The one who can make the air crackle, the one who can fry their foes' insides. Come, for your time draws near. Death you have been plagued by, torture you have survived. Equinox shivered slightly as he flew near the Beor Mountains. Something was calling him, but what he did not know. Each night a voice chanted in his head, calling him, calling him to a strange location in the depths of the Beor Mountain Range. He looked back at the small fire a few yards away. Eris sat near the fire, his arms crossed and staring into the distance. It was Equinox's shift, but the pain-in-the-butt human refused to sleep. He just stared into the distance, still refusing to talk.
Equinox really hoped his friend would recover it was just as lonely with someone who kept to themselves as with no one else with him. He could have asked Aaron, Ephidel, Klentear, Savania, or Tvashtar, but he had chosen not to. He didn't want to bother them with his troubles, and the strange visions. He constantly woke up with nightmares of a great dragon roaring into the sky, lightning bolts flaring around the dragon, bending to its will. He knew that must be the dragon calling him, like him its scales were green, but a more electric tone. He did suppose he could have asked Phal, Elcyon, or some of his other friends, but he chose not to. The only reason he brought Eris was so he wouldn't cause trouble. He would try to start fights with the others, or even more frighteningly try to kill them. Equinox could get into his mind either, Eris shielded his thoughts now.
I really hope he is ok... Equinox said, looking back at his friend. A small tear came into his emerald eyes, he missed the old Eris. The old somewhat immature, but still nice, kind, cheerful foolish old Eris.
Maybe I should have asked someone else to come with me... he said drifting off, his claws digging into the frozen dirt. He shook slightly, and turned back to return to camp. He couldn't just fly off, knowing Eris he would sit there until he starved.
Go to sleep. Equinox commanded grumply.
Eris glared at Equinox and replied nastily, "Oh yes my lord dragon. Whatever you command master." and stormed into nis tent.
Equinox snarled, he had no point in arguing with him, he wouldn't listen, and it would just worsen his mood. Instead, Equinx laid on the ground and stared into the mountains.

...come o great dragon of lightning, you are the last hope of our tribe... bring back the glory of our kingdom... the voice said, and faded out of his mind.

OOC: I would like to join with Luna, but I will have to do it tomorrow, is that ok?

OOC: So is this directly after Conflicting Storm? Or is it at the current time?

OOC: Okay, just making sure. Since this is like right after CS ended, that adds some stuff, such as her kids not being hatched yet.

IC: Phalynx stood volant upon the top of the peak, snow whipping around her outstretched wings. Her eyes were closed as she simply let the wind sing across the membrane of her fifth and sixth limbs. She could sense so many tiny details of the wind and air, so many disturbances that could mean any kind of thing. Learning to read the currents of air was a subconscious thing, but learning to read them more efficiently and with more certainty was not. Doing this also helped Phal think.

So many things had happened recently. The eggs of her children still lay safe in Unity, but the world of Alagaesia was in a different kind of turmoil. The battle with Crimson had proven that much. Phalynx had left the site of the massive fight with heavy feelings and thoughts, but it was not yet over. That much she could sense. Something was telling her that she would have to find Elcyon and Equinox again, and soon. Her bright green eyes snapped open, the golden stripe in her right one glowing as she examined the mountains. To a normal dragon, the thick snow would be blinding; but to her, it merely made things a little fuzzy. Her wings lowered slightly into a half-raised position, and she leaned forward to search the valleys far below.

OOC: Oh, I'm soo joining this rp...

Elcyon was in the Beor Mountains, her journal clutched to her side, as she protected her face against the bitterness of the wind. She didn't know what she was doing there in the first place, but she trusted her exploration instinct, and it told her to come here to the Beor Mountains. It had been only a short while since the battle, and things were in a twisting turmoil for her. People were gone from her life when she had just gotten to know them, and Equinox...what was to happen to them? She didn't know where he went, he had gone...but...

