In other news I just took the cinnamon challenge today with my little brother. It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but he nearly puked.

I'm cold as well, and I have the warmest room in the house. (it's about 65 out there, while it's normally about 70 in here because I have all the heating vents open the door closed, and the windows covered.)

However my brothers keep opening the door and the temperature has dropped considerably.

Do you know what is the hardest thing for a veteran forum administrator to do? Well that would have to be signing up to a forum that he does not have administrative or moderator privileges to . You get use to the tools that you have at your disposal and it's a strange feeling when you don't have them. The worst thing is when the forum in question you are signing up to is using an older version of phpbb. Things look the same, but you are missing even more features which are normally available to ever user.

SF did the conversion from phpBB 2 to phpBB 3 over four years ago, but we did run with the other version for three years. Let's just say that in that time I got use to all of the new features being there .

If ever a member of the other forum in question sees this message please don't think of it badly. This is just points of view that I have had before even knowing that your's existed. I would never expect anyone from the forum to know of which forum I am talking about and would prefer ffor it to remain that way.

We had our first snow and snow storm over here today. Yesterday everything was greenish and yellow and this morning everything became white . Can't wait for more of it to come and my semester to conclude so that I can do my annual snowman/sculpture. I have different ways of channeling my creativity, what I cannot apply to my classes finds other purposes.

It is not Thanksgiving up here, but I have a feeling that this what I may eat tonight. My father is in the kitchen gutting one right now. Thai turkey anyone?

Thanksgiving is a huge family get together to me. Pretty much my entire extended family comes and has a huge feast, where everything pretty much is homemade. (We don't gut the turkeys though)

Yet this year it was a lot more relaxed than usual. Not that there was activity, but it was just calmer, and everyone just got along with each other quite well. (Boys, grandpa, and uncles in the kitchen and tv room watching the game, the girls chatted in the living room, and the kids played with toys downstairs. (It is held in my aunt's large mountain mansion)

So yeah, I got full on some of the best freaking turkey I have ever had, chatted for a while, and just sat around with the other guys as we watched the game, even though I'm not that into football. And I don't think that I was the only one leaving happy that day. So it was a really good time. Happy Thanksgiving!

Turns out there was no thai turkey after all . Just preparing them for some of the christmas parties that are coming up next month. Don't worry they are being frozen until then.

Saw a bit of the parade on the news when I decided to venture on the US channels this morning. They seemed to have some good weather to do that.

Hey everyone, How you all been?

I think various body parts (right leg and left hand specifically) hate me today. My leg I know is the result of my Taekwondo class, because I was doing side kicks against the wall (bonus points if you knock down the letters that spell out Taekwondo), misjudged the distance, my leg snapped straight, and the ball of my foot hit the bag (not supposed to happen). Meh, now it hurts when I tighten my kneecap. And my hip hurts and I, again, blame the side kicks. It's not unusual. And I think I burned my finger, but it didn't start hurting until an hour and a half after I had contact with anything hot. Belated pain, I's guess.....

Ah well, that's my sob story! No wait! I haven't even started on the mountain of school work I have....

Right in the middle of my exam session. Why is it that I have both of the exams I have doubts about in the beginning. Well it should be easier after tonight. Probability and statistics here I come.

Just came back from a Christmas party. Might not be the wisest idea during exam period, but it's a good thing to change your mind. Also helps the mood when everyone else is so cheerful and pleasant. Can't wait for the exams to be over, five more days to go.

Be careful about that last point. You probably want to change your habits, because it will come back to haunt you sooner or later. If you are able to get thosegrades with work writing at the last minute you can definitely get it completed sooner. If you don't change it now you will come to a point where you won't have enough time to complete your works. Trust me on that.

As for cities I have the entire list. You just have to look at the traffic origins in the logs and see who is a returning user. Just can't see who that person is. My city is in the top ten originating locations, I wonder why?

Sorry about the double posting, but I really wanted to make sure that everyone was informed that the winter banners on saphiralight are now enabled.

If you are unable to see snow covered letters on the banner then that means that you need to refresh your browser cache. This can be done on firefox by pressing ctrl and f5 at the same time. Once you are able to see it then you will not have to do this again for the next 3-4 weeks.

Here I go in technicalities. Normally the banner is set to by your browser and our server to be good for a long period of time. This means that you don't need to download it each time you visit a page since your computer already has a copy of the image that it can use. if you ever wondered this is why you have temporary internet files. The difference during the holiday season is that the SF server tells your computer that the banner image is only good for one day. You are then able to get a new banner day and we are able to entertain you

This does not apply if you are on glaerdlight, thornlight, amethyalight or any other styles that I might have accidentally left enabled. I'll see after the exams if I might have the time to port it to the second most popular style, glaerdlight.

I am kind of lost for ideas right now for the Christmas banners . If you have any topic suggestions for the next ones send me a pm and I'll use your gift ideas in them. Don't want to use the ones from last year which I sadly had to do for day 3 since I was short on time. With my studies currently set on sustainable engineering and the environment the topics that come to mind would not really be ok for them.

Merry Christmas you guys! Still waiting for my little brothers to wake up to see what Santa brought them. . .

My Christmas Eve was okay. Decorated some more, wrapped some presents, and cleaned up. However, someone knocked on our door late at night and dropped a HUGE pile of presents on the doorstep all from "Santa." And I mean something like 5 small presents, 15 medium sized ones, 3 medium-large, and one gigantic present that was as half as high as the tree.

Whether it's a very generous act of kindness from some stranger or one of my dad's "miracle" tricks, (he was going on about not having many gifts this year right before that happened, which is usually a sign that there will be a lot) I don't know, but I'm very grateful for it.

Sorry about the downtime everyone. The server was working, but it seems like the web server program had stopped functioning correctly. This is why you might have been getting endless loading periods with no timeout. Fixed the problem for now at least. This was the first time that I had ever seen this one occur. The server had been running non stop for the past 277 days.

As for my part I had a good Christmas. Saw some of the family on the 24th and 25th. Finally we went shopping today for the canadian boxing day (equivalent to the american black friday) which occurs after christmas. Got my computer's antivirus license and some neat new shirts for the upcoming year. Have to replace the ones that have became worn out.

I had an amazing Christmas! I got the Uncharted 3 : Drake's Deception collectors edition box set with a replica of Nate's ring pendant, his belt buckle, a traveling box, a Nathan drake collectible statue and a collectors edition steel box. I also got an autographed cd, an Eric Cartman plushie, a pack of Mighty Boosh buttons, a mighty boosh logo t-shirt, lots of pj's an toy car *awesome* and a bunch of other cool stuff!

I know, I was just joking. The 2012 prophecy is a misunderstanding of a mistranslation. The Mayans never intended it to be the end of the world, nor even the end of their calender. Just the end of an era which will pass once the sun and earth aligns with the center of the galaxy. It's still a cool concept, and it's still confusing as to why such primitive people were able to figure that out, but I doubt that it is the end.

However, many people still think it is, and that is why I think that this next year is going to be quite chaotic.

I saw a different version of that cartoon of two mayans looking at their calendar. Then one points and says: "You know, that is going to freak someone out someday. . ."
