 Dragon Mountain: rebornooc: original name of the mountains is the Dragon Fortress so yeah
Ic: Star Gazer awoke to the noise of Reb moving around the cave. Her rider was making breakfast by the smells reaching her nostrils. She yawned and slowly rose to her feet. Reb was over in the corner by the hatchling cave, where she was taking up temporary residence. Star walked over to her rider and nudged her shoulder with her head. Reb laughed and patted her nose. Reb poked the fire with a stick, moving the coals around to help the deer cook evenly. " I caught a deer and left some uncooked for you. Though I figure you will have to hunt because it won't be enough." Reb said as she stirred the stew. She took in the delicious aroma and sighed. She looked around the cave and almost teared up. This is the first time in a long time that both she and Star had lived here peacefully and happily. Outside the noises of the sealing clan/horde . The sounds were welcome and almost unsettling in it's formality. She looked at Star and smiled. At least Star once again had her mountain to look after. Though the loss of Faefnir had to be crippling. Star Gazer was all too aware of her rider's worry that she still missed her family. Truth be told she did, the massive cave a constant reminder that her mate and daughter were no longer with them, just disappearing from the world without a trace. Terranor, Moon, and Wood, along with Moon's mate were still here. Alot of the horde remained and therefore she would make it through the pain, persevere to help her clan stand against the empire. I need to go outside. I shall return by the time your breakfast is ready. she didn't wait for Reb to reply before getting up and walkin off. She climbed te different levels of her cave and made it to the entrance. She took a deep breath and emerged into the sunlight. |

IC:Hawke had his hands in his pockets, gazing around as far as his keen eyesight could make out. However, all that was in sight was mountain after mountain after mountain, scaling the Beors, all of which were an impressive sight. Elisa was hovering next to him, flapping her wings occasionally to stay at equal altitude with Hawke. He glanced around the space he was at, for he had been here before, with Star, Reb, and Nilarek. This was the Dragon Moutain and all of it's glory. Hawke glanced down, his eyes diverted by a large, purple dragon that had emerged out of a cave. He smiled before descending, making aid of the various wind currents to reach Star Gazer. Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Star Gazer bowed her head to Hawke and Elisa in greeting. How is your cave? I trust you slept well? Star questioned. She looked around her and sighed. Many of the caves still needed to be cleared, as well as the training area. Large shards of rocks protruded from the ground, the once clear and tranquil land a barren battle field. Sh shook her head. There was much to do and she needed to begin right away.
She mentally made a list of all to be done. She knew that hunting grounds needed to be scouted, guards set, ground cleared, population checked. A few of the dragons had died, each one a burden on her heart. Though God spared most of them. But despite their deaths their families still needed cared for. She sagged, feeling as old as time. Her heart ached to have Faefnir's aid , love, and support. |

 IC: Na'ir flew swiftly through the mountains, her long, pointed wings twisting and angling as she swerved around huge trees and jagged peaks. She was in too much of a hurry to fly above the mountains; the air there was thinner and so her wings could not cup it as effectively, preventing quick flight. She was eager to return to the Dragon Mountain, her home away from home, and see how the repairs were coming. Alna'ir had first visited the Mountain after Queen Star Gazer's disappearance, and had been sent on missions of exploration (as she was an avid explorer and a talented cartographer). Upon returning from one of her journeys, she found the Mountain in shambles, with no trace of any dragon in sight. The blue dragoness had gone on other missions and adventures since then, and had recently learned from her mother that her aunt Star Gazer had returned and had begun to gather up the missing dragons and repair their home. Now, the mountains were in sight, and Na'ir smiled as she raced around the last few trees and reached the main summit. Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Hawke nodded. "The entrance to the cave had collapsed, leaving a mound of rubble, so I cleaned it out," he explained. His eyes scanned the area, watching various dragons perform aerial maneuvers. It had seemed that many were very excited about the return of Dragon Mountain. He smiled slightly as Elisa performed her own stunts as well. She was much larger than before due to Galbatorix's experimenting, so she had yet to grow mentally into her current body. "She loves the Mountain," Hawke added, referring to Elisa.

