Post Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent
Name: - Quetzalcoatl (pronounced like the Toltec god: KEHT-zal-coh-AHT-ul)

Age:- well, pretty much 0. His story starts from his birth.

Gender: - male

Skills: Like all opal dragons, he is able to turn into a young, pale-skinned, white haired human to hide himself. Though he keeps his ability to breathe fire (though not as powerful), and still has feathered wings, Quetzalcoatl loses all magical ability and healing power (though his hair has slight healing properties.) He still has an amazing sense of smell.

In his dragon form, Quetzalcoatl can breathe fire. But this is not just normal fire. It's opal fire, a gift only unique to opal dragons. It's a white flame, laced with color-like an opal stone-and can do three special things: negate magic, completely destroy evil things, and only harm what the dragon wants it to.

Quetzalcoatl's magic, however, is very strange, and he is still figuring it out for himself. Because he is born from the Feathered Serpent (see history) he has inherited a strange power, but has no idea what it is or how to use it. It is said that the Feathered Serpent had powers of life and of water and ice. But he still is discovering what that meant.

Like Ohnyaeli, he has an excellent sense of smell and can swim and breathe underwater.

Race: - Opal dragon

Hair: -Quetzalcoatl has white colored fur all over him that shimmers like an opal stone in the sunlight

Eyes: - jade green w/ slitted pupils (duh! :P)

Home Village: - The great city of Atlantis

Parents: -Mother: unknown but might be still alive. Father: the Feathered Serpent.

Siblings: - none

Character Personality: Quetzalcoatl is much more quiet than the Ohnyaeli his race lived with. He likes making new friends but is usually to shy to make the first approach. He normally won’t talk to anyone about what he thinks unless he has good reason to or is good friends with the person. He, like all other dragons, is very curious, and loves to learn about new things, but has much more common sense than Dragon or Chris. Quetzalcoatl knows when it is not reasonable to pursue something interesting. He also has an extremely good memory, and can remember things from many years ago. When Quetzalcoatl is chasing after an enemy, though, that is very different. Sometimes, he’ll get carried away when fighting and kill his enemy even if he wanted them alive. He also can be a bit paranoid a certain times, wondering if even his friends will become his enemy. But most of the time, he is compassionate, and when he can control his battle rage, incapacitate the person rather than kill them. (Unless they need to be killed) However, the one thing Quetzalcoatl longs for the most is companionship. He is always reaching out, trying to make friends, but, like before, too shy to make the first move. He often travels around in his human form, finding that people are more trusting when he’s like that, but he can never reveal who he truly is.

Character History: Long ago, among the Archipelago of the Ohnyaeli and the opal dragons, a prophecy was made about the world:
When dragons, elves, and men rule all,
The isles of Tempor Dracona will fall. (another name for the Ohnyaeli.)
But a thousand years pass, cities sleep.
A long forgotten world will keep.

As the evil horn calls high,
A dragons’ wing will dark the sky.
An evil king makes legend myth-
The City! and the dragons with.

But after chaos battles him-
He defeats! by a whim.
The myth he created will make him fall,
When Feather Serpent comes to all.

The Ohnyaeli did not know what to make of this when, sure enough, humans, elves and dragons came to power on the land. They were fearful, and did not know will pass. So, the Ohnyaeli and the opal dragons abandoned their great city-Atlantis- and returned only to the Archipelago. However, what they didn’t know, was while the Lost City was laid to rest, so was something else. A god of the dragons, the Feathered Serpent, was among the opal dragons, knowing about the prophecy and knowing that somehow, they opal dragons and the Ohnyaeli had to survive. Only his mate, Quetzalcoatl’s mother, knew about the egg, as she laid it in Atlantis, where their enemy would never find it.

Little still is known about who this enemy was, or why they destroyed the entire population of the Archipelago. Dragon and Chris had found out, by returning to Atlantis, that Tiacarian, the dragon-killer, had massacred them, but the city itself disagrees with that. Something strange was going on here, and it still isn’t clear.

So, while the great City was lost, a small egg, hidden, was also slumbering. No one would know it was there. It wouldn’t hatch until a thousand years later, when Atlantis would resurface and be claimed again. But on the surface, things went as the prophecy warned. By the time the humans had come to Alagaesia, the Archipelago was little more than a legend, of opal dragons, dragonfly-winged time travelers, and the City of Atlantis.
Years passed, and history went on, and the Feathered Serpent died. He knew that what he’d come here to do was done, and the earth was left up to its own fate. So he did his final task. He asked the youngest of the opal dragons, the only one he believed to have survived, Iota, to safeguard the last two Ohnyaeli eggs.

His burden released, the Feathered Serpent vanished from the world. The evil king came, and with his dark dragon, he conquered the land. It fell under his shadow, but he was afraid, still afraid. So, he told all the people that the Ohnyaeli and the opal dragons were all a myth, that the great City and the people who inhabited it never existed. It became just a fanciful tale that mothers told their children.

But the king had his own problems. The Varden, and new dragon riders were just another of them. But far away, in the ocean, the prophecy awoke. For when the two Ohnyaeli, that the Feathered Serpent vowed to protected, came to Atlantis and woke the slumbering city, they also unintentionally woke something else. The egg, the Feathered Serpents egg, that had laid dormant for a thousand years, was about to hatch. And his name would be Quetzalcoatl….

Weapons: the standards-opal fire, claws, talons, very sharp teeth, his magic-when he figures it out- and a special blade on his tail. Normally, this blade is hidden from sight, but when Quetzalcoatl wants to, he can flip this blade out and attack w/ the speed of a scorpion. It has a curved shape sort of like Chris' throwing knives, but cylindrical. Normally he keeps the blade hidden in a flap of skin on his tail, but can flip it out in less than a second. Its sort of like a spine, except longer. Quetzalcoatl normally uses this to strike at his opponents behind him, or when he needs to attack quickly.

Likes: -chocolate, the ocean, shiny objects, precious stones, opals, water, ice, Atlantis, dragons, music, Ohnyaeli, cheese.

Dislikes: -evil stuff, the king, stupid people, seaweed, wyverns, salt, cabbage, deserts.

Animal Companions: -well, none. For now.

Character's Physical Description: Human form: He is about 5' 6'' tall, and has very pale skin. Also his hair is white, sparkles in the sunlight like an opal stone, and is short and slightly spiky. His eyes are green, and he has feathered wings- with a wingspan of about 10-12 feet-that Quetzalcoatl normally keeps hidden. He rarely wears shoes, and wears pants and a sleeve-less shirt that are usually light-colored or grey.

True dragon form: Quetzalcoatl, like all opal dragons, are very, very small for dragons. He is only about 10 feet long-including tail-and when standing up on his hind feet 6 feet. His entire body, is covered by short opal-colored fur, hiding the scales beneath. Quetzalcoatl has large green eyes, a long tail, and the oddest of all, wings almost twice his length that were feathered. They looked like griffin wings and have the same opal effect as the fur.

Dreams for the Future: - to figure out his powers, find his mother, and the last two Ohnyaeli.

Reason for Dreams: - pretty much self-explanatory, but Quetzalcoatl longs to have a family, and wants to find them (his mother and the Ohnyaeli) and he want to figure out the prophecy of his birth and just what he had gotten from his father.

Alignment/side: - doesn't matter too much to him.

wow….you don’t realize just how long that took!.

Wow. It's great, but could you go into more detail about the blade on his tail, where does he keep it, how is shaped etc. :D

oh yeah, should mention that opal dragons having almost no telepathic power, they actually speak out loud. Something to do w/ a wider tongue and shorter snout than other dragons. :D
