A story of mine that I plan to write to completion. It should be... Interesting. Feel free to critique.

Prologue:

The first thing you need to know about me is that my name is Never. I know it's not a normal name, but if you knew me, you'd know that I am not normal either.

I was born into this world with bleached-white skin. Literally pale as a ghost. I wasn't like the people who have gained their souls, the ones with that pink skin - or the people who haven't, who still have the neon skin, the skin of those who have no soul.

I am Never. I am original. I am unique. My skin is part of what defines me. But it is also what brands me as an outcast.

My name is Never, but you see - there is one thing that may never happen to me.
I am Never, and I have no soul. And I may never find one.

I was born in a hospital - Crying and crashing into our world with a blast - the same way I'm going out of it. Live young, die fast, isn't that what they say? I was crying, and my parents were crying - they were afraid. Of themselves, of the gods - of me. I may have been blessed by the gods, but there was also the chance that I was cursed. That I would go down, and bring them down with me.

So far in my life, no curse has been shown - but no blessing either. I am seventeen, and I have still not gained my soul. My song has not been found, but maybe it has not been written yet.

Maybe I don't even have a song - maybe I am not meant to have a soul. Either way, my story begins here-

My seventeenth birthday, the day I decided that the music just didn't matter anymore.

Haha. I remember reading this on Be Creative! You've grabbed my attention all right. It seems in some ways to be a little angsty, but not in a seriously bad way. I can't wait to read some more now
