It'll take place in the East, partially with the Tribe. Anyone who wishes may join lol. IC: The wind blew in heavy, dry gusts around the bluffs and hills to the southeast of the Eldor Lake, stirring the dry grasses and tossing dust into the air. Temias stood atop the highest rise in the land, a large bluff facing to the east. The sun was setting behind him, casting the land into crimson light. It had been a few months now, since he had left his home and his family behind, and set off into the land of Alagaesia. For those months, he had met new friends and enemies, and faced new dangers. However, something was telling him that he needed to go back home. Danger was stirring in the East, a new danger unlike anything seen before. The blue-black dragon wasn’t sure how he knew this, but he did. Temias blinked, gazing around him. His wings were half-lifted from his back, the strong winds lifting and rustling the pliant flight membranes. He gripped the soft soil beneath his claws, digging small furrows in anxiety. He knew he would be devastated if the Tribe was in grave danger again. Many members had been lost in recent years due to the rise of dangerous, dark magic and deadly enemies. He didn’t know why so many dangers seemed to target the Tribe recently, but he did know that he would do whatever it took to defend it. It seemed that there was a new danger rising. Temias glanced behind him to the sinking sun, waiting for it to disappear completely before he traveled. He preferred traveling at night, especially across the open expanses between Alagaesia and the lands of the Tribe. His midnight-blue scales would blend better at that time as well, although his piercing silver eyes and Kallek Marks would stand out. I think this can be after the Allatik War. Rambles to himself IC: Natsu's stomach growled hungrily as he waited for Erza. The gray dragoness had gone off hunting for one of the first times since she had been captured, so he didn't wish to disturb her. However, with the scarce amount of edible plants around in this time of season, he would usually cook and eat a bit of Erza's food. The sun was setting quickly, and she had yet to return. Her mind was closed to everyone around, as well. Natsu hugged his knees as a long gale of wind came, chilling the very marrow of his bones. His gaze was caught to the familiar sparkle resembling diamonds. The very dim light the setting sun had created was enough to bounce off the scales of a dragon that - otherwise - would have blended in with the upcoming lightless night. Natsu immediately thought of Erza, but this dragon's scales were. . .black? No, that wasn't right; it was a lighter black, similar to a midnight blue. Now knowing that it couldn't be Shruikan, he stepped up and walked towards the dragon, examining its posture. The dragon's gaze was fickle, shifting every couple of seconds. I think I shall join with Apollo. I haven't rped with him all that much... IC: Apollo flapped his wings twice to gain air lift over a couple of bluffs before he looked around to gain his bearings. He had been in his home, the Beor Mountains for far too long and wanted to find places to explore. Being 300 years old allowed him to see many things in his lifetime, but Apollo wanted to learn more things than what simply was around his home. He then ventured out to discover things farther off the Alagaesian map. He found himself near a lake of sorts, where there was a dragon and a human speaking to one another. Hello down there, he said as he flew above. May I join you? I didn't mean to interrupt anything. I assure you I don't bite, he added with a chuckle. Apollo was laid-back and didn't mind making new friends. In fact this would be a new experience. He had not interacted with humans much and wanted to interact with him. I've been flying for almost a day and a half. A two-leg was approaching him from below, his countenance friendly. He blinked as the two-leg spoke. There is. I can sense a great danger building in the East, where I am from, he answered, turning to face the newcomer. You are a dragon rider, aren't you. I can smell your dragon on you. My name is Temias, he added, analyzing the scent of the older female dragon. Before he could continue, a new scent became apparent. This one was more musky than a dragon's, birdlike and mammalian at the same time. Temias looked up and saw a strange creature flying toward them. The creature's voice when he spoke was friendly. I see no problem with that. My name is Temias. Welcome, he called back with a smile. He was put more at ease by this creature. Temias was uncertain of how to treat two-legs, and their presence made him wary. IC: Natsu gauged the position of the descending sun roughly, and discerned where in fact the East was. He turned to face that general direction