hey does anyone know if there is gunna be an eldest movie? i think it depends on the how the movie does at the box office but if anyone knows something i dont?? anywho, i also thinks that eldest [if they make it] must be purdy longggg...0.o

I've watch Eragon and to be honest, the way they presented Eragon.. I dont think there will be Eldest the movie cause the important characters in the Eldest is not represented in Eragon? I really wonder how they want to continue the movie like that.

Eldest will be better, because they will have a new director and etc. They make things work, don't you worry.

it probably will happen as at the trailers it talks about the inheritence trilogy so they will probably make all three.

I hope Eldest (if they still have fanancial backing to produce it) is longer than 1 hour 30 minutes.

2 hours 15 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes should be the absolute minimum.

A longer flim = more scenes and more detail within them = a better film that could probably stay a little closer to the book ... which at the end of the day, is what made the fans so loyal in the first place.

If they can also get a director who loves the book storyline, maybe we can save the Inheritance image after all.

Most people who read the book will go to see the film. If the critics like it (which they don’t, because they feel it’s a rip off of LOTR and other Dragon stories, plus it’s badly put together) others, who haven’t read the book may go to see what all the hype is about. If these newbie’s like the film, some may continue with the books.

Most people who read the book, and enjoyed the film, would probably buy the DVD.

I saw the film = $$$’s
I will not purchase the DVD, because I couldn’t bare to watch it again (unless the extra scenes made it worth while, which I doubt).
I don’t know if the games better follow the book, but that’s not really my thing anyway.

Killer question #1 … did the film producers save more money by producing a shorter, less detailed film, than the possible reduction in revenues because people like me don’t buy the DVD, and because not so many newbie’s are introduced to the wonder of Eragon?

Killer question #2 … would it matter what the film was like, or would the critics have disliked Eragon’s adventures regardless?

sorry im npt answering your questions. but im in a rush and didnt really read it all. i didnt see the movie yet. did arya really leave/dissapear??? im going to see the movie in like 5 days.so ill be REALLY mad if they messed it up!!!!!!

Arya leaves (without Eragon) at the end of the film, and heads back to Ellesméra.

Obviously Eragon will head to Ellesméra in the early part of the Eldest film to find Arya. Shame the Eragon film didn't show Brom giving Eragon his special Elves ring ... that may have helped to protect him from the Elves that don't know him.

okay..i have offiacialy seen the movie. i hate it. i hate it. i hate it. they skipped liek a million towns/cities. arya does leave. ajhiad doesnt die. theres no orik [but i suspect its the one with the blonde beard] no evile twins. horst is all wrong. his kids dont get taken away to join the army in the book. soldeirs are not already stationed in Carvahall. i could think of tons more reasons but im not gunna. i sooo hope thyis new director will be better with the trilogy.. but are there gunna be the same actors???

i agree with you osilon i hope the second movie is better than the first. They'll have to keep the same actors to keep people that like the movie happy.

maybe the reason why arya left was to maybe go to elsmera and return and go back with eragon. the movie was good but they missed alot of stuff like isidar mithrim, the twins (i think coz i didn't see them) and the new director will have to introduce the people who were ment to be in eragon in the next movie.so it's really annoying

eldest movie is gonna be better than eragon cus (sorry if im spoiling this for people who havent read eldest) it shows togira ikonolka and his dragon glaedr, the war between the empire and the varden, princess arya, murtagh and his dragon thorn and roran showing up to join the varden

i just got some more information from wikipedia, although it says not absolutely certain, it says that eldest the movie will come out spring 2009, the reason for taking so long is that the actress who plays ayra is playing a charactor in the movie inkheart. It also said that CP liked Eragon the movie and that help decide to make a second...

I think the changes between the book and movie was a good thing.

Eragon managed to save Arya from Gilead before Brom died, and he meet Murtugh, leaving him no choice but to trust Murtugh to get him to the Varden.

wiki had a quote from a site which i check and it was really there that the people in it garentee an eldest movie.... they say thay have a movie poster...
