She and Faolin obviously had romatic feelings for each other but they were never mates for the same reason you said Eragon and Arya won't be together.... because of their duties and obligations.

For the last time anyone who has read CP's interviews knows that LOTR is his main influence. You can see that in his books because many ideas and names are borrowed directly from LOTR. Arya and Eragon = Arwen and Aragorn(who were several hundreds of years apart in age).

besides, marrying is just too much of a commitment when they're just going to be ripped apart anyway

1- Elves under no circumstance will marry anyone. They do not believe in marriage. They take mates for however long they like.

2- I doubt CP will have Eragon and Arya ripped apart(no matter how much you want that to happen).... he is following a traditional formula.

Yes and as in his vision in book 1 ... he will leave arm in arm with a tall elven woman while two dragosn fly overhead... now that he looks like an elf it fits in with the two people at the front of the group being arm and arm and looking like elves. Arya is an elf and Eragon looks like one.

What a silly comparison. The people who said the world was flat had no impact on it actually being flat or not. On the other hand CP controls what will happen in his books. If you follow logic then there is a 99.9% chance that Eragon will end up with Arya. It's obvious CP is drawing influences from LOTR(he has even admitted this). Eragon and Arya = Aragorn and Arwen.


And no Eragon will not probably get a mate, he will certainly get one. CP has confirmed this and all of Angela's other predictions were true so her prediction that Eragon will soon have an epic romance will also come true.

By your reasoning we also don't know for sure that Eragon isn't actually a monkey and Murtagh isn't actually a woman... but if we follow logic than we know that neither is true. Time to apply some common sense. If not Arya than who ? Who else fits into the prophecy ? What could possibly happen that will cause Eragon in the span of one book to forget about Arya and fall for someone else. If it was supposed to be someone else than why would CP force Eragon's affections toward Arya down throats for 3 books and then also in the third book have Arya start to show feelings for him.

He didn't copy the whole book, just certain things especially the Aragorn/Arwen relationship. The characters are so similar in almost every way from personality to appearance to age difference to social position.

Bladesinger ... Not gonna happen. She is only in one book and there isn't a single hint as to her being a future dragon rider.

On the other hand... Arya... it's been mentioned several times that her eyes and magic are both colored green....like the color of the future dragon and she has been in all the books.

All his other stuff that he's confirmed has come true.... he isn't one of those writers that lies to his fans. When he doesn't want to reveal something he just says " I can't answer that". 2. what important part can it play? the dragon will be so small it would be killed almost instantly by galby or murtagh, there is no time for it to grow bigger (cuz galby is pressing down on the varden hard), even if arya was the rider, the dragon would still have to train (as saphira had to train with glaedr, and etc.

The varden will do whatever it takes to win. That was proven when Nasuada told her magicians to copy Galbatorix's magic of making his solders unable to feel pain. They would rather not do it but if they have to than they will.

Unless the dragon hatches in the epilogue, and serves as a sign, it will be a liability, it will be useless, worse than that, they will have ot waste time & men protecting it and everything else, it will have to hach after the "Great" battle at least.

Saphira wasn't useful to Eragon other than as a freind, she hatched in the middle of nowhere and wasn't in immediate danger. She was safe, so she could do what she wanted untill she grew, it took her months to grow large enough to carry Eragon. The green dragon will be useless because they have to protect him, he will be proaably unable to out fly danger therefore useless.

Then by the last part of that argument, Saphira shouldn't have been able to catch those(or that) bird(s), which had more experience flying.

No he wouldn't kill it, because Saphira will only mate with the green dragon. He doesn't want to kill off the dragons, so Saphira has great power over him. He doesn't want to alienate her any more than he has, and she won't mate with Thorn because she hates him, and Shruikin is too old.

Their bond is nowhere near as strong, Eragon didn't hurt when Arya hurt, therefore that dosn't really apply.