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Star Gazer thought about that. Well hunting grounds need to be scouted. I would be delighted for your help. Star Gazer said smiling at Elisa. she lifted into the air, and dove for the battle grounds. Her talons dug into a large boulder.
Star Gazer strained against the stone, flapping her large wings to lift it out of the ground. With a furious roar she slung the boulder intothe side of the mountain. It shattered sending rock shards in every direction, though harmlessly. She grinned and then dove for another rock. After awhile other dragons joined her. |

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Na'ir flew until she reached what seemed to be the place where most of the dragons were congregating. Several seemed to be lifting large stones and flinging them into the mountainside. The blue remembered that this had been a battleground as she dove for a closer look. A large dragoness, colored with a very deep purple, almost black, was leading the others. This had to be Queen Star Gazer. Na'ir flew lower and perched on a mountainside (not the one they were throwing the rocks at), waiting politely. She didn't want to interrupt anything, though she was itching to talk to the others. She decided to watch for now. When things calmed down she would approach Star Gazer, unless she was spotted first. Truth be told, she was feeling some intimidation. The Queen was her aunt, but she had heard of many of her great deeds from her parents and the sight of the magnificent dragoness herself only added to her imposing presence. The small blue was also not used to being around so many others, and realized that she preferred smaller groups.

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Hawke nodded. Elisa extended her own talons into a rock and gripped it fiercely. She picked up a rock about half the size of Star's and threw it against the mountainside. She was faster and more agile than she was powerful, but the rock shattered from the impact still. Elisa went to pick up another rock, but she turned and saw another dragoness standing on a mountainside, thankfully not the one everyone was hurling rocks at. Elisa flew next to the dragoness. She noticed that the dragoness had been eying Star Gazer a little bit as if she were going to approach. Hello, I haven't seen you around here. My name is Elisa. May I ask for yours? She asked the blue dragoness. Hawke rode the air currents and began to look for the hunting grounds.

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Star Gazer watched as the field was slowly cleared, and then when only the largest stone remained Star flew to it. She gripped it tight and lifted into the air. The ground cracked, and the stone groaned under the pressure. Flapping her massive wings one last time, Star launched as hard and fast as she could. The rock burst free with a gyeser of dirt. She launched the rock into the mountains and watched it explode. Silence stretched as they all looked at th newly cleared field. Then each and everyone took up a victorious roar.
Reb smiled to herself after her breakfast, knowing Star had become preoccupied with her duties and forgot about eating. She shook her head as she cleaned up, washing their dishes in a small streM at the back of the cave. After cleaning, Reb bathed in the stream, and then dressed in her usual tunic, but opted for a pair of short pants to fight the heat. Tucking her weapons in her tunic she headed out. She listened to the roars as she sat on the edge of their cave flor, looking down at the progress. She took a breath and then pushed off the edge, cycloning fire to slow her fall. |

The blue was faintly surprised to see that she had a rider, unlike most of the dragons here. She nodded and smiled. I'm pleased to meet you, Elisa. I don't come here too often but I have been here before. My name's Alna'ir but you can call me Na'ir, she greeted cheerfully. As off-putting as a large group of dragons was, the dragoness was nothing if not friendly. I was waiting for everyone to finish their work so that I could meet Star Gazer. She's my aunt, you see, she continued with a laugh, green eyes sparkling. Oh, it looks like they're done now. I hope you don't mind if I take this opportunity to speak with her, she added hastily upon hearing the other dragons' roars of triumph. She wanted to talk more with this Elisa, but she supposed she had better introduce herself to Star while she could.
Na'ir launched herself gracefully from her perch and flapped towards the large dragoness, who had finished her triumphant roars. She made her way towards Star Gazer, brushing her mind lightly against the Queen's in an inititial greeting. Queen Star Gazer? she said as she reached the dragon's side, stopping to hover. I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Alna'ir, and I am the daughter of Phalynx and Aeraldi. So I guess that would make you my aunt, she said, her voice friendly, though she was uncertain of how Star Gazer would react. Faefnir and Phalynx were half-siblings, true, but it would be weird to say "half-aunt." Hello my dear. I welcome you with open arms, and an open heart. God has blessed me indeed with you. she bowed low to the blue dragoness, and touched her nose to her neice's forehead. She turned to the other dragons, and in a loud voice announced, I welcome my niece and present her as a member of my family and she is welcome in my cave.
Reb walk over to the dragoness and bowed low. "welcome." she said formally. |

