does saphira die.......i dont know but it would be cool if it happened in the last battle to save eragon from a fatal blow from gaby's magic.....i've also heard that in the third book eragon would meet a god so maybe after she die's and after all the dramatic stuf she comes to life as a gift from the god....it could be the other way around with eragon dieing to save saphira but ethier way..its a cool idea

all i can say is that if CP kills Saphira, we should mount an army and storm his house with torches and pitchforks until he changes it. that or he runs away in fear and we never get the fourth book......hmmmm, that wouldn't be good.



but there is a slight possibility of her dying, but i really dont think it would, because what is really going to happen is that eragon and saphira are going to battle galbatorix, somehow win, the third egg is going to be destroyed, and murtagh is either going to live or die, i dont particularly care. then eragon is going to leave roran in charge of the whole empire, and then eragon is going to leave to look for saphiras mate. while they are away, they find an island and eragon falls in love with someone, and they decide never to leave, fulfilling angelas prophecy. eventually, some of saphira and ______'s descendants go back to alageasia and natural balance is restored. HALLELUJAH!!!!

i highly doubt Saphira will die. because if you remember his dream and Angela's predictions they point to Saphira being alive, Eragon & Arya getting married(or however they decide to do that), and that Saphira finds a mate before they leave Alegasia. because i don't think he'd leave happily if half of himself was killed.

Although Eragon and Saphira dying would be an awesome choice (because it would reveal that Paolini has some real guts as a writer, allowing me to become a full blown fan all over again) it is simply impossible. Prophecy is the trump card for all good endings in a fantasy novel (why USUALLY they are purposefully ambiguous) and prophecy declares that Eragon leaves on a fancy elf ship with his true dragon riding love. Or perhaps that was just Eragon being a meglomanic again.

yes, that dream that everyone has been talking about, it could've been just a dream. just because some of eragon's other dreams came true, doesn't mean that one will. it isn't really guaranteed prophetical. and even though angela is most likely right, doesn't mean it's absolute truth. and by leaving alagaesia forever could mean in death.

Well, the prophecy also was that he would either live eternally, or have anextremely long life, so that rules out the death, unless CP wants to extend th "Cycle" into like an "Octilogy" (if its even a word...) to make up the time.
