Ryuu, Luca, and Altair
Name: - Ryuu Brightstar (he hates the "Brightstar" part)
Age:- 25
Gender: - Male
Skills:
Ryuu is able to use a good bit of magic, due to having two dragons. From Luca, Ryuu gains the strength to be a good healer, while from Altair he gains the strength to be good at attacking with magic. Ryuu prefers healing to attacking by far, and is much better at it. Though Ryuu prefers healing, it takes more energy from him than attacking does. Ryuu can use both at one time, but doing so takes a good bit out of him.
Ryuu trained hard with the sword from a young age, and was quite good with a single blade by the time he turned ten, and the twin dragons hatched for him. After getting the double bladed weapon, he practiced hard until he could use it as well as he had a single blade. He can separate the blades when need be, and use them both as two different swords, or use only one at a time. Magic was used to make it possible for him to store the blades in Luca, and Altair - the silver blade inside of Luca, and the gold blade inside of Altair. They come out when he "calls" them.
Race: - Human
Hair: - Silver, with a black streak above the left ear.
Eyes: - Molten Gold
Home Village: - A tiny village by the sea where no one has ever heard of the empire before.
Parents: - Maria, and Thom
Siblings: - 5 brothers, 7 sisters
Character Personality:
Ryuu is a very caring person, and he is protective of others. He doesn't get annoyed easily by others' petty arguments - after all he's lived with two arguing dragons for 15 years. He is a peace-maker, and when he senses a discussion, or argument is going in a bad direction, then he'll step in, and change the subject. When Ryuu meets a sarcastic, or critical person, he doesn't let their words offend him, but goes along with whatever they say. If someone is criticizing him, then he finds out why, and if possible changes himself so they can no longer criticize him. Ryuu sees criticism as a way to find his hidden faults that annoy others.
Ryuu generally looks on the bright side of life, except when he is under an attack from his incurable disease. To the people of his village he seems like the perfect hero, as he is always helping out, never getting angry, and knows how to calm others down. Ryuu hates being compared to the legendary hero though, and secretly despises the thought of others thinking of him as a hero. Many of those in Ryuu's age group in his village are jealous of him, because he is not only thought of the reincarnation of the village hero, but he also has two dragons. This annoys him, but he doesn't let their coldness towards him anger him.
When angry, Ryuu becomes very cold. He is not a very open person, never sharing his true feelings with others. When Ryuu is angry his face becomes emotionless, and he often says nothing until his anger has completely passed, not wanting to take it out on someone else. Even when he is angry, Ryuu is always able to keep his composure - he even refrains from glaring. He learned at a very young age to keep his emotions in check from his older siblings.
Ryuu is very trustworthy, never sharing secrets of others without their permission when they have confided in him. When fighting, Ryuu never loses his calm. He fights completely 'fairly', never resorting to magic unless the other opponent does so first. He enjoys fighting evenly with others.
Character History:
In a cove by the northwestern sea there is a tiny, hidden village. This village is so well hidden that the last outsider to go there was 100 years before. Many dragon riders came from this village in the past, but no more. The legend the village has passed down since the last visitor is as follows. A dragoness escaped a great war, brought a sword, a half gold, half silver egg, and the wisdom of another dragon. This dragon's name was Atria, and the one who's wisdom she brought with her was called Kiele.
When the silver dragoness reached the village she was close to death. The villagers cared for her until she was completely healed, at which time she left her "wisdom" with the village, and flew off back to the great war. The dragoness never returned in body, but her "wisdom" still dwelt in the village, waiting for the child who would become the rider of her child.

Maria smiled, and bounced her newborn son in her arms. He was her sixth born child, and the youngest son. According to the village legends it was always the sixth born son with five older brothers, and only younger sisters who went off to war in the skies. Maria and Thom had been proud when their son was born, and named him after the famous hero of the village who had founded it. Ryuu was his name. Ryuu Brightstar. Many in the village thought he was a reincarnation of the legendary village hero from so long ago. His hair was silver, with a black streak over the left ear just as the legendary hero, and his eyes were molten gold. The sun set over the sea, and the "Brightstar" shone above the village. It was the first, and the last star always seen in the village, and it was said that it was that star which led the legendary hero to this spot. "You will be the new hero, my dear little Ryuu. Just you wait and see." Maria told her child, hugging him close.

