I agree with Saphira102, they ARE NOT going to get married. Remember in Eldest, they don't get married, they do some kind of ritual and stay with them for as long as they want and then when they have a kid that is the untimate sign of love.

I myself feel that eragon SHOULD BE TOGETHER with arya. The reason why shouldn't?? Well...

1. Arya affraid that she falls in love she'll care for eragon more than she care for her people or the varden which is imposible, since Arya's the best female ever.

2. Eragon affraid that if they get together, empire can use her to split eragon focus or to blackmail eragon to surrender umm... no different, eragon are in love with arya and this kind of blackmail maybe still works eventhough they're not going steady ARE you going to believe that Eragon could be blackmailed !!??

3. Arya's stronger and wiser then Eragon if this true, she's the one who should defeat galbatorix, not Eragon.

4. Arya affraid that if she falls in love and then Eragon get killed, she'll feel miserable sorrow .... (fill the blank yourself)

5. Arya suffered from a pain or a horible truth so she denied her feelings towards eragon, so eragon won't hurt much if the truth reveals ....

6. They won't get a blessing from Islanzadi; or human cannot "married" an elf or because their biological structure are different they can't have children ???

As much as I dislike the pairing, I think they will get together. As it has previously been said, elves take up mates, they don't get married. I feel so sorry for Eragon; this is his first relationship experience and he falls for a woman that looks in her twenties, when she is really in her late seventies. I see her trying to do the right thing, but I suspect she does have honest feelings for Eragon.

they can't get maried because arya is much more older then eragon and the elfs don't get married and rarely have kids. and eragon loves arya, she like him but not accept his love; only his friendship. and even if eragon in "eragon 2" transformed into a half elf half human they are still very diferent. so they won't get married

Sadly, it doesn't matter what we think. It may be that he decides to get them together, after all that's what all the evidence is pointing towards. On the other hand, he closed Eldest leading us to believe Morzan is Eragon's father, but left so many clues out there that suggest Brom can be his father instead of Morzan. So I just don't know what to think anymore. It can go both ways in any of the two cases. When it comes to Arya and Eragon, we have no alternate choice for a partner. I cannot see him falling for Nasuada, and what other female do we know of noble birth?

1. Elves in this period of time don't stay together forever all the time. I doubt it would hurt her that much with this in mind.

2. Saphira wouldn't let her kill Eragon. Saphira would kill Arya before she let that happen.

No Ajihad was just the leader, Nasuada could be of Noble birth but I'm not positive. Arya would be ok but she would probably die before eragon though. Even though they both have long life-spans she is still much much older than him so they could or could not. We'll have to wait for CP to finish the next book.

Well teachnically Ajahid (spelling?) is a king so yeah, Nausauada is of noble birth but who was Nausauada's mother?

Maybe her mother was Selena, so she is Eragon's half sister (so he has a half brother and sister) so Nasuada is the last rider. It all fits the pattern Selena had 3 different children with 3 different men-

Selena+Morzan= Murtagh
Selena+Brom= Eragon
Selena+Ajihad= Nasuada

but then her skin would be lighter then ajihads and i though they had the same colour skin
