okay, so here are some lyrics i have written.



now, im sure there is a topic on here somewhere that you can post your lyrics on, and i would like it to be stated that i am in NO WAY disrespecting that topic or SF for that matter, and that im NOT trying to be some spasmodic jerk creating a new topic just to be a jerk, but this is different:



1) these lyrics are special to me for 1. ive never written songs before. 2. its for the book im writing
2) i actually want YOU to comment about them and tell me stuff you think i should change. stuff that i should of done or shouldn't of done

its funny where i came up with these lyrics.....at a NASCAR race....strangest place......



um, these lyrics probly wont make sense unless you read my book, so.....you can either read the book (please?) or you can just read the lyrics.....

i should have these to music soon (as soon as school will let sit down long enough and write the music for it)

@Toph: no, i havent written them to music yet.....im working sooooooo hard on it, but im not getting much time with school and stuff. and its so hard to write music to lyrics.....i mean, ive written my own music before, but with no lyrics, and thats easy, cuz you can do whatever you want with the music and it makes no difference. but actually writing a song that sounds like the lyrics is.....hard.

or i know how to put music to just chords, but i dont have any chords for this.....


so, do any of you know how to put music to lyrics?

yeah, i have the tune.....i just cant find the notes that correspond with them on the piano.....

Theyre wonderful sj. Now for the music, you need to find your tune. How do the words flow off your tongue? Ask yourself questions like those and you'll find the notes. Especially if its on a piano.

oh, yeah. i had the tune when i first started writing them (at a NASCAR race.....lol, that still cracks me up).....




i wish there was a way i could show yall how i sing it (even though im a very very terrible singer.....haha.) and then maybe somehow somebody could tell me like what the music is or something......cuz im very inexperienced with lyrics.....like i said, ive written just reg. music before, but not lyrics and music......

yeah, thanx......well, im still tryin', but its hard with school and everything.....

not rly.....i teach some kids piano on saturdays, and then sometimes i perform stuff on sundays.....

and its a kinda fast song, which is in real contrast to the type of song it is......

probly i will have other instruments, but the music for them would have to be written by someone who actually plays those instruments.



and yes, my ear is trained to how the notes sound, but i cant rly hear what note it is when i sing it myself.....1. its hard to hear yourself. 2. i cant sing.

well, my brother is good with the guitar, but hes still learning....other than that, all my friends rly dont do instruments, but i am teaching some of them how to play piano......idk, ill figure it out somehow......

yeah. funny how i never mention him......hmmmmm, i wonder why?

yeah, something like that, but i dont know anybody who plays those.....and i dont know what notes to write for them, especially since i dont know the notes for my own instrument......and yes, i would prefer not to sing.......

sj, hey I'd offer to play the drums but we're on opposite sides of the US!! haha! I can play the drums, guitar, piano and I can sing. So I'm pretty good with music.

well, not rly the opp. side of the US......persay. ur more like central US and im eastern US.....so more like adjacent US.....lol, there goes trig into my talking......

Oh Sj. I couldn't get to the piano last weekend so its still in only word format. I have to record me singing it though.... it might not sound good because I'm getting sick and I bit through my tongue.... 3 times...... so it might slur a little.
