I finished the book today while reading both in a week its left me shocked and a little anoied that i cannot read the 3rd book to find out what is going to happen , the new rider eragon being the son also lol all i can say is i could not put etheir of the books down what an epic story at that,

many thoughts come to mine tho such as we still do not know what the warecate ment by his riddle what wepon will be under the tree ? i spose we will find out soon sinced eragon just had is sword taken away from him !

Also i have the thought of the 3rd egg going to his cousin because they are blood tied and since the new rider his his brother it could be a posibilty at that i spose

Im also curious about the film too because i myself also enjoyed the harry potter books but when the film came out even tho they where some of the best films ive seen they left alot out of the book which effected it imo, i rearly hope they do not do this with eragon although i know they will be stuck with the time of the film i think missing out bits would not show the story line aswell if they are trying to keep to the story line of the book that is.

Also i belive that we have only seen a bit of eragons power this is because as it says towards the end of eldest that the new rider how stronger power then him , i belive and hope there is more to come because throughout reading the books the sudden twists just made it all that more enjoyable ! ,

will eragon and arya eva get together or is there someone to come in the 3rd book that we do not yet know of ! or could it be the leader of the varda as she is of nooble standerds too

anyways this has proberly already been talked about but i just wanted to get it of my mind because im so curious as you probly all are which is to come sorry about my english btw im not so good

not nessceraly, roran could be just a great warrior that gets lifts for Eragon. many think it will be Arya, green dragon, green magic, but elva presents possibilties to, and you musn't forget the boy who broughnt Eragon to the council of the varden, (and the girls to, can't forget that.) he could be it.

well... i think roran wouldnt be it cause he doesnt trust himself much when it comes to hunting, or something a warrior does because he puts in his mind that eragon is better than him in any ways... but roran could be one of the people who would be for all we know there are many possibilities..

i just wish eragon wont have to fight someone close to him...

but until now i really dont know who'd be the traitor (one of eragon's realative) to him... maybe murtaugh or roran or maybe someone who'll appear in the book... this is so thrilling... i cant wait for book 3...

I think the new rider will be elven. Look at it this way, Murtagh is human. Eragon is a sort of "half-elf" if you will. Now to bridge the connection, wouldn't it make sense that Arya or possibly Vanir, the young elf Eragon dueled, would be the newest rider. Just a thought.

i more think it will be arya because currently all the other riders are male

So, that doesnt mean anything. Female or male doesn't make a difference, if females can be chosen.

what do you have against there being a female rider you seem to deny there could be at every turn
