Name: Emeleneya, sometimes called Ella by a select few

Age: 14

Skills: In human form, Emeleneya’s odd appearance makes her easily noticeable, but in cat form, she’s very small and can go so completely unnoticed that she almost seems invisible. But she can’t go invisible, she just finds a good place to hide, or blends in with her surroundings. Some magic is probably involved in her camouflage talent, but she isn’t sure. Only the very sharpest of eyes can find her if she’s in cat form and trying not to be seen. She’s also a good fighter. In human form, she has excellent aim with a bow, and can easily hit a moving target a hundred yards away. She can also shoot very fast, up to an arrow a second. She’s also good with a sword, but not nearly as good as she is with a bow. In cat form, her size obviously put her at a disadvantage, but she’s good at using what power she has, and her camouflage ability can hide her, so that for a few moments, her enemies won’t be able to find her. She can't use magic, but she can speak with and defend her mind.

Character personality: Emeleneya is a fierce, intimidating person. She’s often rather high-and-mighty over people she doesn’t like. She will not help anyone unless she wants to, and if helping them proves to be too dangerous, she will generally leave them if she can do so without appearing to be afraid. She will never let someone push her around. If someone tells her to do something she doesn’t want to do, she’ll just flat-out say no. She will absolutely refuse to be contrary. She never loses her temper. If someone tries to goad her, she’ll just keep her cool and talk them down. She hates being talked down, it makes her furious. She tries never to show her emotions, she thinks it’s weak, she doesn’t like having people think they’ve affected her. She’s actually nice, though, if you can crack her ice, but it’s difficult to get to her. She’s always very sarcastic, but never condescending. She feels like that’s beneath her. She will never insult people in any way, she doesn’t like having people know how she feels about them. She will never shy away from a fight or let people think she’s afraid. If someone challenges her, she will immediately accept, without thinking twice about it. If she really likes and trusts someone, to them she is kind, will help them whenever they need it, and is steadfastly loyal.

Character history: Emeleneya was born in a very isolated part of the spine, the youngest of three girls and one boy. Her older siblings were always picking on her, which made her fierce and defiant, and her parents didn’t like her much either, because she was the runt of the family. She and her family lived in a cluster of trees in the forest. Their parents taught her how to survive and how to fight, usually in cat form, but they sometimes used their human forms during fighting practice to learn how to use bow and arrow. Emeleneya didn’t do very well when her parents tried to teach her the history of werecats, and all of Alagaesia, but she excelled in fighting. When she was five years old, she started to go missing a lot. None of them could figure out what was happening, except that she kept disappearing. Eventually, they figured out her camouflage talent. When she was thirteen, Emeleneya met a human girl. She was in her human form, practicing her fighting skills by herself, when she saw the girl. Emeleneya was standing in a clearing, shooting a tree a ways away. After a couple of minutes, she ran out of arrows and dashed over to the tree. She put the arrows back in her quiver and then ran back to the clearing-And stopped short when she saw a human girl about her age standing there. She turned around and ran-or rather, began to. She stopped when she felt a hand on her shoulder. “Wait.” A gentle voice said. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.” Emelenya froze, then slowly and warily turned around. “Who are you, and what are you doing here?” Asked Emeleneya. They began talking. Emeleneya was wary at first, but slowly she relaxed. The girl told her that her name was Jenna, her parents were traders from Kuasta. They’d been travelling to Feinster when they were attacked by urgals. Her parents had been killed, but she’d managed to escape, and she’d been lost ever since. Emeleneya told Jenna a bit about her life, that she was a werecat. Emeleneya knew she couldn’t take Jenna home, her parents weren’t very well disposed toward humans. The two of them continued their friendship in secret, meeting when no one else was around. About a month later, Emeleneya and Jenna were talking. They parted, and Emeleneya began walking off through the forest. Kelayana ran up and grabbed her arm. “I saw it all.” She hissed. “Meeting with a human in secret! What do you think Mother and Father will think?” Emeleneya just stared at her. She knew what they would think.
Kelayana dragged her to their home, then they shifted into cat form. Kelayana leapt into the trees, with Emeleneya trailing behind. Everyone was there. Kelayana told everyone what had happened. When she was done, there was dead silence. Then everyone was shouting. Eventually, the room calmed down a little. “What were you thinking?” Dernakka asked. “You cannot continue your relationship with this girl.” “Yes, she must go. We must take her somewhere else in the forest, far away. Somewhere she won’t be able to find her way to a city, we can’t have humans finding out we’re here.” Melanie agreed. For a few moments, Emeleneya just stared. Then she said: “No. I won’t do it.” Now everyone else was staring. “WHAT?” Dernakka roared. “Of course you will. You’ll see it in a different light in the morning. Now go to sleep.” Emeleneya glared. Then she lifted her chin and jumped to her branch of the tree. Then he went to sleep. Or rather, she pretended to.
Once everyone was asleep, she got up and went to Jenna’s shelter. “Jenna?” She called. Jenna came out and stood up. “Ella! What are you doing here?” Emeleneya quickly explained everything that had happened. Jenna listened quietly until she was done. Then she spoke. “I’m sorry you’ve gotten into all this trouble because of me. I’ll go, don’t worry.” But Emeleneya shook her head. “No. Don’t worry about that. I’m going to run away. I’ve never been very happy here, anyway. You can come too, if you like.” Jenna smiled and nodded. “Yes, I’m coming.” She quickly ducked back into her shelter and then came out again, carrying a small bag. “After my parents died, I searched our wagon for anything that might be of use. I took some clothes, food, a few other things, and most importantly, some money. It isn’t very useful in the forest, but if we’re leaving, we’ll need it. It’s quite a lot.” Emeleneya grinned. “All right then! Let’s go.”
Emeleneya and Jenna travelled together through the forest, eventually escaping the spine. About six months after they left, they arrived at Teirm, and Jenna decided to settle a few miles away. Emeleneya left, promising to visit often. After that, she traveled alone.

Dislikes: Mean people, her family

Physical appearance: Emeleneya’s eyes are always green, no matter which form she’s in. In human form she is very tall and very slender, with violet-blue hair that’s cut ragged at her chin and an angular, feline, and attractive-if rather odd-face. She wears black pants, shoes and long sleeves shirt, along with a brown cape given to her by Jenna with a hood which she usually keeps up, to hide her odd hair. In cat form, she is a tiny black cat, still as slender as in human form, who normally goes pretty much unnoticed.

Dreams for the Future: For her family to stop hating Jenna.

Reasons for Dreams: Because, although she hates her family, she wants to love them, but Jenna is more important to her than anyone else.

Alignment/Side: Her own. She will help those she likes, no matter whose side they’re on. She’s not evil or malicious.
