 Significance of the word 'Brisingr' When Paolini released that the title of the third book will be Brisingr, he also said that Eragon could never have guessed the importance that the word would have.
Paolini also said that Eragons true name would be revealed. I wonder if his true name could be as simple as Brisngr.
Any of your own theories? Also I am sorry if there is already a topic like this.

Re: Significance of the word 'Brisingr' i wouldn't think that Brisingr is his true name-thats been discussed before-cuz like other people said, i'd think it be a bit too short, and not exactly suprising. as for my theory about brisingr...i dont know maybe its got something to do w/ how he used magic. i mean the first word he ever used was brisingr and it did exactly what he wanted. Brom said that not many riders could do that when they were just novices. but maybe its juse me.

Re: Significance of the word 'Brisingr' i think that it will hav something to do with his tr name just not all of it or else wen ever a person said brisingr he would hav to do something. it also nite hav something to do with the fact that he only had to say the word for fire to do wat he wanted. thats a good idea 2!

Re: Significance of the word 'Brisingr' Of course is the ancient language. Eragon Brisingr, Morzan Brisingr, Murtagh Brisingr or... Eragon Brisingr, the Shadeslayer. The three Brisingr trio. Who knows? I think it is very likely. After all, there are only two characters that we know of their last names, Jeod Longshanks, Arya drottning/drottningu.

Re: Significance of the word 'Brisingr' Brisingr means fire, so I think a main and important character will die in a fire-possibly Gladr, because he's on the front cover-and that's probly why it was called Brisingr, along with sevral other reasons.
