Re: Emo
Thank you Gemo n_n
Well, when most people think emo they think cutting and things, which is not true all the time.
Also, apparently it's coming in! The pale look, fringe over eyes etc. is taking over the "tan" look. This is thanks to Twilight *rubs bridge of nose*
Oh, Mr. Gemo, you're my whole teamo, not so wemo, step up and screamo!!!

Oh, Mr. Gemo, you're my whole teamo, not so wemo, step up and screamo!!! Anytime, Deemo n.n The term originally meant emotional, if I recall correctly. About time, too. Tan is highly overrated. All right, I'll screamo "Ms. Deemo ain't nemo, but seemo like bemo to memo!"

Re: Emo
Deemo, eh?
Yes, but that doesn't mean you cut yourself. You just have things holding you back ... and you don't hair how you want to express yourself for how you feel.
And dangerous .... with all the sun cancers and things ...
LOL memo doesn't rhyme xD
Oh, Mr Gemo ain't no shemo cause he is all pemo and a little dreamo!

Re: Emo
I'm into the whole emo look, especially the skinny jeans...xD I dont really think pale is associated with emo...but okay. There are an incredible amount of emo posers though. Bleh..

Re: Emo
This irritates me a lot. 1) At least in America, "Alternative" style is no longer alternative. I mean its still fine to dress like that but dont think you're proving you are a rebel to anyone anymore by shopping at Hot Topic. Everyone does it. 2) Emo is a personality not a fashion sense. The fashion, is called "Scene". 3) Emo does not always mean a depressed cutter, it means someone who lets their emotions guide them on a large basis. 4) People USED to actually care about emo kids and try to make them happy, but now its okay and its fashionable so no one gives a rats behind anymore. 5) People who are pale are NOT EMO! AHHHH and finally... I hate when people are like "Ooo I wanna go emo! That looks pretty!" Agrabah!!! Emo is not fun! I've been there! It sucks! K. My rant is over. And no silv or anyone who posts here this doesnt make me hate you, just explaining why I hate the word. EMO. Ugh. ::Btw: I will be gone for the next 4 days so if you yell at me on this topic bout how I am wrong I wont be able to yell back for awhile ::

I don't think you're wrong, if fact I think you have it exactly right. Labels dont make the person.

Ugh. ::Btw: I will be gone for the next 4 days so if you yell at me on this topic bout how I am wrong I wont be able to yell back for awhile :: Well, I don't think me and Kotor were really taking this all seriously. And emo can be viewed differently by alot of people, I have plenty of friends who tag themselves as it and whatplenty.
We took this the same as say, gangsta. We could've been talking about hip hop, rapping etc. and there might've been someone who disagreed and said "Gangsta is something totally different from that! It's about respect yada yada" but I hope you see what I'm trying to say.
And no, the pale look isn't all emo. Neither is the coon tailed hair. And NEITHER is Kiki Kannibal. I was listing them there because they are viewed as close neighbours almost. And apparently the vampire thing is bringing in the emo-ish look. So those who express themselves physically as emos (and that's not entirely "scene") are perhaps going to see more of it.
Emo still means emotional. I'm not emo, but I'm not tagging myself either.
PS: If people feel this topic should be taken more seriously, I'm sure we could make an exception (bad spelling day, btw, is that right?)

kotor and Silver .::. you guys are both lame-0. haha jk, I know that was stupid but it's one of those things that you just gotta say out loud.
talking about the fashion, I don't really like it. well, for myself. if I see someone like that then I don't criticize them for it. it's just not my style, lol.

Re: Emo
It's all relative, cliffo. It's all relative... Yeah, we weren't being completely serious. I had known it wasn't just cutting and goth stuff, if not about the 'scene' and the exact definition. One of the fun parts I've learned about growing up is realizing most of the things 'learned' younger were wrong or incomplete. 1. Yeah, that annoys me too. Packaged rebellion for the masses. Like that Che T-shirt all over the place. I bet half the people who wear it don't know anything about him. 4. This will sound awfully cynical, but I'm not convinced anyone ever did give a rats behind, or has in significant numbers. Or in the right way.

Re: Emo
dude... I can't believe you just got me with that... it's just not right, man...
I agree, though, I don't think many people ever really sincerely cared... and if they did, probably didn't want to go out of their way to do anything about it...
the skinny jeans... how skinny? lol

Re: Emo
Lol, emo.
Skinny suburban kids who glamourise depression.
>_>
If you're ACTUALLY depressed, you don't have time to slick down your huge fringe so you can go meet your friends at Hot Topic. You're too busy trying to fade away instead of being a whiny attention seeker.

Not always. SOme of us just like the syle, or its just where we fit. I wore blue skinny jeans to my private school today and you wouldnt believe the judgemental looks you received from everyone. So what if it's emo? It defines me....

Wearing skinny jeans doesn't make you an emo, it's just how you choose to dress. As for the judgemental people, just ignore them. They're meaningless.

Re: Emo
What I never understood was, what about your testicles? (grow up people) I mean, having never gotten a pair of skinnys on, I can't see how you can go though the day like that... (That, and I'm scared that if I flexed my leg they might rip...)
What ever happened to the cargo pants? (perhaps we should have a pants topic made? )

Have you ever tried pointing your foot? Or getting the jeans with zips at the bottom?
God, if your body is out of proportion that bad you must look like Sideshow Bob with flat hair.

Re: Emo
Shintaro- your right. Skinny jeans dont make you emo lol. Im in love with them though, but not all "emos" are. I don't really even get what "emo" means, other than emotional and if thats the case, aren't we all? I ignored those you judged me based on what color of pants i was wearing. I mean come on...they're just pants. (=

I've worn skinny jeans... I have some too, lol. they're pretty cool. I've just never done the hair or anything else emo, lol. I tried the hair thing the other day, it wasn't that bad...
but I can't do it any more, my mom made me cut my hair, so it's short right now... it'll have to be for another time.
you know what's really cool? these skinny adidas soccer sweats that I have. they are extremely comfortable and badass. I love them. lol.
