OOC: i just watched the episode of Stargate Atlantis where the city rises up from the ocean, and well, it inspired this scene. I hope i do it okay. Anyone can join, but STAY ACTIVE!!!!!!

IC: Are you all ready there? Dragonfly was hovering about 100 feet above the ocean, ready to witness one of the most awe-inspiring sights ever to exist.
Atlantis says all systems are good to go.
Okay then. You can start. This is going to be so awesome!!! With that, Dragon settled back and waited.

Hey, at least you can watch it, he muttered. Chris looked down and the odd controls resting on the panel. "It looks pretty good to me."
Everything was green and good to go. Atlantis was about to be found again-and be raised to the surface. The City not only needed to be repaired, but they figured that with all the troubles of the world today, it would be better if a legend long gone would be remembered once again.
"All systems are ready." The City's voice rang out.
"This is going to be so cool," Chris said, and pressed the send button.

Immediately, the City started to shake as, slowly but surely, it began to fly upwards.

Dragonfly couldn't see anything yet, but it would most likely take time. It takes a little while for an entire city to raise from the sea floor. Then, the ocean began to ripple. It was a huge area-at least a couple miles long in some parts-maybe even longer. It was a huge city. Dragon waited with bated breath as the water grew lighter in color and began to churn.

She immediately flew higher, not wanting to miss out on this dramatic sight. Dragon turned, and focused all attention on the patch of rippling water.

She waited.

And suddenly, without warning, the main spire of the City burst out of the sea, like a great dragon climbing its way into the sky to fly again. Water cascaded off of the shining metal as the rest of the City came near. All at once, other spires rose into the air as the City flew higher and higher. They rose tall as canyon walls, burning brightly in the morning sun.

For Dragon, mere words could not express this sight. The great City had come to the surface again, rising through the sea until its gleaming spires had burst through the surface. Up and up the City rose, the ocean cascading off in streaming waves, revealing the City in its true glory. It was like no mortal had ever seen, and no like of it would ever be seen again.

It finally came to a stop and it was as if the entire world had been holding its breath. There where there was just a stretch of featureless ocean before, was the great, burning star of a City, a legend that had been lost and found again. The great spires shone in light, catching all eyes. People on the land later looked to the west, wondering what was shining so bright. The beauty and awe of this moment would be found nowhere again on the face of the earth.

Dragon laughed as she beheld this sight before her.
It was Atlantis, and now the legend would live.

Far away, the previous night, in the northernmost reaches of the Spine, a dragon the color of starlight suddenly awoke. Both eyes were bright green, but one was glowing eerily with a golden stripe of light.

Phalynx shook her head. She had just recieved a vision of the ocean. She had seen her old friends, Dragonfly and Chris, hovering over a rippling section of the vast body of water. Phal had a feeling she knew exactly where they were.

After a quick meal and a brief drink, she was off. It didn't take her long; she was a dragon after all, and by the time she reached the ocean she was met with a magnificent sight.

Phal watched the beautiful city rise majestically from the ocean. She was on the opposite side of her friends, and knew that they hadn't yet seen her. Still messing with that old city? That place has caused more harm than it's worth! Phal thought with amusement. The first time she had been to the city (when it was still underwater) she had nearly died, and the second time she had done something concerning the city, she had come even closer to death. Who knew what would happen this time?!

The beautiful silver dragon rose gracefully above the city, her scales reflecting its light like stars. As she ascended, she purposefully illuminated her eyes with golden light and gazed down at the two Ohnyaeli. Another nice entrance, she complimented herself, now it's two to one (in referral to her especially good and especially bad entrances.

OOC: boy, would I like to see that sight. A prettiful dragon and a lovely ocean city just rising up? Awesome! And isn't "all systems are ready" a little sci-fi for Eragon? lol

OOC:........ You people should watch Stargate Atlantis. Awesome show.
IC:Dragonfly just froze there, the entire time the city was rising, she hardly dared to breathe. Then, it finally stopped and she snapped out of it to see a familiar silver dragon flying over the City.
"Phalynx!!" she shouted and flew towards her. Dragon collided with the dragon and attempted to hug her in midair.

"Did you see that? It's so awesome-look at Atlantis!! Isn't it beautiful?" she yelled happily, so hyper that Dragon started flying circles around Phal.
Chris! Phalynx is here!

Chris looked up from the shiny metal panel with swirly colors.
Really?
"Hey, Atlantis, is everything done?" he asked the City.
"Yes, the procedure was a success. I'll be fine." Atlantis answered back.
"Okay," Chris grinned and and ran towards the door. It slid open and he teleported out of the city.
Chris flew up towards Dragon and Phalynx, glad to be out in the ocean air.
"Hey people!" he shouted coming in and colliding with Phal as well. He turned around and his gaze fell upon Atlantis, the morning star shining bright on the ocean.
"Wow," he muttered, falling into a trance, "that's amazing."
Dragonfly laughed."Yeah it was, especially the rising out of the ocean part."
She turned around and saw another dragon flying towards them, one that she didn't reconize. "Um, Phal, do you know who that is?" She asked, a little unnerved and way curious.

