well, i've heard that Twilight was pretty good, but i voted for Lightning Thief. if ur into Greek Gods and mythology, than its DEF the book for you, but even if ur not, it's still a good adventure, as long as u don't criticize it for copying Harry Potter a bit. Twilight and Lightning Thief are both part of a series, so if u liked one, u cud read more.

Hmm....Lightning Thief is more fantasy. If you're looking for a realistic fiction and classic, then you should read Call of the Wild. I voted for it :D Surprisingly, it's a good book. I read it this year for school. Plus it's short and easy :D which is why I liked it. But also because it was interesting. The story is mainly told through the view point of a dog. So idk....it's your choice :D

Well, I've read The Lightning Thief and Touching Spirit Bear, and I guess they were okay. Though The Lightning Thief's not ALL about Greek mythology and stuff. It's included in there, but it kinda teaches you about that stuff. But it copies some other books too. And Touching Spirit Bear's about some kid who gets banished to a deserted island and learns how to be... good. lol But I'd recommend The Lightning Thief.

What I'd recommend is Lightning Thief. It was pretty well-written, and it's also pretty popular. But DO NOT READ TOUCHING SPIRIT BEAR. You'd think it's good, but most of it is filled with stuff that could annoy you if you're not patient. And the ending... just terrible. They don't elaborate on anything afterwards. Not even an epilogue. Simply a huge cliffhanger. And there's not even a sequel.

lol. I'd TOTALLY recommend The Lightning Thief because it was interesting, well-written and had a little bit of Greek mythology. You might think Greek mythology is boring, but this book has something that makes it fun. I don't want to spoil the book for you, but there are MANY surprises throughout t the book and even at the end when you think everything is okay. I haven't read the sequel, but it sounds pretty good, too. :D

Ya I think the Lightning Thief copied Harry Potter and Eragon. It copied Eragon because he named his sword (only a small copy though) and I forget how it copied Harry Potter...

Ya, I guess so. And I think it had two boys and a girl traveling around together just like in HP, but that isn't that big.

about the 2 boys and a girl, dat isn't such a big copy thing. i mean, its not like Rick thought, "hmmm.... i shud copy harry potter's characters' genders cuz i like copying ppl." it was his choice. it wudn't be as interesting with 3 boys newayz...

also, just about the naming the sword copying thing, sokka. u cud say eragon then copied the king arthur stories cuz king arthur's sword was named excalibur. so eragon wasn't the first book to have the sword named. its pretty common. if u were on a quest, wouldn't u name ur sword? i wud.

Mm hm, always glad to help! Although I disagree with you and your Lightning Thief opinion, lol. When I read Rick Riordan's book it seemed to me that he read a lot of other fantasy stories and gathered ideas from different authors and piled them into a story of his own. Idk that was just how I saw it.
