I'm writing a book, but I'm constantly criticizing it so I'm probably gonna start over.

why hello! i didnt expect replys this soon! i love to write, im actualy writeing my own book, its called the fire stones. so keep an eye out for it, i intend to publish. even if i have to go to a hundred publishers to have it done.

i like to write the only problem is that my stories only end up as like 5 pages so then i get p.o.ed and dont write for a year

I've been writing a book for a long time now, I've lost count of pages.

mine is 295 pages. i dont have trouble writeieing at all. its my escape from reality. its like, this movie is playing in my head that im not in control of. i dont even have to think about what i want them to do, my charectors act as if im not even writeing them.

I need to count mine. I think it's around the 140s, somewhere there, maybe a bit more, or a bit less.

well, not everyone has full blown gift for writeing, but the things you laboure for can be just as good, because its full of your struggle to make it great.

You really need to start RPing lol, you'll become a RPG mod in no time...lol

Sometimes writing makes me so intwined in it, whenever I go on a forum, I start typing it up in the replies lol.

that never happend to me, probably because im waiting to finish the rough draft before i start typeing.

When I write...it's the most of the time depenced of what I did, what I dreamed and what I want to express...If I would publish things which I write...I would have two books( ).
Still I write from joy and...both documents were brovsed when had to fix computer (acctually all my documents were browsed...forgetting is a exspencive thing ).
Right now I'm doing more a fan fic. thingy and I'm planning to do another lot-of-space-takening writing. I allready know about what and the title (when I've got the tocuh, it's better that I got a pencil and something to write on close by ).

I was up late getting all my made-up words onto my new laptop so when I get my book on it I wouldn't have to go through a sea of red lined words.

I am writing a book. It is quite long, 47 pages and starting on chapter twelve. It is fan fic and will get published, everyone says I am a born story teller.

It is, and most of the time I have no idea what is going on, I tend to zone out everywhere. I love story telling. My dad says make your passion your job, or something like that.

Sometime a song is enough to express that what you can't in story... I love writing everything! Stories, poems, fanfic...joust that I can write...it gives me some kind of feeling of freedom...that I'm in place where no one can't hurt me...on place where my thoughts and wishes are reality...like I can do anything and no one would me mad or say that it's not good or somthing like that...

Well if you think creatively enough you can express your emotions and thought in a book. It's just might take you a minute more to think of how.

Minute? Secund. When I get to keyboard or to pen...it's not the problem of how to do it, but how much Sometime...I write and I write...and then mom says that I had enough of computer (then I finnaly look to clock and I see that I was writing for hours and not minutes). My friends in school said that I'm crazy...and all because I allways was in my own thoughts dreaming or sitting on floor and writing. And even now if friends would see me they would say: Here we go again or she's again in her book...of course they all forget that I give them to read all my creations and they like it. Still I don't belive them. Writing is my opsesion and they know it, so no one would dare to take my dreams away. Because....tommorow means nothing if you don't have a dream for which you want to come true. Oh my....I'm again babling stupid things....

I have a notebook that I write in. I'll keep it until my books get published because I wrote the year I started writing my story and I'll write the date I get it published on it.

Yesterday my dad told me his laptop os now mine, but I still need to pay it off. I now can be on here forever and I can write with ease. He still needs to install Word onto here though.

Writing is great! I find it almost an escape and a way to express my inner self. It's for me a sort of freedom because you can write anything and everything. I haven't entered any stories and such into contests although most of my family and friends say that I should but I find it enjoyable and sometimes relaxing although I hate it when I get writers block.

I hate getting writers block to. I feel the same way about writing, no one can tell me what to write, I just write what I love to write about.

hi, i abslutly love righting and im thinking about righting a book about a 16 y.o. girl who has lived in the country all her life and then sudenly has to move to new york. what do u think i should call it

right now, im not realy doing much writeing, im just editing what i have, you know, marking down what doesnt go with the flow of the book, what needs more detail, what has too much detail, things like that, once i have that done, ill continiou writeing, at the moment, im in the middle of writeing an action scene where two dragons who are realy shape shifters who work for the villian are fighting two viper hybrid dragons. but the catch is, those two are traitors who will eventualy betray the villin and help the heros. the 4 creatures are fighting to dtermine what happens to the heros. if they loose, they get eaten, if they win, the heros move on to rescue the heroins kidnapped daughter, however, woops, im pretty much telling you the entior story, i should stop while i can, otherwise il keep going, and going and going.........ect.

I want to write so bad, but I have to wait until tomorrow.

Umm...just out of curiousity do you mind if I ask why?

Oh and I think I have an idea for something...wait maybe not..

Because my laptop doesn't have Wicrosoft Word on it, my dad is installing it tomorrow.

I love to write becuse I put my charaters in position that i'm in but, then it's also completly diffrent at the same time, it's also a way I can filter my emotions into something, becuse after long if I don't write or something I end up getting mad at something and I go completely go nuts and babble about stuff that was weeks ago that still makes my blood boil, if you ask my friends at school about it, they'd probably say it was the scariest thing the've been through.lol I have to give the two books i'm writing at the same time to my friend Taco (nick name) who's my editor becuse she's such a gramer freak! lol. I posted one of the stories I just started on the board and it's called a story without a tittle or something like that, I don't remember, but I think it has WAY too much description, but that's just me. Best thing at writing is, that you live through characters. It's like you can live in a new world...and you can make rules there, develop stories and characters and to twists...everything what heart desire. Well at least I feel like that.

When writing it's as though you fall into a wrold only known to you and you can do what ever you want to, and your Charators grow with you. Like one could be a talkitive person, and you change it to a quiet person. Stuff like that.

If I wasn't able to write, then my life would be a total mess, I would still have not thought through and sorted my life.

