lol that funny now to your post Arya if you remimber in book one "Eragon" Angla said that when Eragon is in need of a Weapon to look under the Meno tree so i dont know of he gets a sword or some other weapon.....

Or, part of the training is putting the magic in it... Orik make it and then the dragon rider has to make it eternally sharp.

I think that maybe Eragon will look under the tree and find the first Eragon's sword. That sounds more likely. I don't think he'll get Brom's old sword because the reason Brom took Zar'roc in the first place was because he lost his while he was fighting Morzan.

y would he find Brom's sword? didn't brom go out and get his sword destroyed and ask for a new one? and if he didn't actually lose his sword, y would he burry it under the menoan tree?

it says he lost it. he may not have put the sword there (if it's broms.)
but he may have so that the future rider would have the weapon in the future if he was not around to pass it down. he may have been the one to ghide it in order to protect it. ...just a thought

that could be, the sword could contain secrets as to how to find the vault of souls or where else in the world dragons r, but I truly dought that. I don't think Brom would have burried his sword, but it flows with the story because Ayra said that she had never heard of a weapon under the tree, and if it was buried by Brom secretly and recently, no one would know about it.

THIS IS REALLY OFF TOPIC------Hey has anyone else noticed this? about the only info shared about the first rider is that he raised the egg in secret and helped communicate between the elfs and the dragons? That is about all they say about him. I bet there will be much more info aboout him later.

I also think it is Eragon the first's sword too. It would sort of make sense.

Anyone here thibnk that in the book that the afterlife exists? I mean that you come back to life after you die in this story? Eragon the second could also be Eragon the first or even Varel because it sort of sounds like Eragon to hesitate with the final blow. And Galby could be the guy who cast the fatal spell before the Acient languange came into play. To me it sounds right.

Eragon has to get a new sword. that is the weapon of a Dragon Rider, much like a Lightsaber is the weapon of a Jedi, they can use others, but it is the common and best one for there type.

if you wondering my connnection with jedi and dr, dr has magic, jedi has force, sword/lightsaber dragon/star fighter (last one not that good)

umm, well, yea... I see the connection between it all, and I hope that the new weapon will be an awsome sword that CP draws in the Book III Deluxe Edition.

i dont' know about him drawing it, you need to think of it yourself. anyway, if he drew a pic i would want it with eragon holding the sword, not just a pic of the sword.

Your idea is quite a reasonable one but what if elfin smith shares her methods [instead of making a new sword] with Orik's clan and together with the dwarf clan's skill and the elfin smith methods they form a new sword for Eragon.
Afterall, Eragon now belongs to Orik's clan and since the Riders had always wanted to bring the dwarves, elves and humans together the elfin smith may agree to share her methods.
After all they all want the downfall of Gabby.
