I think he might. When Oromis was talking to him Eragon said that they could help him. It seems like the only option to me. Does anyone have any ideas?

Yes, they will have to save the eldunari, but it will be very difficult, and theres so many, how on earth will they move all of them? Unless the varden and the elves help...

It will definately be interesting to see the way he goes with this. I personally am hoping for an epic battle between Galby and Eragon. For some reason I think of Eragon removes the Uldari from Galby than the battle would be over quickly.

that's what i'm thinking too. it'll definitely happen after galby dies, unless like galby destorys them right before he dies or something

i think your over thinking it. if he steals them then it will be for power i think. Not to mention that no one really knows what the vault of souls are, and i think that there are too many eldunari to keep anywhere near him. the only problem is to get enough people in his strong-hold to steal all of them. and even if galbatorix does notice shats he going to do? with all that eldunari eragon would beat him i think.

after eragon kills galb then he will rescue them. Galbatorix probably has some of them set in his armor.

yeah, but there's the problem of even getting within a league of galbatorix without dying.

he won't have a problem getting near galbatorix. and as for the eldunari in the armor that was mentioned you might be right, but why would he rescue the eldunari after he beats galbatorix? it's not like he could do anything with them. the only logical explanation would be to smash them and set the conciounsious free, and that's only if the dragon wants it that way. it makes no sense at all to take them after galbatorix is dead.

well i think that they could move the eldunari with magic. remember in brisingr oromis tought him how to do that. he could teach people to do that. bring four or five people with him and they could move a considerable amount of eldunari in thirty minutes.

I agree that Eragon will try to get the Eldunari from Galbatorix, but first all, I don't think he can until Galbatorix is dead. He has to keep them very close to himself to be able to use them, and they are most of his strength. Also, I am sure that Eragon will not have them when he fights Galbatorix. It would be sooooo boring for him to beat him through superior strength. Rather I believe that Eragon will prevail through discovering weakness in Galbatorix (like Brom said in Saph's memory)

what about if eragon gets help from people who dont live in alagaesia? remember nasurda isnt from alagaesia too. also its possible that ther are more dragons outside the borders of alagaesia. maybe in the final book ther will be added a big part to the map

Oromis said that they were stored on vroengard and that they were all accounted for before vroengard fell to galbatorix.

exactly (amazing we agree). but i think that after eragon kills galby (or after galby kills himself) he'll find the eldunaris and put them all in a safe place that only a person with a dragon can reach since saphira'll probably be the only dragon at that time

i think that all this talk about grey people is pointless. i think that if they do come in. it will be to lead eragon away from alagaesia.

I had a theory...

Eldunari's basically contain a dragon's "soul" after it's body dies, so what if the VoS is where the majority of dragon's kept their Eldunari? Or it could even be where the wild dragons hid theirs. (Which is more likely, being as Galbatorix knew where to find the Riders' Dragons Eldunari.)

If Eragon does find them or it what will he do with them or it?

i like the idea of another vault, but if eragon's just gonna leave alagaesia, he should just take them with him then

Okay. The Eldunaris are the dragons' heart of Hearts am I right? That is what id=s giving Galbatorix so much power. If Eragon can figure out a way to get those Eldunaris temporarily, he can defeat Galbatorix once and for all.

How? Galby fly into battle on Shruikan? That could happen but it's not likely unless the Empire has been defeated and there is no more soldiers left. Then Galby might try to recruit soldiers from other villages that haven't been abanded.

Hmmm...If it was me, I'd have somebody make a gi-normous ruckus on one side of the city, and while Galbatorix was to busy to search my mind, I'd run in and snatch up as many Eldunari as I could. (But I seriously doubt that plan would work, because he'd most likely know I was there as soon as I reached the Eldunari.)

Yes, ruben, he did say that, but I still doubt that all dragons would want their Eldunari stored in the same place. They probably knew that something could come along (like Galby) and it would be disastrous if he had ALL of them. (Which he probably has quite a few of them anyway.) So I bet there is somewhere out there where the wild dragons stored their Eldunari BEFORE the Rider's came along, and some of them probably continued to store their Eldunari there.

there's a really simple solution to all of this: galby either accidentally kills himself or gets killed by murtagh saving eragon, then murtagh dies by galby's hands, and eragon's free to waltz in, pick up the eldunaris, take them to safe place, and have it over with

Yeah, but if that happened, it would cut a couple of pages off the book, and the longer it is, the more can happen. (And the longer I get to enjoy it.)

Hmmmm...He'll probably start off by contacting the dragons within them to ask if they would like to continue living in their Eldunari. The one's that say no, he'll most likely destroy, if that's what they want. They one's that say yes... I'm not sure. He'll probaby give them to the elves to protect. (I would not envy the person that tried to steal something from an elf.) Either that, or like...crap, I forgot... said, take them with him when he leaves Alagaesia.

Well, the power said to be inside the VoS could still be the Eldunari. Remember, that's where Galby and Murtagh's power comes from, the Eldunari they've forced to do their bidding (such as giving them their energy/power.) So it's still entirely possible that the VoS contains Eldunari.

You're right i91, that could be some foreshadowing, although if someone does try to get in, I don't think it will be Eragon. It's to dangerous and Saphira would never let him.

power doesn't necessarily mean power given to eragon. i seriously think that when eragon speaks his name to open the VoS, the souls will bond together to form one entity, and that entity will be all-powerful and kill galby before going back to the VoS

that's why the VoS doesn't contain eldunaris.

Garrow was pretty early in the series. I nearly forget about him until Eragon mentions him in the books.
