Fall 2006 would have been a good date, but I think we should think at something in 2007. It would give CP more time to work on the book.

i think hell have pleanty of time unless he gets writer block cuz the only reason it took him so long 2 get eldest out wuz cuz he waz trying 2 publish eragon himselfi think a yr will be enough time

2007 if it takes that long i dont know what ill do! I chewwed threw book 1 and 2 in a week (i was an addict) then i relized that there wasnt a new book i was CRUSHED if it comes out in 2007 i will probably read the other books 20 times threw

i waited 1 yr but still it wuz a long wait

i had to fight my sisters to read Eragon
and then i read it over and over until eldest came out : D

are you serius? i was like reading book 1 without stop i mean i didn't have anything but like a billion other books to entertain me than now i got this website thats why im not done with book 2.

Man 2007 is a long time to wait but CP better make it worth wile. That's what i say anyway. In the mean time i'll just be sitting typing and chating at this forum. I'm so glad i found it, too. it gives me something to do.

i remember when i wait 12 months for eldest, there were times i feel very everytime i finished re-read eragon or some chapter of it. It's just like i wanted to fly up to CP's house and knock on his window and say "hello, have u finished it?" lol

me and my friend thought that since eragon reached an incredible sales rating, CP might be didn't expect it and he must be very careful while writing the 2nd book. And now he knew that ppl arround d world waiting for 3rd book i have this feeling that the book 3 will be published a little longer than "just" 12 months. First, for the best result/ story. Second, to hold ppl curiousity --> u'know, for selling the book..

It will most likly be at least 2 years from now....

NOOO! Now I have to wait even longer? Well, at least the new Abarat book comes out next year...

Well nothing is for sure, and there are no rumors because CP hasn't even finished it! He can't know exactly when he will, so I guess we just have to wait and see.

i think this fall or early 2007

Eldest was released a month after Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince last year. This was a truly cunning saleswise action even if it was not intened (or was it?) but at least it gave me a chance to digest what happend in HP-6. It gave me the time to move away from it to only go into a frenzy with Eldest.
So many questions and "what if's". So it may be a good thing to release book 3 after the last Potter installment. As for me, I cannot wait for either one. Any time is too long for me!