She shook her head, smiling to herself. There was no point worrying about something like this. Her heart was just starting to heal, and drama was only going to tear the wounds right open. El felt tears drift down her face as she placed her head on her claws when suddenly, she heard something of a snarl in the far distance. It sounded similar to Equinox's.

Would he want to see her? Only one way to find out. El lifted her wings and flew up from the ground, tears frozen to her side, towards Equinox...she wondered how he was doing after the war.

Equinox sniffed the air, he could smell dragon, maybe more than one coming. Curious, he looked around; he hadn't expected to see anyone else hear this close to the base of the mountains. His gaze went towards the tent, to see if Eris should be warned. He chose not to, Eris wouldn't like being interrupted, besides, he probably wouldn't even care who came. Equinox stared up into the sky and readied to attack if it was an enemy, but spotted a black spot growing larger and nearer to him. Elcyon?! he said, surprised. He had not expected her to come, after that battle with Crimson. He did stay in the base awhitle to mourn all those lost. He could still not believe it. One of his best friends... gone... Still, it higher his mood to see Elcyon flying towards him.
He flew up to greet her, happy she was here, a smile formed on his face as he greeted her Elcyon, I'm so happy to see you. he said to her What are you doing out here though?

Eris sat up in his tent, staring at the tent wall. He should go back out, to try and make up with Equinox, but he could not. That fool dragon did not know what was going through his mind. Though he let no one in after the battle, it didn't matter; they should all mind their out business. Angrily, he stabbed his tent with his sword, and had to mend the fabric with magic.
Stupid dragons. he cursed Crimson in his head and lied down. He wasn't tired, just... worn out from the day. He had no idea why Equinox was coming out here. Not that he cared, he just came as asked. True Equinox did try to tell him where he was going, but Eris would not listen.
Crimson... you will pay for what you took from me. he said to himself.

OOC: I changed my mind, gonna join with Leonitus and Syrca.

Leonitus silently walked through the harsh cold of a winter night in the Beor Mountains. He had a mission to do, but he had absolutely no was of knowing where Farthen dur was, especially in this much snow and ice. He scared down at the intelligent little hatchling that he was shelterig with his shirt. Syrca... thought the man as he continued to walk. His normally bare torso, arms and upper body were now covered in lyers of animal hide, mainly bear, but also some wolf, as well as fox, and inside of the furs lay a small dragoness, who was tightly covered in the furs, and held in the strong arms of a man of the North. He continued to walk until he saw a small tent in the distance through the falling snow. He said to Syrca, Wake up, hey ... WAKE UP! There is a tent up ahead, want to try to stay there tonight, and then tomorrow get a move on back toward Farthen Dur?

Syrca stirred slightly when Leonitus woke her up and said, Sure, but if they refuse to let us in, don't try to fight them, I am tired and don't want to have to try to calm you down after the fight, even if you never lose. said the small dragoness as she opened her blue, but turning violet eyes and yawned loudly.

Leonitus laughed at his dragon and walked to the tent. He said, "Hello in there! Hello!! Can we come in, it is cold out here!" yelled the man as he sat Syrca, as well as the huge bundle of furs down and heftd his battleaxe and shield, just in case they were not friendly.

OOC: I'm coming too, but with my new character.

The mountains were large, they were larger than large. They were absolutely massive! The figure that stood at the bottom of one of the mountains drew his cloak around himself closer, feeling a particular wind. Kharsin called it the winds of fate and he hated every time it blew. His faith had been tested again and again every time that wind blew. He took in a breath of the air, feeling the coldness in his nose, and a scent. Immediately Kharsin drew the Shadow Power, the scent being one that he had not smelt for an extremely long time. So familiar, yet so alien.
Dragon. He thought upon the smell, breathing it in again and again. More than one. May this not be a sign from Shruiks. He prayed fervently. The winds of fate mixed with the scent of dragons, it was definitely not a good sign.
Snow. The thought bubbled to his mind as he sniffed the air. If this is what I am to be called to, I cannot refuse. Kharsin moved quickly, holding the cloak around him tightly. He held tightly onto the power of the Shadow Realm, the constant struggle against the mind-consuming effects of the realm a fire in his mind that threatened to sweep him away. He didn't care that others might sense his ability, he would not be stopped in his mission. As he walked, the scent of Dragons suddenly intensified and he could also smell a human as well, two of them. He looked to the sky, eyes sweeping the skies for the tell-tale sign of shadow. Instead, he saw the shadow of a dragon.

