thats were it breaks down a bit if arya has had it hatch for her already then why would she go through the pain of traveling without it so much rember eragon and saphira after the dwarves decide who would be king

if the egg had already hatched for arya, she would have been training with oromis and eragon already, and the dragon would have alreay grown to a large enough size to go into battle, so if that was plausible, then she would have helped eragon against murtagh, therefore defeating him.

But Galby might not want to show off "Greenie" yet. He might wait until the Varden make it to Uru'baen and bring Greenie out then. If Murtagh and Thorn are already dead, it will bring an end to the race of dragons because Saphira won't want to mate with a traitor. Shruikan, Saphira might mate with but I highly doubt. Unless the egg is already hatched as you said already sj, there is no reason to suspect that it is hatched. And technically, Galbatorix didn't show off Thorn or Murtagh right from the beginning, he trained them in the elements of dark magic B4 he released them unto the Varden.

He showed Murtagh and Thorn off after they were atrong enough to defeat Eragon. That is what he'll do with Greenie if greenie hatches B4 Eragon and Saphira can rescue him/her.

it might hatch about mid-way after Eragon kills Galby, then Saphira and greenie mate then the dragons will be brought back then it will tell of the rise of the NEW Riders! That's what I think.

A female elf. Everyone leaves out the elves. It could be another elf. If Eragon rescues the egg, the Varden may start ferrying it again, like what they did with Saphira's egg. I think it will hatch for an elf but maybe not Arya. Arya is already old, like 100+, and most of the Riders B4 were chosen young.

But what other elf would be chosen?

In that case, the elf childrean would be the only choice considering how most of the other elves are older than Arya.

Bladesinger? I am starting to change my mind. The elf children, Arya,or Roran. I think Roran is the most likely. So far in Eragon's family, Brom, and himself have been Riders. Morzan might count if you go that far out of the family tree, and Murtagh. That would make 4 people in Eragon's family that were Riders. Wouldn't it make sense that Roran would be a Rider?

I agree, partially. Arya, Roran, or one of the elf children. I personally think tjhe elf children. They are younger, unlike Arya or Roran, and are more eligible. But Roran is in Eragon's family. Brom was a Rider, as well as Eragon, Murtagh, and Morzan if you count the last 2 through Selena, who could practice magic. Arya because she is already strong enough to go into battle against another Rider, such as Murtagh or Galby.

Well if the elf children are eligible then that definitely makes bladesinger eligible.

not really, bladesinger knows nothing of magic, obviously she knows its real but thats it, eragon would have sensed it if she was a magician, but the elf children know magic and are more powerful than all of the other elves.
