My state is that oromis will die before Eragon finishes training, Murtagh gives eragon time to kill Galb, Murtagh dies. Egg hatches for anybody (Don't care). No more Dragon riders. But Race of dragons is newly created

I think he will finish Eragon's training- or at least the summarized version- you see i think Oromis will realize things are happening much quicker than he expected and will speed up Eragon's training even more.

That would allow Eragon to train more dragonriders though.

i say he will probabbly give eragon the Cliff notes version, then will die right at the very end, possibbly be for he shares the greatest riders secret of all time or something like that.

I think eragons training will be finished or partly finished when he has to go into battle against galby and then oromis will turn up to assist him and die in the proses (wild theorie) . But im sure of one thing eragon will, must be there when oromis dies.

i highly doubt it because eragon would set loads of wards around oromis and it would kill eragon not oromis

I don't think that Oromis will die before Eragon finishes his training...but right after that i think that Oromis will like somehow sacrifice himself to protect Eragon.

Remember the story of the Menoa tree how the Woman merged herself with the tree, what if Oromis did the same to complete Eragons training,thus merging his powers with Eragons? So he could complete his duty as an Elder.

i think he will be revealed to Galby and will die for Eragon but i dont know if it will be before or after his training...

i reacon oromis will die from his mysterious diasease but right before he does he will merge his power and glaedars into eragons new weapon

I'm kinda hoping he'll die before Eragon's training. I know that sounds heartless, but I don't want to have to read chapters and chapters more about his lessons x.x

I believe Oromis will finsih Eragons training and then die while fighting. The only reason he isn't fighting now is because he needs to stay alive long enough to train Eragon. Once his traiing is complete he will go down with a fight and make his last minutes usefull.

well oromis is going to die soon and eragon said his training will continue for the rest of his life so he will die before then.

hey, in eldest, when he asked that guy 4 a map(cant remember his name) 2 the burning plains, he told the guy: my training will never finish as long as my life, or something like that.

so, oromis cant live as long as eragon is going 2 live so yes, he will die

I think that Eragon will return to Ellesmera and start to finish training with Oromis but before he does Oromis will die and Eragon will have to learn to help himself

Yes, but oromis can't help eragon and if he lives he might be able to help eragon with valuable information that will defeat galby easily. Anf of course we can't have that now, can we?

But don't you think that he's gotta die? He is very sick after all and it will be just like brom dieing - he had to die so eragon could discover some things by himself. He mustn't have any help defeating galby to make the book more exciting.

I know it would be so funny and really stink if like when Eragon is battling Galby, Eragon is so exhausted he can hardly breathe. Then Galby is about to strike a fatal blow that would kill Eragon and Oromis comes in like a super hero wearing a cape and kills Galby all by himself. That would stink because Oromis would get all the credit! So yeah Oromis should die peacfully right after Eragon's training is complete.

i think oromis is somewhat like a bromish character, like a mentor. if cp made brom die, i think oromis will die 2.

Oromis's death I think is inevitable. It will happen when Eragon and us readers are least expecting it. He may very well die before Eragon's training is completed, but by then let's hope that Eragon has learned almost or pretty much all he needs to learn, and if not he can discover it on his own. Even if he doesn't die before Eragon's training is over, I think he will die in a battle, by getting wounded, or just from old age.

It would be better if Oromis died of that disease he had. That way, Galbatorix can't absorb his energy and use it against Eragon.

I think you're probably right there....It is a bit like obawan dieing in star wars and then yoda dieing isn't it? But I think that is what the plotline is coming to.
