kinda but im on my fourth file. playing on the dark side is more fun and easier because you get more force attacks instead of the light side shields and heals.
Oh and yes you can get them both for PC

Hey, the story for the second one I thought was more imaginative, even though the game was filled with bugs. Now if they had only finished the game before they released it...

The only problem with II is that lucas arts was so rushed to make it that they hastily made everything; there are bugs, problems with saving, and there is always the fact that they made barely any extra doors with stuff to get from them. Like their are extra doors but you can't get in them.
The pc game is better bcuz they took the time to make everything accessible, not to mention they give you an option for a different character instead of HK. It's better made then the one for xbox, but the xbox version is still fun.

I like these games, and the second one did have a lot of bugs, but sometimes the story makes you do things that are kind of annoying, and then I get frustrated from going back and forth too much.

I agree with redshurtugal08 about the annoying stuff. Like on Telos running back and forth through the docks, entertainment module, and residential modules is annoying. I also hate Peragus. Luckily they have skip Telos and skip Peragus mods.

Haha, I have both of them. Telos isn't so bad, though because you can use those little terminals to warp to the different modules. I believed that the story was better than the first one.

I am highly anticipating this, because it will make the game more like it should have been! Of course, I have been following and waiting for this project for almost two years now, but it is close to completion.

That would work nicely.... I'm not sick of it yet because I've recently learned that you can have the same amount of fun and a lot more entertainment playing as a guy, if your a girl. Though I do like the conversations between the female player and Carth on taris.... hehe

I've played as both male and female characters through the first game because I have been trying to hear all the dialog in the game. The Taris bit was hilarious the first time I heard it Later in the game, I avoid some parts because it can get too disturbing. But still funny! I like playing as the female character sometimes because there are not as many female heroines out in the fictional world(movies, games, etc). And it's fun to beat the mess out of other characters.

Exactly!!!! I generally try to play at all angles...... but I play as a girl first, because I am a girl. And besides those few games that do have female options are often a better experience, because you can see the game in a female pov.

I am a traditional light-sider because it's hard to a be a bad guy, destroy the galaxy and all that. I actually have never finished a dark playthrough, but I'll do it sometime to hear the dialogue. How about you?

Light-side all the way! I have a very strong conscience so I feel horrible when I get darkside points...... besides it's so hard to stay a dark-sider, with all those poor innocent people you have to kill, etc. etc..

Yeah, I know, that's what gets me in the first game It's alot easier in TSL with Kreia "guiding" you and all. I've only played through TSL 1.5 times though, becuase I am waiting for TSLRP.

I play light-side all the time too. the only time I ever get dark side points is when I duel the death match with that one guy on Taris. I ain't let him call me a coward. playing dark side makes me feel all weird. killing people... that's just crazy. especially when I saw one of my friends kill that one crazy guy in a locker on that water planet(can't believe I forgot the name). he moans all loud, and I shivered for a moment.

That is funny, but not when your killing him. If you want to be darkside really easy, just do the net change on the Rakata planet, when Bastila is trying to get you to join her and over throw Malak, that's what I'm going to do. Just don't take a team with you..... doestn't turn out well.

I already knew about the summit and everything, but if you were a consular that means you weren't as stong in strength related attributes as a Guardian (thats what I play as most times) would. Besides Jolee's a consular and Juhani is a guardian and thier not very strong for Jedi...... no offense If you really like them, but truthfully Bastila is a way cooler Jedi then them.....

She is, I hate Juhani. Jolee can be fairly funny, so thats entertaining. When I did it they were level 20 like me, and Juhani beat us up while he did all these force powers. Bastila can be annoying too; such a hypocrite. She goes on about how your character shouldn't fall to the dark side, then goes and does it. And tries to make Lord Revan return too.

No, GOTO is useless. I left him in the spaceship the whole time. What about Mandalore? Does anybody like him? Or Visas? That is where I could see the incompleteness of the game: the character's backstories. All they had really was a bunch of questions to ask them. At least in the first game each character had a side quest!

I usually use my PC, Visas, and Atton. I also use my PC, Visas, and Mandalore or HK-47. I agree GOTO is useless. They have a mod on http://www.knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com called Darth Dementorous (sp?). It replaces GOTO with a sith lord called Darth Dementorous. He's awesome!

Oh, well I'm hoping that TSLRP will make it a little better. I'm hoping for a KOTOR 3. A new graphics engine, a good story like TSL, party member backstory, the list goes on That's what I'm hoping for.

Yeah, I know, i think they are in fact working on it, but I'll try and find proof when I'm feeling less lazy. They CAN'T let such a series as this to die, especially since almost all the other SW games suck.(Except for RC maybe and XWing Alliance )

RC was good, never played Xwing. battlefront was decent, Xwing Rogue Squadron II and III were ok, and Force Unleashed looks good. about it. Game Informer gave it like an 80% chance of a KOTOR 3

Rogue squadron 2 was cool, but 3 was garbage. Such a waste of good material. And it was far too easy.
KOTOR wise, they'll probably make one, because the first two were very successful.

3 had some fun bonus levels, but I'm not sure how canon it all was. and the 3rd person ground controls s.u.c.k.e.d.. the yoda level was hard. Still am on the last level on 2--the trench run. Havne't tried it in FOREVER though.