Ryuu ducked as a wooden sword aimed for his head. Whenever the village boys had play fights everyone always joined with each other to fight Ryuu. They were all jealous of his title as "Reincarnation of the Legendary Hero." Ryuu hated it, and hated being treated differently than everyone else. Still, even when all the others ganged up on him, they were no match for him barehanded. He had already gone deep into the forest, and killed a bear with no weapon, proving he was a man. That only made the other boys hate him more - especially since Ryuu was only nine years old. The village girls stood to the side sighing - even some older ones - causing Ryuu to growl under his breath. He hated being this popular. Ryuu easily dodged another blow, and took down the strongest fourteen year old. This disheartened the others a little, but soon they regrouped, and attacked all together. Ryuu jumped away so the couldn't surround them, and then immediately attacked them. Boys fell down everywhere. They were no match for Ryuu. Suddenly clapping came from the side of the green where the boys had been fighting. Ryuu grimaced. It was all five of his brothers. They were just as popular as Ryuu - if not more so. The oldest was already married, and seemed like the perfect husband, causing both married, and unmarried women alike to sigh after him. The other four had the eyes of almost all the village girls on them. Not only did they have looks, but they were the best hunters, and fighters in the village.
"Shall we have a fight, Ryuu?" His next to oldest brother asked. Ryuu smirked. "Come, and get me!" he answered his brother, grabbing a nearby walking staff. His brother calmly ran forward, his own weapon out. He had been gone hunting with the other three unmarried brothers for the past month, and had only just now returned. "Let's see how much you have improved, little hero." he said to Ryuu. The latter narrowed his eyes at his brother, but showed no other reaction, knowing his brother wanted him to get angry. A small smile of satisfaction crossed his brother's face at Ryuu's reaction. A month before Ryuu would have flown at him in rage. It seemed Ryuu had finally grown up - and just in time.

Two days later, both Ryuu, and his brother were both still very sore. After an hours fight, they had finally gotten their first blows in, and after three they finally agreed on a tie. Ryuu got out of bed - or rather off of the pile of straw he used for a bed - with a start. He had slept late! The sun would be beginning to rise in ten minutes. Ryuu quickly jumped out of the loft in the top of the barn, and fed the horses, moving quickly to the chickens, then the sheep, pigs, meat cows, and finally the goats. Ryuu milked the goats, and collected the many eggs, and began his rounds around the village, delivering milk, and eggs to the elderly who could no longer keep their own animals. When he finished, Ryuu returned home, and let the animals out to pasture. Ryuu went inside, and sat down at the table with a minute to spare before his mother, and the seven year old twin girls, placed the food on the table. When the meal was over, Ryuu was about to get up to work in the fields, when his father stopped him. "Ryuu, today is your tenth birthday." Thom said. Ryuu blinked - he had forgotten completely about it. "It is time for you to be presented to the "wisdoms", and the egg." Ryuu sank back on the bench. There was no guarantee that the dragon would choose him after rejecting so many for 100 years, but Ryuu felt as if it would - and he was afraid that if it did, he would never get to be the 'normal' person he longed to be.
Ryuu stood between the two pedestals on which the "Wisdoms" were placed. The egg was set on a pedestal directly in front of him, and on the wall behind them hung the double bladed sword. Ryuu closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and reached out to touch the egg with both hands. The egg started to tremble in his grasp, but nothing else appeared to be happening. For five minutes Ryuu stood with his hand on the egg. He nearly sighed in relief as he was about to remove his hands. Suddenly the egg burst open, and two little dragons rushed out, the silver one touching his left palm, and the gold one touching his right. The shock waves that went through Ryuu's body knocked him back a few steps. He had heard the legends of the dragon riders many times, but never once had any of the tales mentioned a rider having two dragons... Ryuu did not know what to do.

15 years later
~~~
The rain was coming down hard, and fast. The man stepped out from between two small dragons - one silver, the other gold. In his hand he held a double-bladed sword, with one silver blade, and one gold blade. This man had heard of the maroon eyed, and haired people like the man standing before him. He had heard they were completely evil. This man had already wounded several in the village, and was about to kill them when the dragon rider returned with his two dragons. "Your life ends here." Ryuu Brightstar said, not giving the maroon eyed man time to react. Ryuu stabbed him in the heart. "Altair." he said to the gold dragon on his right, "Luca." he said to the silver dragoness on his left. "It is time for us to leave."
Weapons: Double bladed sword. One blade is silver, the other is gold. The hilt in the middle is black with etchings of gold and silver in it. Both blades are slightly curved, and can come apart to form two whole swords when a double bladed one won't work as well.
Ryuu's eyes are almond shaped, and are often filled with whatever emotion he feels - whether it is joy, or sorrow, love, or hate... Dreams for the Future: - To reunite his village with the outside world
Reason for Dreams: - Because the villagers see their life as almost monotonous.
Alignment/side: - Undecided
Dragon Name: - Altair
Age: - 15
Gender:- Male
Parents:- Kiele and Atria
History: Atria flew fast over the sea, trying to escape the war-torn land of Alagaesia. She carried the gold Eldunari of her mate – Kiele, and their gold, and silver egg. There egg had been a strange sight on Vroengard. Half was black, and the other half was silver. Black veins ran along the outside. Kiele and Atria had decided to give their first egg to the riders, though they were both riderless. A few years later war broke out, and the fall of the riders came. Kiele’s body was killed in battle, but Atria was able to save his Eldunari, and flee Vroengard.
