Skills: Zathar can become one with nearly any shadow his size or larger by combining that which he had learned in the Du Sundavar Knífr compound with magic learned from various masters of magic encountered on his travels. By changing his material make-up Zathar may become part of any shadow revealing only his outline. This ability may also be used to travel from one end of the shadow to the other end almost instantly making it easy to travel heavily shadowed areas in ease. Though not a perfect art only those with a sharp eye have the slightest possibility of seeing him when he is standing still. The magic involved in doing this will commonly leave Zathar slightly fatigued.

Hair: all shiny baldness except for a white braid 3 inches long placed at the nape of his neck.

Character Personality: Zathar, being expertly trained in the arts of killing and obscurity is obviously a cold blooded killer whom only cares about the money and the thrill kill, or so he thought until he was charged with killing a young elf girl a little over 2 years ago. Since then Zathar has noticed that he is becoming more docile the more powerful his mastery of magic becomes coming to the conclusion that his elf heritage is over taking his human savageness. An example is maybe that few could call Zathar a half-breed or even mention it 50 years ago in a conversation and hope to leave with there head still attached. Now it could be brought up in a conversation and the speaker would only receive a flat glare. Though he refuses to accept it he has also lost some of his lust for the kill. Zathar has also begun giving some of his earnings from his jobs to the needy and elderly out of deeply buried instinct. How ever Zathar still refuses to show mercy to those that have wronged him in any way greater than picking his pocket. Being a man of short patience and temper the two things that he has prided since the realization of his “taming”, as he calls it, he is not a man to cross in any way especially when he is suffering from restlessness from being in the same spot for too long with out a job.

Character History: bred to be the perfect assassin by an secret organization called Du Sundavar Knífr that creates killing machines by combining the magical powers of an elf with that of captured Dragon Riders both human and eleven. However Zathar, considered to be Du Sundavar Knífr’s greatest creation had escaped at the young age of 25, killing all the guards in the compound with his bare hands. Since then Zathar has been traveling the land seeking jobs worthy of his abilities. Realizing that they had trained Zathar so well, the Du Sundavar Knífr began to track Zathar down and attempt to make Zathar work for Du Sundavar Knífr. At this point Zathar had manifested the ability to use magic and sought out masters of magic to teach him to harness it. So for 25 years roaming the land completing jobs, harnessing the uses of magic, and avoiding the Du Sundavar Knífr; Zathar comes to the conclusion that if he is to roam the land and kill people as he is paid to do he must kill off those that support the Du Sundavar Knífr and those part of its main head. And thus for the last 23 years he has done just that killing off his creators one by one. As of now only 3 people that are assisting in Du Sundavar Knífr attempts to capture Zathar still live. Now lacking man power the Du Sundavar Knífr had temporarily given up trying to capture Zathar. During his travels Zathar had encountered a high ranking general of galby’s army that has offered Zathar with jobs over the last 10 years
Excerpts from the journal of Zathar: I encountered the “monkey suited cliff nosed man” (the general’s nickname given to him by Zathar because of his rich clothes and large nose) today and he has given me another job: a farm boy traveling with a story teller is to be killed by any means possible.
2 months later: I have located the farm boy on his way out of Teirm and have fallowed them till roughly supper time where I suspect that the boy will go out and explore his surroundings it is then that I will strike…
Zathar swept from shadow to shadow all the while checking the trip wires that he had laid for the boy to make sure that they were set correctly it was not often that Zathar had time to set traps for his pray but when he did he made sure every thing was perfect. Stealing behind a tree at the sound of approaching foot steps the farm boy came into view by a small creek by which Zathar had laid a snare incase escape over the river was attempted as the farm boy came to the snare he jumped over it only to slip as he landed and fall into the stream. At first upset that the farm boy had jumped his snare he heard a stream of curses from the stream to indicate that his target has injured him self “I suppose that works too…” as Zathar came into killing range the farm boy bolted as fast as he could the way he came “great now I have to chase him down” he growled trailing the farm boy back to the camp edge. There Zathar’s eyes befell a great sight: a dragon of a blue not that different from that of a sapphire protecting an old man Zathar recognized as the story teller. However his awe was short lived as Zathar sensed the approach of Urgals and decided that they would do the job for him or waste their lives fighting a dragon. With this thought Zathar left with out a backward glance.


Weapons:
• Dirk: looted off his first target, an eleven blacksmith it has become his weapon of choice. Often coated with a deadly poison from a desert snake. It will often kill within minutes of entering the blood stream.
• Retractable Sleeve blades: assassin standard issue perhaps the only thing that has been kept since Zathar’s escape but now slightly modified with barbs. They are strapped to Zathar’s forearms. The blades are triggered by a lever opposite the side of the blades. Often used when the poison on the Dirk is gone these see combat often.
• Bow and arrows: the only thing truly normal in Zathar’s arsenal and by far the least used it’s of eleven make Zathar never seems to have more then 5 arrows on him at a time…
• Magic: the ability to harness this power was manifested at the age of 33 he’s magic wields a yellow color.
• Shade powder: a powder that can be coated on to any weapon. Made by Zathar him self for encounters with shades this powder travels through the body of a shade after flesh has been broken by a weapon coated with this powder and causes the heart to explode with the force of a 1,000 bulls. This makes any shade a walking time bomb when Zathar is done with it.

Character's Physical Description: Of a stocky build and only standing 5 foot 6 inches Zathar is indeed short but at the perfect height for sneaking around. Having gray eyes with red pupils and a shiny head gives Zathar an odd appearance. Having scars that cover his body head to toe obtained in combat with worthy foes. The most noteworthy of these scars being the three that run parallel down his back and the one that streaks across his face from his left temple across his brow halfway and drops down between Zathar’s nose and right eye and then continues onward to the base of his jaw on the right side. Often seen wearing a white robe and cloak that changes colors with its surroundings with his hood up to prevent his shiny head from attracting attention

Dreams for the Future: a life of freedom from the Du Sundavar Knífr and to view a raid their training facility in the middle of the Hadarac.

I really like this character, especially the Shade Powder. ok, so, aeraldi will need to approve, i wasnt sure of his verdict from that last post.
