I can assure you mentally I am young and immature .

I'm not going to give you one of those "when I was your age" speeches exaggerating how much I enjoyed VHS tapes and playing Star Fox on the SNES (my dad paid like 400$ for that thing in 1994 dollars, rolf).

I can never remember birthdays, people usually have to poke me and say, "hey, its my birthday".
My brother was born on my second birthday (woot, simplification) and almost everyone in my family was born on the 17th of some month (lol).
I remember CP's birthday only because his is November 17 1983 and mine is December 17, 1983 (he beat me to it, drats).

the only reason i sometimes feel old at 21 is because i mean im getting ready to start my career and most people in my field are alot older than me!! plus the fact that my career choice u cant be immature @ all it just really cant happen. and also anther reason y i feel old is because of my rheumatoid arthritis i mean hello i have a body of like an 80yr old or joints of an 80 yr old i should say!!!

Wow...I didn't realize how many 13-14 year olds there were on this sight, though I'm not surprised. lol. I'm seventeen...eighteen in May...can't wait bcuz around the same time (a week later) I graduate and move out. YAY!

I will be twenty-one this month. It is strange to think that so much time has gone by. It feels just like yesterday that I turned twenty! This year has flown.

I'm actually 17! Yay!! Took long enough but it still feels kinda odd... I mean, I can still remember when I was in, like, third grade and I saw some highschoolers and was humbled by them! So strange...

age iz nuthin nowadays, all it iz, iz a way 2 look down at ppl , my family looks down at me bing the youngest, n the onli 1 not 18, so bcouse ov tat my mind iz not az"developed" az theres, tho i culd woop the behindz in n IQ test nmuch more bsides, so dont feel ashamed at wat age u might be, christ at ur age i was reading books at a 12th grade level, which iz gud considering most my family cant read

Look at it this way:

Things to enjoy while young:

1. Your parents (maybe not them, but they feed you and pay the rent )
2. Free food!
3. Free room and board!
4. Free transportation!
5. Easier homework!
6. Tons of free time

Things to look forward to when you get old:

1. A job (or more schooling that eventually leads to a job)
2. Taxes (ouchies, like 20-40% of your income just got nuked)
3. Rent (hey, even cardboard boxes cost money)
4. Food, more specifically buying it (like $100+ a week, and I'm skinny)
5. Significant others (because they 'costs' money too, particularly in my little brother's case, he would like give 100% of his income to his girlfriends)
6. Parents (yes, your parents will take your money! payback is a 'llama')
7. Kids! adorable, and 100-300$ a week per child

Like all of those dreams you had as a 12 year old about turning 20 and blowing insane amounts of money on cars and xboxes and stuff, that doesn't happen until you are 40 and bald.

Enjoy your childhood to the fullest, it doesn't last very long, and you will miss it.

well im still looking forward to growing up....for starters i'll be able to do more at horseriding.
at least next year all the fun stuff starts at school

lol, i waz working from 14, i got a full tyme job now, its gud, i got evrything i want, for now, cloths, gud fone, tv, laptop (MY TAX LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL) n money to spare, n next yr 4 my 18, im not even gunna go out, couse iv been lyk BEEN THERE DONE TAT, ive lived my life, all in the past 5 months ive had off work, so dont take the tyme u have for granted, for u culd get a full tyme job 2morro

Well I don't know if anyone said they wanted to be 20 (source of my confusion xD ), but I think the aversion to the number is a sort of disillusionment with the perceived (vast) change. The same reason is behind why prices in stores are 4.99 and not 5. Objectively, it's not much, but boy it sure does feel like a lot. Besides, who wants to grow up?

And I'm just pretending that I'm not falling prey to what I just explained. xD