OOC: what color is your dragon?

Phalynx stopped in midair, allowing the speeding Ohnyaeli to collide with her. Hi Dragonfly! It's good to see you again, Phal greeted. Suddenly, Chris was there, and giving her a hug as well. It's good to see you too, Chris. This is definately a beautiful city, Dragon. Much less dangerous now that it's above the surface, Phal said, referring to the sea monsters and other dangers that they had faced in the city when it was underwater.

Phal turned at Dragon's words. Having been a little distracted by the two friendly Ohnyaelis, she had not noticed another dragon flying towards them. She smiled when she saw who it was. Don't worry, guys. It's Aelir and his rider Keralin, and they are friends, Phal said happily. Greetings Aelir! Greetings Keralin! I'm guessing you came to see Atlantis? Phal called out to the approaching pair.

OOC: I've actually seen many episodes of Stargate Atlantis. 'Tis a cool show! (and really funny sometimes, too!)

OOC: Aelir is a sky blue, pretty much the same as this text

IC: Hey, its Phalynx. Aelir said happily.
Keralin looked over and saw the three in the air. What are those things with her? He said to Aelir.
I don't know, but if Phal trusts them then I suppose they can't be all that bad. Aelir flew off towards them gently.
"Hi Phal, I did come to see it. Only got here a few moments before it rose. Who are you friends?" He asked very intrigued after seeing their shape.
I don't think I've ever seen anything like it, and I've seen most things. Keralin said to Aelir.

OOC: I feel like introducing my new characters.

IC: In a solitary room in the great City of Atlantis, lay an egg. It had been there for many hundreds of years, too many to count. But now the City was awake, and the hatchling inside the egg had stirred. Its time had come.

The egg shuddered, and a couple cracks appeared on the shell, spider-webbing across the surface. It fell still, for a second, then a minute. And suddenly it burst open, revealing a small baby dragon.

It couldn't have been any longer than a humans, forearm. However, his feathered wings were about that length as well. The dragon squeaked, and started licking off the membrane. Soon, he resembled a tiny hatchling with his opal fur sticking out in all directions. He blinked his large jade green eyes and shook out his wings, trying to dry the feathers. The hatchling squeaked again and started crawling towards the door.

He paused for a moment and cocked his head. Did he have a name? The hatchling thought for a moment, and only one thing came to his mind. Quetzalcoatl. It sounded like a good one.

Quetzalcoatl shrieked in suprise as Atlantis transported the hatchling to a rock outcropping outside the city. He stumbled around blindly, trying to find out what's going on. His wings fully spread, he looked up at the sky and squeaked as a large shadow came towards him.

OOC: dragon hatchlings are so cute.....

IC: Quetzalcoatl cocked his head and looked at the silvery dragon that landed next to him. He let out a reedy wail and folded in his wings closer, scared of the large dragon. Quetzalcoatl looked up and saw an even larger shadow flying overhead. He shrank himself down as small as he could, looking at the silvery one with large eyes.

The silver dragon started to talk to him. Her voice was thundering in his mind. Phalynx, that was her name. She hadn't attacked him yet-maybe she wasn't dangerous to him. But Quetzalcoatl still felt nervous in the presence of such a large dragon.
Phalynx wanted to know his name. Quetzalcoatl squeaked. He couldn't talk yet-he'd just hatched a few minutes ago. He wouldn't be able to for awhile either.

Dragonfly stared as Phalynx flew away to some small rocky outcropping. All of a sudden, she sensed something new- a new life just recently hatched. But it wasn't an Ohnyaeli-it was an opal dragon!!!
"Chris its a dragon! An opal dragon!" she yelled excitedly and teleported down to the outcropping.
Phal had already landed and was talking to the hatchling. Dragon touched down a few feet away
"Hello, there," she said to the hatchling, radiantly smiling. Dragonfly spread her wings fully, in hopes that the little dragon would reconize her. Dragon didn't know so much about opal dragons except that they lived with the Ohnyaeli in Atlantis and the Archepelagio (sp). Chris would know more-he'd live with one for 10 years or so.
She walked towards him. "His name is Quetzalcoatl." Dragon stopped. "That was wierd. How did I know that?"

Chris landed beside her. "Its sorta like dragon hatchlings knowing their own name. The Ohnyaeli had a special bond with opal dragons. They'd immediately know what their name were."
Chris grinned and looked at the furry hatchling admiringly.

OOC: Sorry for not realising. I'll pass.

Ebony and Felecia were flying to the west because they had seen something very bright and beautiful.When they got there they witnessed the emerging of a city that was thought to be lost forever....Atlantis."Its more beautiful than I was told." said Ebony, admiring the beauty of the city.Then Ebony saw someone he hadn't seen in a while,"Phalynx, is that you?" he said happily, then he saw that she was laying next to a new born......Opal dragon.Ebony had thought this dragon was extinct, but the dragon in front of him proved him wrong.He asked Phalynx softly,"What do we have here?What is his name?" Felecia jumped off of Ebony as he landed and walked toward the baby dragon and smiled at him, trying to make him feel safe.