and scoured his mind through the area. He wondered where precisely the dragon was from in the East. This was the farthest east Natsu had ever been; he was practically at the eastern border of Alagaesia. Natsu's eyes widened briefly as Temias pointed out that Natsu had a dragon, though he made no effort to hide it. "Indeed I am," Natsu said, flashing his palm to the dragon. It was a wondrous thing: how he was made a Rider. Although Erza was born a wild dragon, she had performed wild magic after he had healed her, and thus the two of them were heavily bonded, even for a dragon and Rider. Natsu sensed another approaching consciousness and turned to face an approaching, winged-being from the sky. "Neither have I, really," Natsu replied to the winged creature. He could sense Erza's approaching consciousness and looked up in the sky. A gray dot, too large to be mistaken for a bird even as high as the being was, was hovering around. It's fine, they're friends. I think Natsu added, and Erza, trusting his judgment, descended to the ground. She dipped her head slightly, folding her wings in in a bow. Pleased to meet you, dragon. And you as well, gryphon Erza greeted. How did you know that he was a gryphon? Natsu asked privately, slightly surprised. You've read about them before in Ellesmera, but you probably forgot. I, being a dragon, do not forget things as easily as two-legs she teased in response. Natsu smirked. He can only pick out the outline if you will and he wouldn't have noted the ears. But, thank you, I had not known that previously and I'll keep that for future reference. IC: Apollo took a dive towards the group, another dragon joining them. The first dragon, the dark indigo, introduced himself as Temias. The elf was Natsu and Erza. He dipped his head to Erza as she addressed him as a gryphon. Indeed I am. Very observant. Though not many of my bretheren are left. I've met only six gryphons, including my own siblings, in my entire life. He lifted his wings as he stretched them out, his pure white feathers gleaming in the sun. My name is Apollo. I'm very pleased to have meet you all. He glanced at each of them, curious now. What brings you all here if I may ask? I only travel, exploring and whatnot. She was older than he, and her scales were a nice gray color, a little like his friend Arkior's. It was so strange, seeing dragons without the striped patterns painted on their scales. However, he knew that only the Tribe engaged in such a ritual (and a few of the Tribe's close outsider friends). His own Kallek Marks stood out clearly on his face, neck, and shoulders, glittering silver in the deep purplish light. When the gryphon asked what brought them here, the deep blue dragon smiled. It seems like you all are here for exploration. I am not, however. My homeland is far to the east, and I am on my way back there now. I can sense some grave danger building... and I must return, he told them. He wasn't sure what made him trust them with that information, but they seemed sincere. So far, his instincts about others had not failed him. IC: At Apollo's question, Natsu nodded absentmindedly. "Yeah, Erza and I are just traveling throughout Alagaesia. We've never been to the eastern border, so we decided that it was an interesting place to see," Natsu explained. At Temias's own explanation of his purpose for being here, Natsu turned his gaze to the midnight blue dragon. "Well, that sounds like it could be dangerous. Do you mind if we tagged along? We had expected to find something on the eastern edge of Alagaesia worth looking at, but we were sorely mistaken," Natsu said, referring to himself and Erza. "But...that sounds like an interesting venture. He replied, If there's anything going on that could involve danger, I would happy to assist any of you. I haven't seen any action in quite a long time and I'm anxious to try out some battle moves that I haven't used in that amount of time. He added, Numbers can indeed help in anyone's time of need especially if it's a formidible foe. She'd been running for about a day and a half now without much rest, to reach the east in time. Her mother, Jia, had sensed something odd from that direction with her Heart Touch. So they both now headed in that direction to see what was causing such a disturbance. The gold-amethyst dragoness flew above her, looking ahead for dangers that she might have missed, but since the Allatik War her powers at sensing things ahead of her had grown quite a bit, mainly from being forced to be around many people and things for long periods of time, without passing out. She shot a glance up to her mother when she felt a few bodies ahead of them, about half a mile out. Mother, do you see anything? I sense several beings up ahead. she announced. Jia snorted. Slow down your pace, little