Skills: From the time when Skygge turned thirteen he showed great skill with the bow. At fifteen his dad made him his first bow and at eighteen he could hit almost any target that he wanted to. Skygge can shoot a target 400 yards away in complete darkness and in the light it is almost impossible to escape one of his arrows from up to 1000 yards, however it is possible for him to hit something 2000 yards away. This skill however is only possible because of his wonderful eyesight. He can see things up to a mile away in the light and up to 500 yards away in pitch darkness. However, his eyes become strained if he uses them in this way for long and so he restrains from using this skill in everyday life. Skygge also wields a sword but he is not a master with the blade. He can protect himself in hand to hand combat against regular foes but is they are masters with a sword spear or any other close range weapon he will soon be overpowered. He does not prefer the sword but constantly trains in order to be able to protect himself in hand to hand combat.

Character Personality: Skygge is a man of few words and prefers action over talk. He has a quick temper and a sense of honor and integrity. He is honest and kind and does not enjoy cruelty. He loves peace but when he is aroused he is a dangerous foe. Skygge is practical and serious and finds joking or fooling around a waste of time and an inconvenience. He is merciless to his enemies and shows no quarter in battle; however to his friends he is a gentle man who will do anything to protect them. He does not act without thinking on the consequence of his actions. Skygge does not participate in arguments or quarrels as he finds them a waste of valuable time. He is perseverant and when he starts a job he will finish it without being distracted. He is honorable and will protect a complete stranger from injury or death. Skygge finds comfort for himself, and pain, unnecessary inconveniences. He does not fear death for himself but does fear for the lives of others. He does not trust anyone who has not proven their loyalty to him, and he usually sticks to his own ideas and is not generally given to listening to someone else’s. He can be stubborn at times but always looks out for the good of others and their wellbeing. However, he looks out for himself, and his life is very important to him; this could be his undoing...

Character History: Skygge was born to Derth and Challise in the city of Uru’baen. For his first thirteen years he led a normal life until he showed great skill with the bow. Unfortunately, a soldier in king Galbatorix’s army heard about his skill and soon the captain of the army had come around with an order from Galbatorix to take custody of Skygge when he turned sixteen. His parents did not pay much attention to this for the next three years until the same captain came to their house ordering them to relinquish Skygge into Galbatorix’s army. When they refused, the captain had them arrested, but Skygge had already run away. For the next month, Skygge was constantly running from the empire. Eventually, they caught him and started the journey back to Uru’baen, but during the night Skygge escaped again. The soldiers spread out and searched for him and eventually found him. Skygge fought and killed many of them but they overwhelmed him. They took him back to camp and gave him fifty lashes for the trouble he had caused. The journey was about to resume when an elf named Sinthar rescued him and promptly healed him. However, Skygge’s wounds where horrible and he had to be taken to Ellesmera. Sinthar and Skygge became good friends, so much so, that the elf sang a bow from a tree for the young archer. Skygge stayed with the elves for two years, but left to search for his parents. He returned one years later without a trace of them, only to hear that Sinthar, in worry had left to find him. Skygge decided to wait in Ellesmera for Sinthar’s return. After a few months in Ellesmera Skygge heard about legions of demons who ravenged the lands of Algaisia and about a powerful demon; the demon lord. He vowed he would find him and end the age of darkness that Alagaisia had fallen into.

Weapons: Skygge’s bow was sung out of a tree for him by his elf friend Sinthar. It is intricately designed with a battle raging from tip to tip and looks more like a ceremonial bow than a bow for actually using in battle, and yet it is a very powerful weapon, especially in Skygge’s hands. Skygge caries with him a plain one handed sword and a small dagger.

Character's Physical Description: Skygge is strongly built with strong shoulders and a squared jaw. He has long, coal black hair and deep, dark brown eyes. He is muscular and full of immense reserves of energy. He is about 6feet 5inches. His back is a huge mass of scars from a horrible beating he received when he was sixteen and his arms contain similar ones. One of his fingers is missing and the tip of one ear is lost as well. His body is perfectly made for shooting far away foes and decapitating close range enemies with his sword. He wears a weatherbeaten brown cloke with a white tunic and dark pants.

Dreams for the Future: - To find his parents and his old friend Sinthar and to find and slay the demon lord.

Reason for Dreams: - He wants to ensure his family a life of peace and safety, and he wants to repay Sinthar for his kindness to him. He wants to end Alagaisias age of darkness.
