It was Selena. Eragon's mom, yeah it was her downfall when she went to Brom but I don't think she'd have it any other way.

I think she loved him very very much but had no choice but to go back to Morzan... i think Eragon is Brom's son tho...that's y she went into hiding n had him secretly bcos she didnt want Morzan to kno she had kinda cheated on him....she did wot she had to do to protect Eragon n Brom....

I think even Saphira knows, I'm sure Brom has told her something about Eragon and him.

Blagden obviously knos Brom is Eragon's dad...Blagden neva met Morzan so how could he compare them?????

I have two reasons for believing that Brom is Eragon's father. #1: Blagden never met Morzan because Morzan was never at Ellesmera. If he had been he would have told Galbatorix the location. #2: Saphira is blue. Notice that Zar'roc is red and the custom is for the blade's color to match the dragon's color. Morzan had a red dragon and a red sword. Now Murtagh has a red dragon and a red sword. Brom had a blue dragon named Saphira and a blue sword. I say his sword is blue because Rhunon made it, I know that because she said in Eldest that when she refused to make him another one after he lost it, he went nuts. And she made all the Riders' swords so it's common sense that tells me that Brom is his father. Not to mention what Saphira said to Eragon when he was wallowing in his misery about who his *father* was. So I do not believe that Morzan is his father. And the trilogy name is Inheritance. Eragon is the Rider of a blue dragon like his father, and Murtagh is the Rider of a red dragon like HIS father.

Wasn't paying attention, I posted in the wrong topic. However, I think that Selena was his secret love because when Eragon asked him if he had known his mother, I think he looked away and said "Well enough to miss her when she was gone." I think him looking away was a dodge so that Eragon wouldn't see him go all teary eyed, and didn't he sort of change the subject quick after that?