Two days later, Atria dropped from exhaustion near a tiny hidden village near the sea. The people came, and took care of her until she could leave again. When her body was healed, Atria left her silver Eldunari, her mate’s Eldunari, and their egg in the care of the villagers. Atria had also asked Rhunon to forge a double bladed riders’ sword with a gold, and a silver blade, not knowing which color the hatchling would be. Atria left, and went to fight Galbatorix. She fought for a year before her body was finally killed and she receded into her Eldunari.
75 years after the fall of the rider, a boy named Ryuu was born. The dragons inside of the egg felt his birth, and knew they wanted him to be their rider. When the boy was ten, and presented to the egg, they were quick to break from their egg.
Everyone was surprised to see two hatchlings instead of one. There was a molten gold one, who touched Ryuu on the right hand, and a silver one who touched Ryuu on the left.
Altair grew slower than his twin, but finally at a year of age when he stopped growing, he had gotten two inches bigger than her. Altair learned how to fight much quicker than his sister although he learned everything else slower. By the time they reached ten years of age they were equal in what they knew, and could do.
Personality:
Altair has a bright, cheerful personality, and he loves being around others. He talks very little of himself though, closing up like his rider, and sister. He loves it when Ryuu pays attention to him, and dislikes it when Luca appears to be getting more attention than him. He likes riddles, though Luca is far better at them than he is. He is just satisfied that he is much better at making sarcastic remarks than she is. He can be in an argument with his sister for hour after hour over the pettiest things, but often loses the argument - unless Ryuu stops it for the twins first. Altair likes combining power with Luca, because she hates admitting she's weak without their shared power, and he loves it when she has to humble herself. Another reason he enjoys combining their power is because he loves fighting. Altair hates to lose to anyone - especially to Luca. He always tries his hardest to do better than others no matter what he's doing. He is a realist rather than an optimist, but often looks on the good side of things before the bad. He, like his sister, looks down on others, and despite how he acts, he is proud of the fact that he, and his sister share a bond with their rider.
Colour: - Molten Gold
Appearance: Altair is molten gold with silver eyes, teeth, and claws. The spines on his back are black, as well as the end of his tail, which is like a barb. Altair is five foot, two inches at the base of his neck, and stopped growing at the age of one. Altair’s wings, and tail are perfectly proportioned with his body size. Magic was used to put Kiele's Eldunari inside of Altair's body to protect it. Kiele has no control whatsoever, but can still talk to Rigel, and others from his position.
Armour: (if any) - None Yet
Dreams for future: - Same as Ryuu's. To become Ryuu's favorite dragon.
Reasons for dreams: - Same as Ryuu's. He doesn't like being equal with Luca.
Weakness / Fear: - Weakness: When Ryuu is attacked by his disease, Altaur becomes weak in his attempt to protect his rider. Even defending becomes hard when this happens. Fear: Spiders
Dragon Name: - Luca
Luca grew much quicker than her twin reaching her full size in only six months. She wasn’t happy when Altair passed her in size, but she eventually got over it. Luca learned everything, but fighting much quicker than Altair, which made up for the fighting part. By the time they reached ten years of age they were equal in what they knew, and could do.
Personality:
Luca has a bright, cheerful personality. She loves being around others. Despite this, she has a closed up personality where she won't tell much about herself. She loves getting attention from Ryuu, and hates it when it looks like Altair is getting more than her. She loves riddles, and is better with them than her twin by far, though he has her beat on sarcastic remarks. She can argue with her brother for hours over who gets to carry Rigel for even ten minutes, and she never loses - though she often doesn't win either. Even though she knows she is much stronger when combining her power with her twin's, she hates doing so, because that means she has to admit that she is weak alone. Luca hates losing, and always does her best with whatever she's doing. She is very optimistic, and never looks at the bad side of things. She often jumps into things without thinking about it first. Because she can do things well, she sometimes looks down on others, though she generally tries to help them do better - as long as it's not Altair that is.
Colour: - Silver
Dreams for future: - Same as Ryuu's. To become Ryuu's favorite dragon.
Reasons for dreams: - Same as Ryuu's. She doesn't like being equal with Altair.
Weakness / Fear: - Weakness: Same as Altair's. Fear: Heights... She loves flying, just not very high.
Side note: Luca, and Altair are about half as strong as normal dragons, though on the rare occasion when they unite their power they are more than twice as strong (like putting two horses in one harness rather than one) Want to know about the missing 15 years, and why Ryuu chose to leave? =) You'll have to wait until I RP with him to find out.
Last one... For now =) I have five other incomplete drafts to work on when I have time =)