IC: Of course Elisa replied with a small smile as Na'ir went to go meet her aunt, Star Gazer. Star had just thrown the final rock into the mountain, and all of the dragons present had shared a celebratory roar in unison. Elisa joined in the roar, though her own roar wasn't quite as loud as many of the larger dragons' was. Hawke extended his mind through the depths of the grounds just as he had been trained to do. He was able to distinguish the minds of deer, rabbits, any many other good wildlife. He had even sensed a Nagra, but it was at the very edges of his sensing, so he didn't think about it too much. He weaved around the trees quickly as he flew around the grounds. When he felt that he had seen enough, he gained altitude so that every square inch of the grounds were under his peripheral. Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Na'ir had of course heard many stories of Star Gazer from her parents, how she was a loving but fiercely protective queen. The blue was heartened by her warm welcome and she smiled brightly at her family member. I suppose it would also please you to hear that I have three siblings. My brothers are Sirius and Saiph and my sister is Polaris. Hopefully you can meet them soon as well; I'm sure they'd love to meet you, she spoke cheerfully, glancing around for a few moments. Anyway, one of the reasons I've come is to help you with repairs to the Mountain. I was here a couple times after your disappearance but before it was damaged, so I know my way around at least a little, she continued, hoping she could help. Na'ir liked to help others, especially family. She was also eager to get to work so that she'd have another chance to talk to Elisa and get to know her a bit better. Another thing she liked was making friends. Her parents had taught her the value of friendship many times over, which she took greatly to heart.
OOC: I think Star might have skipped you but we can resume the normal order I suppose lol. She seemed to be talking to a smaller blue dragoness. Hawke hung by next to Elisa, waiting for them to finish patiently. Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Star Gazer looked around her, and sighed. I am glad you ar here. If you wish you can have your own cave, but if not you may join my rider ad I. Without.....Faefnir it is empty indeed. Star invited sadly, though proud of herself for barely hesitating over her mate's name. She refused to pretend he wasn't real, or that she didn't miss him. The ache was a constant thing, but her strength was needed, nay she owed it to her people.
She looked at the King and Queen cave sitting high up on the mountain. The murals faint but still there. Her rider walked up and pat her leg. Reb was the only one who knew the depth of her sorrow. She too missed Faefnir and Star was all too aware of the worry her rider had for her. |

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Na'ir smiled briefly and nodded sadly at Star's words, feeling the loss anew. She had only met her uncle briefly, and hadn't gotten to spend much time with him. Her parents had included many, many stories of him in their tellings, and Na'ir knew how much Phalynx loved her brother. I will stay with you, if that is alright. I don't intend on staying here permanently... I'm a bit of a traveler, actually. I just wanted to help with the cleanup and also see everyone again, she replied, inclining her head politely. She figured she didn't need anywhere of her own to sleep; these dragons had enough to do without finding a proper cave for just one dragon, who wouldn't even be there long. I'll go see if I can help the other dragons now, she said, smiling once more at Star Gazer and then at Reb when the rider approached, and flapped away to see what currently needed doing. She noticed Elisa nearby, now with a rider.

Dragon Mountain still needed a fair amount of work, and it wasn't going to be complete anytime soon. Hawke chose this time to approach Star Gazer. "The hunting grounds have been scouted. There was a Nagra in the very distance, but it wasn't coming in this direction. Is there anything else you would have me do?" Hawke asked Star, wishing to be as helpful as he could right now. "Hello, Reb," Hawke said politely and nodded to the Rider of Star Gazer.

