It's been a while since I've read Eragon and Eldest, so uh what is his sword/ weapon going to be in book three?

sigh...it's going to be Brom's sword held by Linnea's family.

Maybe getting his new body is his weapon, or it only is there at the blood oath celebration

i agree that eragon will use brom's sword at first but i think that he will find a weapon under the menoa tree and use that for the rest of the book

brom's sword was "lost" (to the Wyrdfell). he can't use it in the beginning because he doesn't have it. he will get it from Linnea's family.

it seems most newbies think that the roots are litteral.

i think that the elf blacksmith will make eragon a sword the color of saphira

He might get it from one of the elf families that has the riders blade.

And he'll get a lightsaber too!

It seems right.. I mean its either than or the first Eragon's sword. Getting a Pike would be more probable than a new sword or broms..

ok did you edit that,because it suddenlly makes sense. I always knew what a root of origin was but how you used it in the sentence just threw me for a loop and dint make sense. now that does.

any way, that idea is good. the Eragon gets brooms old sword and the other sword is green so it goes to the other rider.

She swore an oath that she wouldn't make anymore swords. Since elves usually talk in the ancient language, there is only a slim possibility, and that is only because Quantum Physcis says so.

you can lie in the ancient language while writing in it, and depending on the wording she could break the oath.

that is a good point. but i doubt she wrote it but the wording thing is very possibble...

If she took an oath you'd think that she would keep it.

yeah, but someone said swords and i wanted to note that it was a broader statment.
if she swore not to make swords all she would have to do ismake a short sword and call it a kife.

A Short Sword would not be a rider's sword would it not? the blade of Morzan was at least a longsword, so how is eragon going to fight galbatorix with a dagger?

Well it wouldnt have to be REALLY short. i just saying htere are ways to get out of the wording of swearing not to make swords. ways that are much more obvious than swearing not to make weapons of war...

Yes but its not proven. Now i have no idea what the new weapon will be but i don't think it will be that sword.And the weapon has to be under the menoa tree. It wouldn't be eragon's new body since that really isn't a weapon.