Equinox looked at her, and gave her a hug back, he watched her to make sure everything was ok. That's fine Elcyon, don't worry about it. he replied to her. He looked towards the direction she was looking at I think there are others here too. As for why I'm here... I don't know. Something... something seems to have been calling me. It's so odd, I don't know what it is though. He lowered his head slightly embarrassed, she probably thought he was just hearing voices As for who else is here, only Eris. I had to bring him along he's been a lot different since... the battle. he said, a tear rolling out of his eye. She shook his head and flew back to the ground, waiting for her.
Everything's so different with him. He's changed he more violent, moody, and... his words cut out and he stared up wards Others are here dragons, a human and... something else. he said with a growl. It was them he noticed a young dragoness. Who are you? he asked. He finally noticed the human, but shook his head and said I wouldn't go in there. Eris isn't in the best of moods.
Equinox searched the sky, he felt something else, he wasn't sure what it was though. Who else is out there? he said.



Eris gripped his sword as he heard someone shot, asking to come in. He grunted, and said roughly, "Who do you think you are to tress pass." he snapped through the tent, "Go away, did Equinox call for you? He thinks I can't handle myself. Well I can, get away from here before I decide I need to make you leave myself!" Eris shouted. He shook his head, Why me... he said to himself. He opened the tent flap and glared at the man, his dragon, and over to Equinox and... Elcyon?! What was she doing here?
"Equinox! Why don't you warn me before we are interrupted." he demanded rudely.
Equinox whipped his head around and replied sadly to the human and dragon Please forgive him. He isn't normally like this. He hasn't been the same for a bit now. Equinox said apologetically.

Eris glared at the man. He hated him. Not that he had any reason to, he just did. He also hated himself. He couldn't even control his own thoughts it seemed like. Glaring at the man he retorted, "I just want to be by myself! Is it my fault Equinox dragged me here!" he reached for his sword, but Equinox intervened stepping in front of the tent. He glared at Eris and looked back at the other two.

I'm sorry for my friends actions you two. He's not normally like this. But... after a battle something happened to him. He hasn't been the same. I think he's afraid of himself or something. He wasn't like this before. Equinox said with sadness in his eyes. He hated bringing up the battle, Any way. My name's Equinox. Why are you two here? Equinox asked, trying to get a more pleasant subject with the two. He stared into the distance as the wind's direction changed. A strange smell drifted into his nose. He whipped around, he could somewhat tell the smell. He remembered it before when he first met Eris. Draconian! he shouted to himself, and whipped his heard around to where the creature approached from.
Equinox looked at Elcyon and smiled You're right. I just wish I knew what it meant. he stared into the mountains. Something was calling him from up there. Why is the depths of the Beor Mountains.

OOC: Um...yeah...I think I'd better go now...lol

El had been so wrapped up in the mixed emotions she had been feeling that she had no idea that what was flying near was something called a Draconian, something she had never seen before, or known about. Eager to learn, she watched and absorbed the conversation, waiting for her turn to speak out so as not to disrupt anything.

OOC: Eh, sorry, that's all I have at the moment...

Eris glared at two and equally at Equinox, but to the human, "Why don't you lose you're dragon! See how that bloody feels! Now quite annoying me, you too Equinox." Eris snapped and looked away from them.
Equinox shook his head and said to them, I'm sorry about that, please forgive him. His mind... it changed greatly since Quasar was killed. She tried to protect him, but it seemed to do the human no good. His mind had been nearly destroyed by her death. He gave a mournful look at Eris than looked towards the other newcomer.