one. I'll go ahead and see who they are. Sarai obediently slowed but not much; she wanted to be able to get there in time in case her mother needed her. - - - - - - - - - - Jia increased her wing beats until the land under her blurred. When she was able to reach out and touch the minds of those below her. She smiled warmly when she recognized at least three of them; Temias, Natsu, and Erza. She folded her wings and dove down, beckoning her daughter forward with a brush of her mind. Why hello there Temias. Remember me? I'm not so small anymore am I? she called to the Tribe dragon, grinning widely. Indeed, during the Allatik War she had grown several feet, now as big as a small house rather than an over-sized horse. Natsu, Erza, I am glad to see you are well. she purred to them warmly. She landed lightly and grinned around; only one face she didn't recognize. She dipped her head to the gryphon, recognizing his physical build. Hello, I'm Johdzsia, please call me Jia. she said with a smile. Sarai cried a welcome and slithered to a halt beside Jia's bulk. And I'm Sarai daughter of Jia, you can all call me Rye if you like. chirped the black-gold. Jia chuckled and shook her head, her teal-green eyes twinkling. Yes, and this is my daughter, Sarai. - - - - - - - - - - Sol flew quietly over the land, searching over it for anything. He had never gone to the east to look for his siblings and thought it long overdue. His ears pricked forward when he caught sight of four dragons, a twoleg, and a eagle-lion creature. He tilted his head curiously at the eagle-lion creature. He'd never seen anything like it. He tensed the muscles in his shoulders, intending to pull in his wings for a long dive, but he hesitated. How many nights was it to the next New Moon? Several, he realized. But it was at least five nights before it was a Full Moon. His scales prickled with anticipation. He slowed his pace, struggling. He didn't like crowds. But his mind drifted back to Phalynx, Yssala, Vedrian, and Brisineo, and he couldn't help the smile that spread across his muzzle. Tentatively he pulled in his wings and alighted silently a few yards from the main group. His deer-like eyes flicked back and forth nervously, lapis lazuli eyes gazing around warily. And you are right, there is really nothing interesting on the border, he told them all, ending in a laugh. Things don't get interesting for a while, I'm afraid. But when they do, you'll certainly be able to tell, he added, thinking of the land they had to cross. The scent of other dragons came to him on the powerful winds, and the midnight blue gazed up in time to see a familiar dragon flying down towards them. He smiled as Jia landed, greeting them all. Of course I remember you, Jia! And you have grown, he began, startled when the smaller dragoness landed on her back and proclaimed herself to be Jia's daughter. You have a daughter? Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Sarai, he said, dipping his head in greeting as he regarded her curiously with his silver eyes. Apparently the dragon-scent was not done increasing yet. A third newcomer approached them cautiously, his scales smooth and containing the silvery color of the moon. Hello, Sol. My name is Temias. Tonight just seems like a good night for meeting new friends, doesn't it? I'm afraid we can't stand around and speak for much longer, though. I grow anxious to leave for the East, he spoke, his voice growing more troubled. It was a little strange, being the center of attention and the one ushering everyone on their way. Usually Temias was content to wait on the edges, in the shadows. He was used to not being seen. He backed a few steps away from the group and rose his wings slightly. We were just about to leave for the East. My dearest apologies; I've been a little busy lately. IC: Natsu briefly glanced as a dragon arrived, with dark scales that slightly resembled Erza's. He nodded towards two new members he recognized: Sarai and Jia. He met the both of them in the Allatik War; fortunately, they had fought on the same side. He had seen evidence firsthand of Jia's ferocity, and Sarai's as well, despite her small size. "It's nice to see you two as well," Natsu said with a small smile. Erza dipped her head in an abrupt bow. It is indeed a pleasure to see you two again she murmured. She then glanced at the newest dragon with the silvery scales. By the way he spoke, Erza figured that his social skills might need a little tuning. Fortunately, it didn't matter either way to her or her Rider - and from what she could tell - anyone else here. Natsu leaped high into the air, his hands up and he grabbed at the stir-ups on Erza's saddle. He then hoisted himself onto the saddle and began to strap himself in, his hands moving with a certain flow that would tell