I know, the thing I liked about 2 was that it was so hard. I haven't beaten the last mission and i've had it for 5 years or so. Haven't played it in a year though
The ground on three was absolutely terrible, the space fights were kind of fun but easy.

one thing i hated about 2 was the lack of homing torps. They were useless against TIEs. But the Maw mission was hard, years ago, and the Star Destroyer, when i was younger, but now its easy. Have to use a B-wing.
one thing about 3 i like was that you could use all the other vehicles, like the N-1 Naboo Starfighter, Jedi Starfighter, Slave I, Falcon, etc.

Re: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
the groundbased survival was really hard. The space version, not so much. Use Slave I and scatter the bombs everwhere.....TIEs all gone. The flying wasn't too bad, but not being able to roll and dive/turn/etc at the same time was annoying. Two games i want made are:
1) A Mandalorian game. All ground combat, customizable armor/weapons/helmet functions, and more. Get promoted, get more men to command, choose where you fight, etc. Online would rock.
2) A starfighter piloting game. Could be fun. And if you could fly Chiss Clawcraft, Besu'liik, Xwings, and other various ships, online might be fun.
but mostly the first. AND RC2!! i'm still waiting for it.

Except make that Mandalorian game a real time RPG....best game ever!
As for the second one, check out X-WIng Alliance. Old game, but fun. A modern version of that like what you mentioned....that would be great too, except it would have to be PC(joystick) And online for both I actually haven't beaten the ground survival yet......fricking impossible The space one was really easy except I used the Jedi Starfighter

don't know if i beat either, but w/e. The ground was IMPOSSIBLE though. probe droids were way too tough. and the Jedi Starfighter uses sonic bombs too. same basic thing.
And for the Mandalorian, an RPG would be fun, but so would an FPS. Cus the action of the FPS's are great, but can't have as good a story line, or interaction.

Re: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Yeah, it seems that way. The thing about Lucas that bothers me nowadays is his insisting that Star Wars should be targeted at 12-13 year olds. Jar Jar, the ridiculously easy puzzles in KOTOR/TSL, the whole "prequels" basically, etc.
I was just thinking about the Legos actually, I have seen enough of them but that's about the only thing that gets on Nintendo's platforms. (And of course I could go on about Nintendo making too many kid games)
Battlefront is boring. I think I might get "The Best of PC" pack for RepCom and Empire at War...
"One of the things we like to joke about is just the sheer amount of content we're doing," Ohlen mused. "Our fans ask, 'Why aren't you doing Knights of the Old Republic 3?' What we're really doing is Knights of the Old Republic 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12-plus. We have that much content and that many stories...We really get to do a lot of things we really wouldn't get to do in [a] KOTOR 3."
Quote:
So what is the setting for this massive epic? The Old Republic takes place 300 years after the events of the original Knights of the Old Republic games, or about 3,600 years before the events of the films
Uh huh, KOTOR 3 my ass.
Lucasarts made it an MMO for one reason. Money. (mostly fees) So I ask myself this. Do I want to pay Lucasarts for the experience of dealing with more jerks and a-holes than I already do?
If anybody is giving this strange looks , let me mention that this is the only game series I actually care about. Well Metroid Prime.... Anyways, over the years I have played many astoundingly bad SW games. Even bought a couple. I had given up on my favorite nonexistant universe until I discovered the joy that is knights of the old republic. Haha. I am sad. In both ways.
Never mind that my computer almost definitely can't run it. Ah well. Life goes on.

Lol. Man, you've got it bad Kotor... If It'll crash your comp, why not just save up for a laptop? With Vista. Despite what they say Vista is pretty good... for me at least...

Re: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Eh, probably do. Was kind of looking forward to it after all.
I hate Vista. Everything is too small, except the icons which are too big. The whole smooth styled interface thing is ugly and will probably slow down my computer. They changed things around to be different like the "Office button" or whatever that is. Office 07 is great by the way, lots of new and useful functions. Except for the fact that it slows down my computer so much I can't do anything for 15-20 min after I turn it on. That's not that useful.... And what is Vista but a classic example of "fixing what ain't broke." XP works fine for me and has for 4 years. And it's still being supported.
I do have a laptop, isn't it also a computer? It's also 4 years old, which means it's obsolescent. Had way too much trouble making the first two work(barely).

this is one of my most favorite games ever. As is stands now, it is only passed up by Prince of Persia series. Over the years game interests fall away, but this one hasn't. I haven't played the second one yet, but I'm trying to get it, with it's original artwork, and manual as well. I bought the 1st one secondhand so I'm trying to get the artwork and manual for that one as well.
I recommend picking up some of the restoration mods for k2. =] I've been using them for years. =] And some other good ones for both games, they really enhance the replay value. A good one for K1 is the Brotherhood of Shadow series. And the (official) music patch for K2 is really worth it.
I bought both games back in 2006, and they're still among my favorites. Curious about this MMO thing too.

I'm curious about that too, but I'm not a big fan of MMOs, though I will keep an eye on it. If the opportunity arises, I may just look into it more.
On the official site, I think it was anyway you can Google it, but it has an entry to be one of the pre-release game testers. I'm not quite old enough yet, otherwise I would've signed up.