Mourning Eris and Quasar, Equinox looked at the Draconian. He never saw one before, but Eris had. At least that's what Eris said. He believed him, but Eris didn't speak much of it.
I am Equinox, nice to meet you. he said to Kharsin. It was interesting meeting a Draconian, seeing how he himself had never seen one before, What does bring you here? It seems so many are going to the mountain for one reason or another.

Equinox looked cautiously back at Eris as he begun to make a retort to Leonitus but Equinox was thankful for once Eris didn't make a comment. He just folded his arms and glared at both of them. Sighing he replied to Phal, He's doing bad. Ever since Quasar was killed he's minds been ruined. He isn't who he once was. he snaps at everyone and is reclusive, always staying to himself. He doesn't like to get out and has threatened several people many times, even myself He himself wondered what Shruik was but he paid more mind on Eris than as questions. Maybe I shouldn't have forced him to come. he said to Phal and Elcyon. He glanced back up towards the mountains. Once again the voice was in his head telling him to climb them and to go up them. I will, I be up there soon. He wasn't sure what concerned him more. That he had talked with a voice in his head or that it sounded glad when he said he would start the journey soon. He looked around slightly embarrassed that he communicated with the voice in his head.

Leonitus looked at all of the assembled, people, dragons, and the draconian and said, "I am called Leonitus, first rider of the north tribes. My dragon's name is Syrca, the sister of Aelir and of Eroth. Princess of an island far to the West." said the northman defensively to the other creatures.

Syrca stared at the silver dragoness and looked deep into the dragoness' green eyes. She was not about to speak, but she did brush her consciousness against the silver dragon's.

Kharsin bowed his head in turn to each dragon and Rider. "My name is Kharsin. I'm a priest from across the ocean to the west."

The west you say? What lands lay out there? he asked. Kharsin. Since they had already begun to speak he deicded it would be best to start the journey. Besdies, while they were talking Eris already packed everything. Honestly Equinox had know idea why, but he suppoed it didn't matter. Equinox nodded to Phal, Let's start flying north. I'll explain on the flight. As Eris jumped on him with the packed tent Equinox rose into the air and told them, As you Phal and Elcyon and Eris know I am part lighting dragon. I thought nothing of it until Elcyon and I saw several cave drawings with lighting dragons and I started having visions just days ago. Some were pleasant. It was before the elves arrived, maybe even before your brother was born, but dragons lived in harmony. Lighting dragons were the dominant ones, we ruled a mighty empire that control the Beor mountains, the lands to the south of them, the southern part of the Hadarac desert, and a portion of the eastern lands. Anyway, From what my visions say the empire fell apart from a great civil war. I don't much of it but the fighting dissolved the empire and lighting dragons scattered. Many died off. From what the vision said I'm the heir of the lighting throne. I'm not sure what it means, but the strange voice keeps telling me to head into the mountains. To Elycon he said, Thank you, I will try and help Eris also. He is a great friend, and it pains me to see him like this. A few tears fell from his eyes. He missed Quasar dearly, and of the sacrifice she made to save him.

Eris grunted and folded his arms as Elcyon and Phal spoke. "Thanks," he replied moodily and stared off into the distant mountains.

OOC: Since Leo hasn't been on in quiet some time Dark, would you say it'd be alright if I went next?

Equinox glanced behind him to make sure his companions were doing fine. He heard Eris grumble above him, but chose best to ignore it. They really did have to find something to help him, but what he didn't have a clue. Equinox sighed and continued their flight. I hope something is left of it, it should be though, things preserve well up in the mountains. So much he didn't know, and yet so much he needed to know, but now it didn't matter until they reached their destination.
Equinox smiled at Elcyon and coninued on.