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Star Gazer nodded, and thanked Hawke. Well actually a few of the caves are still filled. Reb was planning on clearing out an older cave today. You may join her if you wish. she said and then bowed low departing.
Reb looked at Hawke. "Hello. If you wish to help I think we should start right away." she said, turning towards an outcropping of rocks. She grabbed hold and pulled herself up. This was a lower level of caves, and the hadn't been dealt with yet. Reb walked to the closest one ad sighed. The mural above the door told her who's cave it had been. The male dragon who had lived here was a beautiful green color, and a strong fighter. He was also one of the many who had returned, but this time he had a family, an the need for a cave for his family was urgent. |

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Na'ir paused to listen to what Star Gazer and Reb said to the rider, thinking she could help clear out caves as well. She approached Elisa again, wondering what the dragoness would do. Hello again. If you are going to keep working I'll help out if you wish. Is that your rider? she asked with a smile, glancing towards the one who had been speaking with the Queen and Reb. The blue always liked helping others when she could, and also making new friends, so this was a good opportunity for both. With all the dragons working together, the needed repairs wouldn't take long at all (or at least Na'ir hoped so).

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Elisa smiled as Na'ir approached her. Yes, I would gladly accept your help Elisa said gratefully. Indeed, he is my Rider she added, a proud tone evident. Hawke nodded. His potency in wind magic served as an advantage in jobs such as these. He followed Reb, following her gaze as she stopped to a mural. He glanced curiously at it, but it didn't ring any bells in his mind so he dismissed it. He glanced at the pile of rubble barely several yards into the cave. It wouldn't do to just blast them back further into the cave. Not only would that leave a mess, but they could hit the wall and cause jagged stalagmites and large rocks at the top of the cave to fall. Hawke wasn't sure how stable this cave was, but he wouldn't just start shooting rocks around haphazardly.

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Reb sighed as she began to climb over the rocks, hoping to get behind the pile. Her plan was to blast the rocks out of the cave with explosive blasts of fire, but they had to be careful not to make a mess.
The rocks beneath he shoe began to slide, an she gasped as a sharp rock split her hand when she fell. Her gasp was directly followed by a blush. The pain was insignificant, and she was embarrassed she spoke out. |

And can I ask where you're both from? she asked, wondering about this dragon and rider. They both seemed quite young, and so must have been bonded after the Fall. Na'ir was glad to see that at least one more egg than she thought had survived the purge of dragonkind. Her kin were rare enough, so she felt a great sense of connection to most dragons she met (a few dragons she had heard of or seen were evil, and she was never sure why these dragons hated members of their own kind so much). Thinking on these things, she followed after Elisa, eager to participate in the repairs.

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Hawke stifled a laugh, but it still surfaced as a chuckle and he placed his hand over his mouth, hoping that Reb hadn't heard him laughing at her. Holding off the smile that threatened to break out, he reached a hand out towards her. "Need help?" he asked, hoping against all odds that he could hold off his laugh.
Elisa turned back and smiled, a large toothy grin more-so. His name is Hawke, and I hatched in a forest not too far away from Gil'ead. She faltered for a moment, her gaze flicking towards Hawke's general direction. Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Na'ir nodded solemnly to Elisa. I've never been to Gil'ead... though I've flown in that area. Did Hawke not know his family, then? she replied sympathetically, hoping she wasn't being too nosy. She could be rather a nosy dragon, without meaning to. Elisa's silver scales suddenly caught the light, flashing a little and reminding Na'ir of Phalynx's star silver color. Your scales remind me of my mother's actually. I guess I was one of a lucky few to be born into a family after the Fall... though, I think most dragons can call each other family now, anyway, she continued, trying to find a brighter side to the situation. And she really did think that; with so few left, dragonkind should be working together as one big family now.

He slid down the landslide on his back and landed on his shoulders at the bottom before flipping back and landing on his stomach. He grunted, righting himself and wiping the dirt off of his clothes. "That was inelegant," he murmured. "So! Let's get to it then."
Hawke doesn't remember his family. He's pretty sure that they were killed Elisa replied softly. She knew that Hawke might not approve of her telling this, but she figured that he would need to start opening up more. At what Elisa assumed was a compliment, she smiled Thank you. I don't know your mother, but I'll take that as a compliment she nodded. Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Reb smiled, attempting to hold back a laugh when Hawke fell. She walked past him and stood ten feet behind the rocks. She took a deep breath, taking a wide stance. Her hands went out infront of her. "Ready to blast these stupid things?" Reb asked, and then focused. She wAs going to use a high concentrated fire blast to shoot the rocks out the front of the cave.

