.
"Hmm. Maybe we should leave? What if they will come back?"
"Then I will rip them into pieces and let the birds eat their flesh" said Elfenla brutal.
Zar laughed his special laugh. They looked at the place, wich had been a city maybe few hours ago.
"Well, there's no reason to stay here. Look at this mess. I'm sure Galbatorix had his part in it." Zar sounded very mad, as he always did when they talked about Galbatorix.
"Maybe there are survivors?" Said Elfenla, but they both knew it would be almost impossible.
Zar shaked his head, but followed Elfenla into the rest of the city.

Ioksok heard a sound and hid behind a burnd out shell of a house. He unshethed his sword and waited.

Zar stopped suddenly.
"What is it?"
"I heard something! I think there are somebody here!"
Elfenla took her sword in her hand and walked carefully around. She could hear somebody, but were was he or she?

Erias was stumbling around the rubble. 'No, no, It can't be, no.' She thought to herself then fell to the ground exuasted.

Ioksok saw a dragon he looked around for it's rider but could not find no trace. so he waited.

Elfenla twisted around and saw a girl on the ground. She was fainted or something. Elfenla looked carefully at her. No she was not pretending.
"What's the matter with her?"
"I think she lives here, Elfenla. I think she's sad!"
Elfenla used her magic skills to get some water. The water was cold and fresh. And the fainted girl got it into her face!

But Elfenla still looked around. She was sure. Somebody was here!

Erais jolted up. She was frightened. THen she started to yell, not noticing her revivers. "You'll pay for this Galbatorix. You may try to keep me but you'll fail." Then she jumped up, she drew her sword and asked. "Who are you?".

"Thats not the question. Who are you? I don't give my name to everybody who asks!" Elfenla had still her green sword in her hand. Zar groared and showed his big teeth!

Elfenla felt cold metal on here neck, "what are you doing to her" Ioksok asked Elfenla with out lifting his sword.

Zar groared very high and opened his mouth so all his teeth were shown.
Elfenla used her magic to take the sword away with.
"I'm not doing enything, but can you see my dragon? I don't think he likes you are holding your sword on my neck!"
Elfenla looked at the boy and the girl.
"It was you I could hear, wasn't it? If you wanna fight, lets fight. But do you see my ears? I'm an elf, so I'm strong!"

Erais let out a scream. "No. Not now. I refuse." She then started to scream the pain in her wrist grew intense. The pain started to spread through her body. "I will never join you. You know that." She screamed more. She then passed out. She hit her head on a rock.

"****!" Elfenla said when she saw the blood from Erais's head.
"Help her! Or she will die!"
Elfenla closed her eyes, hold her hands over Erais's head and used healing magic.
Erais opened her eyes. Elfenla shaked her head.
"What's the matter with you? You are a bit... Strange?"

"I hope this can explain everything." Erais said as she uncovered the scar. "I am known every were for it. I tried to escape him. I was almost dead." She then fell silent.

"Do you mean Galbatorix? Tell me about it. Maybe it can help me and Zar to... Nothing.. Tell us"

"I was taken away as a baby. I was told I was his daughter, I learned the truth. I was given an egg. Theres a spell on it so it won't hatch. My scar is a curse from his dragon. It will bleed on and on." Erias then fell quiet. She got up and started away.

"Do tell",Replied grimly, as he approched. "All who are agenced the empire are welcome"

Erais continued to walk. "Not again." She said loudley. Her wrist began to bleed again.

Ioksok lowerd his sword and looked around come over here u giant lizard in a few minutes there was a great gust of wind dirt was flying all around and there in the middle of the dust storm was a great brown dragon.

Elfenla looked at Grimly.
"Hello there. Who are you?"
"What a story! I would feel sorry, too, if I were her!"
Elfenla listened to her dragon and stared at everyboy else at the same time!
A brown dragon landed nearly.
Zar groared as a warning!

Erias took a knife and cut a deep cut in her other wrist. The bleeding stopped. She turned around and saw Ioksok and his dragon. "No you two again."

"That is Agothor my dragon" said Ioksok "is Erias ok"

"I am more than okay." Erais said coldley. She then started to run away. After she was far away, someone blindfolded her.

"I am who I am. I am not human, nor elf nor dragon rider, I am a hooded figure to this world.
I have scales*removes sleave and shows arm breafely* yet I am no dragon. I am hated by the empire. my mind has once been atemped to be twised into serving Galbatorix. Tho the wizard who did found himself twisting his oun into madness as I escaped the empire. I have been roaming the land ever since aiding people who cannot stand to Galbatorix's strength.

"I won't Hurt you erias, I cam here to help" said Ioksok "stop runing "

"I don't want to hurt you, Erais, if you behave well to us!."
Zar stared brutally at Ioksok's dragon and showed his lang, white teeth.
Elfenla tryed to hide her smile, but she couldn't! Zar was always protecting her!

"HELP!" She screamed. She was nocked out.

Elfenla ran as fast as she could, and that was really fast, because she was an elf. She shaked her head when she reached Erais.
"I don't know enebody who finds trouble so fast as you do. You are a new record I think!"
Elfenla used water and healing magic.