I know what you mean, but sometimes I don't even know the world I created, what ever I write is always somewhat of a mistery to me. And I have no idea why, it just is.

I've never really written whole books before, I'm ok with short stories, but I've never tried a novel, so I thought I'd give it a go. If I can write enough, I'm gonna make it into a trilogy, but If not, I'll try and squish it into one book. Something made me start half way through, so I'm gonna have to write the middle and end, then the start... weird. Anyway, if it turns out ok, I'll post it in fanfic, but I know that it may not be... appreciated by everyone It's pretty deep.

I needed some help with my tilltle so I just added a little part of my book on fan fiction, and asked people what they thought it should be.

I love writing! For me, it's how I release my emotions. Like when I'm feeling really happy I can go and make something really good happen to one of the characters in my book(s). Or, on the flip side, when I'm depressed I make soemthing happen to the villian that helps bring him down (this makes me feel better) Anyway, I love how when I write the whole world seems to stop (except when I'm asking for help with spelling.)

The only bad part about writing (for me at least) is when I have writers block, and I can't seem to do anything. I mean i can sit at the computer (ar in front of my notebook) and jsut sit their for hours. Not coming up with anything. How do you guys deal with writers block?

ok, karly (a 16 yo girl) is from Gorgia. her dads job is moving to new york. and since karly`s dad loves his job he is makeing the whole family move to NY. so bacically its a story about how a girl who has lived in one of those small towns all her life sudenly has to move to NY,NY.

If I get writer's block for 5 minutes or more, I usually leave it for a while, get up and do something. Then, when my writing is the last thing I'm thinking about, the perfect thing to write comes into my mind. Plus, I tend to set out a vague storyline/plot before I actually start.

See, its hard for me to have a definite plot when i start out because once i get into the story and realyl start to write i completely go off from that and do something completely and totally different! But thanks, Ill try doing something else and that does make sense that if you take your mind off it it will make sense..... ummmm that didnt really make sense, did it? lol

... I think I get what you're saying lol. I normally set out a plot like you would an RP character's history, as just vague notes. It means I have a broad range of stuff to write about, and can tweak odd bits to fit the story as I go.

hmmmm, sounds good and thats what i usually *try* to do but... im a pretty trandom person so in the middle of a story ill moer than likely end up completely changing what i had originally wanted to do and then a couple of chapters later change it back! woa, I just realized that I am completely crazy! lol

That's weird. but in a way it actually kind of makes sense.

I mean, if you start at the end then go to the beginning you know all that you need to and you can drop hints at the start about whats going to happen and who the disguised villian is (if that is the plot of the story) but its still really strange lol

Yeah. Well, it's confusing. I've been doing an RP with shade of fear on the dragon arts forums for some time. We've reached a point where we're both stuck for things to write, so I continued it as a book on my own, as if his character were never in it (sorry shade lol). Anyway, it's turned out pretty good, so I figured I'd carry it on as a whole book, so I'll have to re-write a completely different beginning without Shade's character.

i was on a shared computer with my brothers and i left my book up with out saving while i went to um.... relieve myself and my WONDERFUL! older brother decided that he could restart the computer!!!!! GAH! i had written 3 chapters that were each about 2,000 words!!! luckily i had been asking a friend for help on the wording of a some of the paragraphs on AIM and she still had the window open so i salvaged a few hundred words from that but i still had to rewrite a lot, anyway moral of the story - save a lot and rewriting things sucks

Kaliska shifted nearer to Ohanzee. They bumped shoulders gently, and she shied nervously. They were definitely becoming skittish. All the years of peace and normality they had spent in the forest they thought they knew so well seemed wasted with the realisation that change was coming. Either that, or it had always been like this, unseen by them.

Ohanzee had always been wary of magic, but this was something else. This was something unworldly, something not quite right. With all Talon's changes, and the new creature revealed, life was turning into something pretty abnormal, even worrying.

"Why are we still here?" Kaliska whispered in his ear.
"What does this have to do with us? Let's just go back to the herd." Ohanzee was about to reply, but no suitable persuading answer came to his lips. The truth was, he didn't know himself. He could see that Kaliska was as nervous and uncomfortable as he was, but he couldn't face going back. He didn't reply, and turned to gaze at the scene in front of them. Kaliska backed into the darkness of the trees, and through some instinct Ohanzee followed. There, they watched and waited.



Basically, they end up wandering off into the trees for a bit of a snog ROTFL! That's why I don't post my work, like I said, it wouldn't be appreciated by everyone.

i sometimes write the good old fashioned way too, but for me it is too slow when im really writing and my ideas come and go too fast for me to write them down lol
that, and i love dictionary.com (i cant spell at all) lol i dont think i could live without it

i actually am in the middle of two books/stories

the only problem is the site that i post them on doesnt work on my computer whenever i try to go to the site it comes up with this stupid thing that says the site doesnt exist but i know it does cuz ill get emails saying that i just got a new review or this author just updated their story anyway

they are both eragon fanfics the first one Awakening is 18 chapters in and is like an action adventure book
and The Rose is only 4 chapters in and is a romance/adventure book

LOL! That tends to happen to me as well. Working or reading two different things at the same time. Can get confusing but I think it's rather easy and fun.

Me too, why do we all write two things at once, I wonder why? I'm writing one fantasy and one science fic.

I write mroe than one thing at once jsut so i can get some veriety and some difference in the characters. like in one of them i could never have soemthing happen but it makes totaly sense in the other one

I write more than one thing at a time becuse if I get writers block I can work on something else to get my mind off that story.

That's a good idea. I just save my work on my laptop or on a disk. No a floppy though, that almost messed up my book.

I just write mine down, it means there's no chance of it accidentaly being deleted.