one that he had done this before. It's no trouble at all. He glanced at the two dragons that had approached, a mother and daughter as they introduced themselves. Greetings to you, my name is Apollo. I am a new-comer, everyone here is new to me. But I like to make friends. His molten gold eyes warmed instantly as he laughed aloud at the young dragon's up-beat attitude. It's nice to see such a bond between parent and chick. He turned his attention to the one called Sol as he shyly made his presence known. His scales reminded Apollo that of moonlight, never had he seen scales such as this before. Noting Sol's quizzical look at Apollo, he figured that the dragon had never seen a gryphon. Hello Sol. It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Apollo, I'm a gryphon. What brings you all the way out here? Before he could start, Apollo heard Temias wanting to leave for his homeland immediately. Of course Temias. Let's leave as soon as we can. I shall follow, whenever you're ready. A pleasure to meet you too, Temias. Zeke and Mother have told me much about you. And you too, Apollo. I've seen a gryphon before, but only once. she chirped, her voice warm. She winked an eye at Natsu and Erza. She perked up when Temias explained that he felt something stirring back east. She flared her wings and snorted softly. Not for long there won't be. she said firmly. She jumped down to the ground and jogged toward the east, sniffing at the air. She paused and looked back at the others, her eyes sparkling. Well, come on slowpokes! she challenged, then took off into a fast lope. - - - - - - - - - - Jia smiled up at Temias and chuckled when he saw her daughter. Yes. She's stubborn, ornery, and hot-headed. Much like myself when I was younger. she said with a laugh. She dipped her head to Apollo and smiled at his comment. Oh, we still have our moments, trust me. she said with a light laugh. She blinked with silent gratitude to Erza and Natsu, her teal-green eyes soft. Her eyes narrowed at Temias's mention of trouble in the east. Hmm...trouble is not usually good. she mused, rustling her wings. She snorted at her daughter and shook her head. Sarai prefers to run on the ground because she is blind. She can maneuver better. she said absently, knowing the other dragons would find it odd for a dragon to run instead of fly. She flared her wings and beat them a few times, lifting a few feet into the air. She smiled at Temias. Lead the way. Oh, do you know if Zeke knows of this also? He might have picked it up through his Heart. she said, wondering if they would meet up with her brother at one point or another. Her expression turned worried. He might not be in a condition to fight properly, if that's what was needed. - - - - - - - - - - Sol's ears pricked forward as he was greeted warmly. He dipped his head to Temias, though stayed silent. He looked shyly at the eagle-lion creature, his eyes widening slightly as it spoke to him and introduced itself. I'm over this way from the Beor Mountains. I was hatched there. I'm searching for my older siblings. They were twins, and probably look the same as I do. Oh, except for the streak of silver in my left eye. That's...special to me..I think. he said slowly, not because he was reluctant to speak, really, but because he knew he needed to work on opening open to others. He was worried about his friends and family back home. Knowing something was amiss but not knowing what it was was making him anxious. He took flight, circling once around the others as he waited for them to follow. He nodded to Jia at her response. That is fine. However Sarai feels comfortable. And I do not know if Zeke knows about this. All I know is that I felt something was wrong, so I started heading east. He may show up; I'm not sure, he replied. He frowned as her expression shifted to a more concerned one. Is something wrong, Jia? he asked, wondering what was troubling her. Finally caught a break in terms of my workload. IC: Temias jerked at the news, his silver eyes flashing with pain. It made sense, now. He had awoken suddenly from a restless sleep, overcome with sudden grief. His exhausted state, however, made him only dimly aware that it might be Zeke. He felt selfish now, realizing that he had simply pushed the feeling away in order to continue his slumber. I did feel something... but I did not realize what it was at the time. I am so sorry, Jia. I wish I could give my condolences to Zeke... he must be heartbroken, the dark dragon lamented, his wingbeats taking on a more somber series of movements. He did not know much about bonded dragons, but he knew how much their partners meant to them. They were almost like half of the dragon's soul. He wondered on his friend now, trying to sense him through the Heart that was now in the blue's care.