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Na'ir was sad to hear about Hawke's family from Elisa. So many people had such unhappy stories to tell about their past. Maybe the rider was wrong, and some of his family had survived. The blue hoped that was true, at least. She laughed lightly at Elisa's statement about her remark being a compliment. It was meant to be a compliment, don't worry, she stated with another laugh. She glanced away toward the riders and saw them setting to work on clearing out some caves. Oh, I suppose we should lend those riders a paw, shouldn't we? she said, watching Reb and Hawke clear away the rocks. She glanced back toward Elisa with a smile and flew down in the direction of the two-legs, looking for a section of rocks that she could clear. Her special vision power might be of help when clearing out caves, so she began looking beneath the mountainside for any caves that were filled with rocks and needed cleaning up.

Elisa looked to where her Rider and Reb were clearing out rocks before nodding. Yeah, let's go she murmured, flying towards the cave. Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Reb let loose a blast of fire, the rocks blasting out of the cave and into the clearing. Reb sighed and then moved to the next pile. She grimaced. Only a billion piles to go. She threw her rms out and blasted more rocks out.
Star Gazer watched as her rider cleared a cave and smiled. Slowly but surely her home was being rebuilt. Once the repairs were done, she fully imtented to have Faefnir's picture carved into the side of her cave. Her one and only mate would be remembered for all time in stone. She shook herself and then turned as male dragon came up to her and bowed. He was half her size, and she vaguely remembered his birth. She looked at him and waited for him to speak. "Mistress Star, some of us were wondering....if well.....do you plan on abdicating the the throne?" |

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Na'ir fluttered down to the cave where Reb and Hawke were working, Star Gazer standing nearby. She headed into the cleared-out space and began digging through the rocks, pushing them out of the tunnel and into the empty air outside the cave. When she came to stone that was more tightly-packed, she let loose a blast of starfire. The silvery flame, flecked with blue, burst through the rocks and cracked the larger ones into more manageable pieces. As she worked, she noticed another dragon approach Star outside the cave. She couldn't help but feel interested, and so listened in. The dragon's words surprised her. Abdicate the throne? But she is a wonderful Queen! Although I suppose Terranor would do a good job if he took up Star's place, Na'ir thought, watching the two out of the corner of her eye. She had never actually met her cousin, but had heard good things about him from others.

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Hawke briefly glanced at a dragon that had breathed some sort of silver fire. He recognized the dragon as Na'ir, and thanked her, before sending the rocks flying with another gust of wind. Elisa made use of her strength, tail, and wings to slam rocks into smaller pieces or out of the cave altogether.

This was her mountain, her home. Yes she had been taken from them but, she would fight for her kingdom. No young one. I fought my family, and the dragon they wanted as my mate for years to be queen and I don't plan on giving it up. Yes Terranor will become king, but not for many years to come." Star Gazer replied before turning away, tail lashing in anger.
Terranor watched his mother talk to the other dragon, catching only a few words. He flew over to her and rubbed his head against her shoulder. He would never ge used to seeing her again. For years he had feared that he was alone, and then his moths had returned. Mother? I know it's hard but please forgive the dragons. They all love you, we are in shock that is all. I love you. Terranor said, leaning into her side. |

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Na'ir continued to eavesdrop on Star Gazer and the other dragon as she worked, curious about what was going on and forgetting that she was trying to work on not being nosy. She smiled when the purple-black dragoness told off the younger dragon, saying that she would, indeed, remain Queen. Na'ir was happy to hear that. She couldn't help glancing back when she heard another dragon approach, and her green eyes widened as she saw that it was Terranor himself, her cousin. She would definitely go out to meet him later, but first she had to continue helping to clear the caves. She glanced toward Hawke and Elisa to see how they were progressing, and then began digging and smashing through the rocks some more.

