Anyone heard of them? Well, Red is a Grammy-nominated American rock band originally from Nashville, Tennessee. There are many genres which they have been referred to as, such as hard rock, Nu-metal, Post-grunge, and symphonic rock. They consider themselves to be a Christian band, but by listening to their songs, you probably would never notice. If you like heavy music you can bang your head to, you'd probably like them. However, in addition to the hardcore guitars and drumming, many of their songs are accompanied by piano, viola, and cello. Essentially, their music is a representation of the clash between chaos and peace, or, as their new album is titled, the fight between Innocence and Instinct. Listen to some of their songs:

Red is so amazing. Really, I'd recommend anyone to listen to ANY of their songs.
Those are only three; there are so many more...
Including the new album. So good...
Check them out. I highly recommend it.

Hehe I've only heard like 2 songs by them, but I'm going to one of their concerts this summer lol
I wish I could see them in concert... do you think they'd mind that I'm not Christian? ...

Probably not lol
Yeah, I think it'll be sweet. Its a huge concert, starts at noon, goes all the way till midnight!! Went last year too (though TFK was the main band, instead of Red) It was awesome, I was so hyper lol
Mike Barnes is a really good singer, he's even good at screaming.
Especially in this song

Re: RED
yep, him and Chester... and Tim...
this is a band that deserves more recognition... i hope they become really popular... like as much as Linkin Park... ooh! one of their songs should be in GH! that would give some fame.
Truthfully I don't really want them to become that big. It'd be awful if they became the "next big thing" and everyone started listening to them just to be cool. I kinda like them as what they are now, an amazing underground band that doesn't need fame to be what they are... but that's just me hehe. But it would be totally cool to see one of their songs in GH.
Another song off the new album. Co-written by Benjamin Burnley from Breaking Benjamin!

Sonshine Music Festival - Willmar, MN. Last year when you saw TFK at the place in Canada, it was one day after they played at Sonshine.
I'm hopefully workin stage crew, so I'll probably help set their stage and all that

Re: RED
Thats awesome!!! I've been thinking of volunteering for the concert in Drumheller, but I get home from camp that day, so I'll miss the first half, probably won't be there till like 3 in the afternoon at least.
I think Red is taking their place as one of the top Christian rock bands right now... maybe even as popular as Skillet.. due to the success of their new album.

Yes, one of my favorite bands of all time. Their music is ingenious! They have such a great variety, too. I mean, you can listen to Pieces and then Breathe Into Me and notice a huge difference, yet they're both amazing songs! I can guarantee that most people who hear their music will at least like it; it's impossible to not like them (lol, I know, I'm probably exaggerating ).
I WANT TO MEET THEM!!! Please, Keever or fronzz, when or if you see them, tell them a boy named Rafi from Pennsylvania is forcing them to come to him, or else he'll track them down.
PS: Innocence and Instinct is flawless!

Re: RED
THANK YOU.
Michael Barnes is my hero. Did you notice how small he is compared to Randy and Andy Armstrong though? I wonder how tall he is... I'll check Wikipedia.
It's super cool that they have like an orchestra for their songs.

Re: RED
Oh yeah, definitely. It adds so much power and emotion to their songs and makes them so much more dramatic. It's amazing what you can do with music these days.

Re: RED
A friend told me about them last thanksgiving, then a friend on LIVE told me about Innocence and Instinct. An AWESOME album. I've got about 6 or 7 off of it. Some very good songs.
They're not more popular than Skillet yet, but are growing. Not sure which I like more, as they're different. I have far more skillet songs, though.
Favorites....probably Mystery of You and Forever. But others are good too.
Yeah, they're really climbing the ranks in Christian rock these days... though Skillet has been around for way way longer and are probably the most popular Christian rock band as of now, or one of them at least.
Nice ones ;P I can't begin to choose favorites on this album...
Did y'all know that Randy and Andy Armstrong were born in PA?

Re: RED
Yeah, Skillets been around for over 10 yeas, so they've got a head start. And likely the most popular for their style....Rock is a broad category.
Yeah, definitely. Skillet has had a few variations in their style in their time... Red basically stayed the same from their old album to the new one. In my opinion, they took their usual style and improved upon it...
Did you guys like their cover of Ordinary World by Duran Duran? I thought it was really good...
This is funny XD

Cool, always nice to find more fans. Those are both great songs from End of Silence. I suggest listening to a few songs from their newer album, Innocence and Instinct.