"Well. I'm not sure were I'm from, but since I don't know you very well yet, I'm not sure I will tell you. I got Zar from a wild dragon!"

Ioksok wated i what ws left of the town when to to girls came back, he went to talk to them.

Erais was using Zar for support as she walked. She looked up. "Stay away from me." She said to Ioksok. Then she stumbled. "I always get into trouble at least 10 times a day." She said.

"im not going to hurt you Erias" Ioksok said "where is your dragon and y are you here"

"No I won't believe you." She said. Then there was a flap of wings and Erador appeared. She carefully picked up Erais. Then started to fly away.

"Shall I catch her with magic?" Elfenla asked Zar
"No, cilly. If she doesn't want to talk it's fine!"
Zar touched Elfenla's head with his mouth. Elfenla smiled happy.
"But she was a kind of weird, you know. Underlig person!" Elfenla said.
"Yeah, you are truly right, sweetie!"

Erador kept flying. Erias thought. 'If they think I am weird its not my fault.' 'I know, and you know.' Erador said kindly.

Iokosk handed Elfenla a pice of bread and said "so whats your story," he asked siting down by a fire.

Erais turned Erador around. They flew back fast. She jumped off of Erador. "Kull, SHades, Urgals." She yelled as she saw the two eating. "Hurry there not far behind." Erias yelled as she came to a stop in front of them.

Ioksok swore "how many" he said to Erias "and how far away" they started looking for a defencible position. they came upon a wide field and got ready for the attack.

"A lot." Erias said. "And there coming fast." She said as she mounted Erador.

there were many urgals but luckly not kull, the three companions were all on there dragons and ready for a fight befor the urgals got there. Ioksok saw a shade, he remebered him from his early years in the enpire it was Azules.

"Ioksok, what is it?" Erias asked.

"The shade we haveto kill him or we will be in truble, hes vary powerful." Ioksok said.

"Why?" Erais asked. "Why do you think there all the way out here."

Ioksok sighed and said "to kill who ever was in this town before it was burnd to the ground." Ioksok looked at Agothor and the other two dragons. now were ready for a fight he thought to him self.

As they approached they went into battle. Erias lept at the shade. They started to fight. They were both bloodied.

while Erias was fighting the shade and the dragon were killing urgals Ioksok snuk up behind azules and thrust his sword through the shades back. the shade was disipering and Erias thrust her sword through his heart. Then turned and decapitated a urgal, he guted another and in one hour the urgals were dead.

But before the Shade died he grabbed her amulet then stabbed her through the chest, barely missing her heart. She fell down.

Ioksok healed her but it was a deep wound he passed out after he was done. leaving Elfenla to keep watch for the remander of the night.

Erais woke up. "Now what. I hate this," She said. "We should go."

"And where should we go?" asked Ioksok watching the sun rise.

"Well" Elfenla said "I know were I'm going, but were will you 2 go?"
Elfenla looked at them. Zar's teeth was red of blood from the attackers. Elfenla had killed urgals and kull with magic and her sword.
"That was refreshing. It's a long time ago since I killed urgals!"
Elfenla smiled. She thought the same way!
"Are you sure you are allright, Erais? You look a bit... white?"

"Yes I am fine." Erais said. "That keeps happening alot lately. Well I need to go through the spine. You can travel with me if you guys want. We don't care." Erais gathered her stuff.

Erais got up. She covered her head. They started towards the spine.

Ryu thumped the ground with his tail, he was soooo bored, Bridie was down below, walking up to him at the slowest pace possible... he sniffed up into the air, people... but most people didnt come up these parts, he needed to hide. Swiftly Ryu ducked behing a heath, if they decided to walk over the heath, Ryu would be spotted!

Erador said metaly to the other dragon in the ancient language. "I am a friend I won't hurt you. And niether will my rider. Unless you are with Galbatorix."

Ryu jumped and bashed his head! 'friends of the empire! you have to be kidding, I will soon be his worst enemy!' said Ryu, 'and stop speaking in acient language, its hard to understand...'

'Oh sorry.' Erador said. Erais appeared. She slipped on a rock. Erador caught her.

Ryu showed himself, 'how did you get up here without being spotted?' asked Ryu, he thought of Bridie and wondered if she was OK...

'We have our ways.' Erador said. 'Are you okay.'

'yes...just slightly worried about my rider... she is coming here soon...' sighed Ryu, he yawed and lay down...

'So umm. I guess we should go.' Erador said as Erais climbed on.

Ioksok grabed Erias's ankel and said "You think you can get rid of me that easly" and mounted Agothor. "Lead on of fearls leader" he said sarcasticly.

Erador took off. "Fast Erador, fast." Erais said franticly.

"Well, Zar, lets get out of here, and kill some Urgals and maybe a Shade" Elfenla said brutal.
Zar agreed, and Elfenla jumped up on his back.
"See you later guys"
Zar jumped up in the air and then they were flying away from Carvahall!

"I won't let him catch me again." Erais said out loud.

Don't worry I won't let him. Erador said,

Well then lets hurry. Erais replied.

Fanil and Eridor were flying towards carvahall when they saw dragons leaving it and at that sight rode even faster. He wanted to see who it was. Or if it was possibly one of the dragon riders he thought
