Aylina
Name: Aylina (eye-lean-uh)
Age: 39
Gender: Female
Skills:
Ayleid's Language: Their language is much, much stronger than the Ancient Language, and being fully Ayleid, it isn't physically taxing on Aylina. She is pretty skilled with the Ayleid's Language as well as the Ancient Language.
Ice: Aylina has had a fascination with ice as long as she can remember, and is very skilled with it, even able to condense the air she breathes to the point to where it can freeze inanimate objects, and cause bad freezer burns on people. She can condense the air anywhere around her within a thirty food radius as well, performing the same effects as the ice she exhales. Inanimate objects that she freezes are also able to be broken much easier.
Shockwaves: An unusual ability, even for an Ayleid. When she hits something or something, she can exert a form of wave that she classifies as a shockwave, which can throw inanimate objects back, and can stun a person. It uses energy to produce a shockwave, however, but not that much. When she combines her control with energy and her skill with shockwaves, she can exert shockwaves over longer distances, able to send them as far as sixty feet on either side of her. They can both stun and throw people back as well as objects, but uses more energy than a shockwave she exerts from a hit. However, she can only exert them over long distances through concentration, and she isn't able to do it under pressure yet.
Martial Arts: She has hardly any skill with swordsmanship, only using a shortsword to block and parry attacks, but she excels in martial arts. Swordsmanship never really liked her, so she never really liked it, but she was always naturally good with martial arts, but she has gotten better through training. Combined with her shockwaves ability, she is a very fearsome close-combat fighter. Because of her lack of offensive skill in swordsmanship, she knows how to fight against several different weapons.
Race: Pure Ayleid.
Hair: She has brown, straight hair that falls midway down her back.
Eyes: Her eyes are white, and she dislikes the color, despite it being a symbol that she's an Ayleid, but she has tried to change it, but she never can. (Because her eye color is inherited from her parents, and she cannot change it, not because she doesn't know how)
Home Village: The small village of Deria, in the large land of Cerudin, but she considers Nadindel her home.
Parents: Her father's name was Firulor, and her mother's name was Nermona. Her mother died directly after giving birth, and her father died in depression shortly afterwords.
Siblings: None.
Personality: Ignorant and living in a false bliss, not paying much attention to the world outside of Nadindel, she has no idea of the previous war between the Ayleid and Nylid because she had left Cerudin at age fifteen. She doesn't know that the Ayleid had been nearly wiped out four years later. She cares deeply for the friends she has in Ellesmera and for Olivia(further down). She thinks she has moved from a cold life in Cerudin to a peaceful life, full of prosperity in Du Weldenvarden. Some say that she is spoiled, and others say that she deserves a life of peace because of her past. Her attitude is somewhat rebellious, and if she wishes to do something, she will do it, no matter what those older than her say, but this isn't saying that she has a bad heart. She is pretty independent as well, and sometimes dislikes it when others help her. However, when she needs or wants help, she will gladly accept it. Someday, she wishes to return to her homeland, but only for a visit. She has come to love her life in Alagaesia, and she doesn't think that Cerudin has anything better to offer her, not with her parent's dead anyway. She deeply trusts Olivia to the point that she would sacrifice her own life for Olivia.
History: Like mentioned above, her mother died directly after she gave birth to Aylina, and her father died shortly after through depression. She had been taken to an orphanage, and when she had learned of her own, indirect involvement in her parent's deaths, it nearly broke her on the inside. She stayed at the orphanage, but they could do nothing to mend her nearly broken heart, and at age fourteen, she had started planning to leave Cerudin. She wasn't just saying this either, which was shown when at age fifteen, she got a ship and sailed to Alagaesia. Hardly anyone knew of her disappearance, and they had all been murdered during the war. Once she arrived at Ellesmera, her life wasn't much better. She had been living on the streets near Teirm, and had had almost been missing her hard, bunk bed that was now either empty, or being inhabited by a different person in her orphanage. However, then she heard tale of Du Weldenvarden, and one Elf had offered to take her there upon hearing her sad tale.
She immediately started seeing the brighter side in life when she arrived at Ceunon. The Elves there had been friendly, and the respected her past to the point of not asking about it at all after they were told once that she would only repeat it in time. Her sadness from her parent's death had started mending during her time in Ceunon, and she was soon living a happy bliss. The guilt of her indirect involvement in her parent's deaths will never be gone, but it will always be diminished. At age nineteen, a large, white wolf with black spots had approached Aylina when she sat in the peaceful forest, pondering her time in Ellesmera. She was surprised to learn that the wolf, who she had also learned was a female, could contact mentally, and had a powerful mind. She befriended the wolf quickly, and she came back to Ellesmera with the wolf, who she had named Olivia.
Not one whisper of another Ayleid in Alagaesia or the war of Cerudin had reached Ceunon, even though the latter wasn't known by most, if not all Alagaesian citizens anyway. She visits the training fields and trains for a couple of hours two or three times a week, and reads when she can. She currently lives in an average-sized house sung to her by the kind Elf who had brought her to Nadindel, whose name was Matthew. He was like a father to her, and had looked out for her. Now, she is planning on traveling outside of Ceunon with Olivia for a while, maybe a year, before returning back to Ceunon. She just wants to see what the outside world is like, and if it has changed at all.
Weapons: She carries two daggers and a shortsword. They are mostly used for simple parrying and blocking. All three weapons were smithed in Ellesmera, and although they aren't made of Brightsteel, they are very enduring, powerful, and flexible, though those fascinating perks don't do much for someone who isn't very skilled in swordsmanship.
Likes: Ceunon, Olivia, her friends.
Dislikes: Her past, swordsmanship.
Weaknesses/Fears: She does have a fear of returning to Cerudin, especially after all of this time. She doesn't know why, but she has a bad feeling in her stomach whenever she thinks about returning to Cerudin temporarily.
Animal Companions: Olivia is a white animal that resembles the physical traits of a wolf, but is larger than a horse. She has black spots around her and dark blue eyes. She is kind and caring, but she will defend Aylina with her own life, and is ferocious in battle, especially with her powerful mind and quick speed.
Physical Description: She has straight, brown hair that falls midway down her back along with the inherited white eyes of an Ayleid. She has a slim, hourglass figure, and is quite beautiful. She commonly wears a dark blue cloak with a plain, white shirt underneath. She has some freckles across her nose, and usually walks around barefoot. Her shortsword is sheathed under the cloak. Her two daggers are in a pouch with various other items hung at her left hip. She stands at around 5'7", and has a thin, powerful figure, partly because she constantly works on her speed and agility to improve her martial arts.
Dreams: She wishes to visit her homeland guilt-free, and someday find a mate.
Reasons for Dreams: She sometimes wishes that she was living with other Ayleid as well as Elves, and she hasn't visited her homeland in a while.
Alignment: She sides with the Varden.
