I do not recomend it. Personally, I was very disappointed. I read the book before I saw the movie and I saw almost nothing similar. If the names had been different I would not have recognized the book at all! In the beginning of the movie, Saphira flies up into the sky and poof! she is full grown. Also Tierm is a small little village. They forgot many characters including Solumbum (Who plays a major part in the third book). Two more things that annoyed me were that the Razak were bug creatures (So week Eragon kills one with a branch) and that Brom died jumping in the way to save Eragon from being killed by Durza. Overall I would call this an OK movie but it has nearly nothing to do with the book.

They just took about three scenes from the book and put it into one for the movie, saving time. There are so many things wrong with the movie, I can't even list them anymore. Mom PVR'd the movie a few weeks ago and I tried watching it again, but it wasn't happening. Re: THE MOVIE! (talk about it) I've tried several times to watch the movie and enjoy it, but it just doesn't happen. I simply cannot sit there without becoming infuriated by what the writers did to the story.

Re: THE MOVIE! (talk about it) I would tend to agree, but the movie was mostly good...the only problem I see is Saphira. I mean come on, she has feathers on her wings! Its supposed to be membrane, not feathers. *scowls*