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Hawke blasted off a pile, starting to lose count of what number he was on. He didn't feel that exhausted at all. In fact, it felt good for him to stretch his powers while not doing anything too tiring. Still, though, the piles of rocks seemed like enemies on a battlefield. Endless.

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Star Gazer smiled T her son, and nudged him. He wa the spitting image of his father. Their resemblance startling, Terranor was smaller though and not as powerful. He was a strong leader but not near ready to lead a kingdom. She closed her eyes and sighed.
Reb blasted more rocks, smiling. She loved the rush fire gave her. It made her feel invincible. She let the fire spin, gaining speed before blasting them away, the explosion a big one. The force blasted her backwards. She laughed and picked herself back up. |

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Na'ir continued to shift and dig through the rocks, working on clearing the tunnel she was in. She could see that the tunnel branched ahead, and eventually led to two separate chambers. One of the chambers was actually relatively free of rubble, and the other was only partially filled. It would make things a little easier, she thought. She let out another blast of starfire to loosen the rocks, and glanced behind her at the sound of an explosion. Apparently Reb was enjoying herself with all the fire she was unleashing. The blue grinned and kept working. She reached the branch in the tunnel and followed the smaller passage, digging and breaking rocks. She reached the chamber in a few more minutes and began clearing the rocks from it as well. It was fairly roomy, with two small side-rooms and a platform on the side, probably for resting. Of course, Na'ir had to use her special vision for this, as the openings to the side-chambers and the platform were buried under the rubble.

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Hawke chuckled with a bit of unease at the amount of fun Reb was having. He swirled the winds so that they were moving in circular motions, and various pieces of rocks were being carried by the winds. With a sudden jolt, the rocks were all blasted clear and out of the way. Hawke sighed, feeling a bit weary after all of this magic. Nevertheless, he continued on and worked to clear the rest of the cave. After this was done, he figured that he would take a small break.

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Reb noticed the odd looks the others gave her and rolled her eyes. In this world a little joy was to be seized when possible. After the cave was cleared, Reb plopped down. On the stone. She layed back and looked up a the ceiling, listening to Star Gazer give commands. Her dragon gave her pride. She loved Star with all her heart.
After a few minutes Reb stood and headed back to her cave. She grabbed her bow wanting to hunt. She followed the paths to a spot near where she killed this morning and hunkered down behind a bush. |

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Na'ir finished clearing out the small chamber she was in, and then emerged to rejoin the others. Reb had left, and she saw the rider heading away with her bow in hand. She glanced out towards Star Gazer, who was giving commands to the other dragons, and looked around for Terranor. She still wanted to meet her cousin. Eventually, she spotted him, and darted towards the gold. He was almost as old as her mother, which was somewhat odd to think about now that she realized it. Terranor! Hi! I'm Alna'ir, and I guess we're cousins, she called as she approached him. He was also very large for a dragon his age, especially compared to the slight form of the blue.

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn When they finished the cave, Hawke took control of a cold breeze and gracefully jumped into the air. After but a second, he was flying, manipulating the wind current to carry him to anywhere he desired. After easing his muscles, he just hovered in the air. He always thought better in the skies, and he most definitely felt more relaxed. He wasn't hungry yet, but he was getting a little low on energy.

Re: Dragon Mountain: reborn Na'ir returned Terranor's smile, her tail swishing back and forth with her energy. So can I ask you what living on the mountain with all of these other dragons is like? Or, was like, I guess, before they all got scattered, she asked, curious about her cousin's life. She was very curious about this place as well. She had been here before, prior to the period of chaos, but had not stayed very long. She was interested to know what living with so many other dragons was like, since she spent most of her time either alone or with her immediate family. She decided to relate as much to the gold. I don't really spend a lot of time with other dragons, so it makes me curious about your home. I'm usually with my family or siblings, or on my own, she added, gazing around them at all the glittering forms sailing around the peaks, working on repairing their home. She caught sight of Elisa nearby and waited to catch her eye, deciding to invite her over for their chat as well. She wanted to find out more about both young dragons.
