Skills: Fern’s skills are quite simple. First, she is very skilled at using a bow and quiver. While her brother Dyron is usually working on some project for someone she is the one that goes off into the Spine and hunts for the family. She practices the bow every other day.

She is also good at sword fighting. She and her brother practice this skill everyday before sundown. She wanted to know this way of fighting because she wants to help protect and she wants to show that girls can be just as good as guys at stuff like that. Dyron made her sword by hand.

Her best skill is drawing and panting. She can draw a picture of just about anything you ask for. She usually will do this while she is out in the Spine or in the forest by their house. While in the Spine she will go to the waterfall and sneak into a secret place behind it.

Character Personality: Fern is sweet and kind. She is patient and slow to anger. She also has a knack at making people smile. If you are down or sad or frustrated with something she is there to help before you can say lickity split. Even thought she is very sweet she can still be very firm if needed to be. She will do this if she see’s a child doing something they are not supposed to be. She is very competitive when it comes to fighting, especially when she is fighting a guy. She likes to show them that girls can be just as good as a guy at doing stuff. She likes to tell herself that one day she will become a dragon rider and help people who are in trouble and be useful. She can't help but feel like she has no destany or use in this large world. She also loves to read and write, when she isn’t drawing. On her own time she will read one of her favorite books or maybe one she has never read before or she will write poems and songs. She tells her wercat friend, Brielle, that she is very lonely and none of it has to do with her brother. She loves to listen to Elder folks stories and memories from when they were young.

Character History: When fern was born a bright icy blue meteorite flew above the small village. What did it mean? lillyanna and Adrian knew they would never know and that their time on earth was going to gone before they knew it. just before Fern was one year old, Adrian had gone off to war. After Fern had turned one they all found out that Adrian had died. Lillyanna went into a depression state. So her sister Jina decided to take Fern away for the child's protection. Jina did not take ten year old Dyron from the village because Lillyanna would not let her take him, and he would not leave. It took Jina a long time to get Dyron to let go of his little sister. He didn't want her to go. Eventually Jina got Fern out of the house and they went to live in Tierm.

After eight years of living in Tierm Fern had become a beautiful young and very smart too. She never knew she had a brother or mother in carvahall for Jina never told her anything about them and she never asked. The next thing she knew her older brother sent a letter saying her mother was sick and she wanted to see her daughter one more time before she died. She was confused and mad at her aunt for not telling her anything. She would not go until Jina forced her to come with her.

On the way to Carvahall they were attacked by bandits and Fern was taken by them. Fern never knew what happened to Jina for she never saw her again. The bandits locked her in a dark room. She was never afraid of the darkness because she was used to sneaking out at night, but when they came back, they had a snake and it bit her arm. The bandits knew that the snake was poisonous and that’s how they were going to kill the girl. She was frightened and she was in pain.

Suddenly Dyron Came and rescued her, but in the process the bandits sent the whole hideout in flames. Fern fell unconscious and eighteen year old Dyron dragged her out safely. He took her the rest of the way home. At home Fern was cared for and she finally regained consciousness. She looked up into the eyes of her brother and instantly knew who he was and trusted him. He took her to Lillyanna whom was kind and tired. During the eight years that the family was separated Lillyanna had become ill because of her depression of loosing two family members. After about two hours Lilly died. Dyron led Fern to a room with a small fake smile before walking into his room for the night. Fern could here him crying.

After about nine years of living with her now twenty-six year old brother she became a beautiful strong girl. She never knew her mother so she didn't really spend any time on the subject, but she did feel bad about her brother whom was having a hard time and she could only cheer him up on his good days. Then one day she went into the Spine for hunting. Feeling sad about her brother she looked up at the starry sky. A voice inside her head started talking to her. She looked around ready for anything and a large cat came into view. They talked and thought and shared feelings. Finally Brielle, the wercat, told Fern that Dyron just needed some time. After that talk they became friends and whenever Fern would go out into the Spine they would meet and talk during the night and catch food during the day till the time when she would have to leave for home.

She lives a good life and she wouldn't trade anything to change it. Her brother is the only person she now looks up to. [Other then the dragon riders.]

Weapons: First she has an Elvan made bow. That was the only object Dyron had not made her, but had bought it off an elvan traveler.

Her sword is a normal sword that Dyron had made for her. The sword was made with Platinum metal. On the sword were the words, ‘A smile is the best type of cure.’ Dyron found the metal in a cave when he was escaping the Bandits.

She also carries two daggers just in case she needs back up.

Likes: Fern likes to Draw, read, and write poems. Her favorite place is the Spine [where a small meadow is] and her favorite times of day are sunset and nightfall because its the mellow and peacefull time of day. it gives her time to do the stuff she loves to do.

Dislikes: She is afraid of snakes and fire.

Animal Companions: She has a wercat friend named Brielle. She is black with a cresant moon on her chest. She later finds a white dragon named Shadowfacts [cedit to tolken]

Character's Physical Description: Fern is beautiful and slender. She has long golden blond hair that ends at her waist. Her eyes are a deep blue. She is strong in will and in strength. She has a well built body. She is 5 1/2 ft in hieght and 100 lbs in weight. She has light soft skin. She is very healthy and no where neer getting very sick. She is always ready for action. She has a scar on her arm where the snake bit her and a few scars from the fire. Later when she becomes a dragon rider she has a rider simbol on the palm of her right hand.

Dreams for the Future: She hopes she will be able to go off and be with her heros the dragon riders and find her true destany.

Reason for Dreams: She feels useless at home and wants to be useful not just to her brother.

History: While Shadowfacts was still in his egg he was dropped on the way to Ellismera. He was dropped in the spine while Fern was hunting one day. It was night time so Fern and Brielle were talking about their catch of the day. They were suprised too see a white dragon egg fall from the sky not too far off. They went looking for it and found it in a patch of grass. Fern didn't know what it was at first until Brielle told her in a fasinated tone. Fern was very suprised but she didn't know what to do with it. So she took it to her brother, Dyron to show it to him, but this time Brielle followed her. She showed it to Dyron and he seemed shocked. The next thing they knew the whole village knew about it. How did that happen? And is that bad?

Personality: Shadowfacts is kind and smart. He is alot like Fern in the being only firm and not angry very much. He can get like this if Fern decides to do something stupid or someone else does the same thing. Being a dragon he loves to fly through the sky and clouds. He admits he feels kind of lonely at times, but also admits that he would feel jealous if Fern found someone. He cares for Fern alot and would trade nothing or no one to be leave her. He tells her that he chose her for her heart for her brother and the world and determination.

Appearance: Shadowfacts Is completely white except for his eyes witch seem to be a violet somehow. He tells Fern that its the only color he has to be proud of since white isn't a color. He has spikes going down his neck to his tail, except the very middle of his back.

Dreams for future: His dream for the future is to help Fern find her destany.

Reasons for dreams: cause if Fern finds her destany then he will be fullfilling his. He believes his destany is to always be there for Fern.
