OOC: Sry Star, but I just HAVE to reply to this.

IC: Eriel's eyes went wide as Aeraldi said that elves helped him nullify Feafnir's enchantment. "You lie, not even our most evil of villains would imagine helping one such as you, you take joy only in the slaying of others and causing pain." Emrhyst growled in anger at Aeraldi's words and pounced onto him as he finished his last sentence.

OOC: Huh? Was the first part referrin to me or...

OOC: Ah ok. Tks for clarrifiyin

OOC: And now we're waiting for Aeraldi right?

IC: Nothing really, a trifle. Oh and Eriel, you don't have to worry about those Elves helping another.
Aeraldi laughed at his own little quirk.
Aeraldi still didn't have enough energy to take back the body. He listened to the talk happening, and shed a tear as he told of the lives sacrificed.
Aeraldi saw the attack coming from his right and jumped out of the way.
It'll take more than that to stop me. But I always love a good fight. But you distract me from what I was about to do. My gift to you Faefnir is this;
With that Aeraldi flew up and touched Faefnir on his head.
Aeraldi was scared for his own safety, he didn't know what his alter ego was doing. As soon as he touched Faefnir on his head he realised. He didn't have malice in his heart here, he was merely showing him what it felt like. To be him.

OOC: Aeraldi, it's ur turn.

OOC: It took me so long to write this, writers block to begin with but after that it just flowed.

Aye, but what if you had to release it all day after day, to let it loose! The massacre!
Aeraldi shook his head and took a deep breath.
I think it's best if my other side explains this... I'm not particularly well at controlling my urges.
Aeraldi shook slightly, there wasn't much pain this time.
When his scales changed colors he was standing calmly.
Yes you keep your anger in check, so it doesn't let itself loose. But your anger does not think. My other side has his emotions just as I have mine. Some days he's just tired of it all of fighting everything. After you gave the enchantment he became so angry you wouldn't understand. It was not just an anger for life but for death. You tormented him so far that he wished for death. Only my guidance helped him stay alive... And to make sure he didn't take his anger out on you. We agreed that we needed to break the spell as we couldn't survive with it in place.
Aeraldi shuddered with remembered pain.
We secluded ourselves and tried to merge. We needed magic that only our combined form could produce.
At that point Aeraldi couldn't bear to look at Faefnir.
We merged all right, but not completely. Our form was... horrible! We got the power we needed but at too high a price. We share parts of each other now, and that is decaying me more rapidly. His temperament is now less volatile while mine has increased. Its not actually a bad arrangement, we can bear to talk to each other now, on things that aren't mere necessity. However, because of your act of 'compassion' that you gave to me we lived in torment and pain! Our life became our own hell!

Your ears are open yet you hear nothing! My death is coming more swiftly now than ever before. Even now I can feel the magic in my veins expending itself!
Aeraldi took a deep breath and visibly took control of himself. His claws gripping the ground beneath him.
I must change now, be nice to my other side.
Aeraldi closed his eyes and trembled while his magic took ahold of itself.
His scales turned to black and he inhaled a deep breath.
So if you got any other bright ideas I'll be glad to not listen to them.

Faefnir mulled over this carefully. Give me some time to meditate about this. I must think. Faefnir then turned onto a lonesome stone outcropping and sat down. He looked beyond the horizon and passed into his trance.

OOC: In other words, I need to think of what to do next. I haven't figured it out yet.

Eriel looked at Aeraldi with pity, she then proceeded to Feafnir and waved a hand infront of his face. She sighed and laid down on the grass, as she turned, she noticed Murtagh was gone. "Err... guys, where's Murtagh?"

OOC: -Pass turn.

OOC: -Pass turn

IC: Emrhyst roared lightly. A little volleyball wouldn't hurt.

Separate bodies?
Aeraldi thought about it.
There's a good chance that doing that may kill us.
More than good, more like certain. Remember undoing that spell? When we came across ours.
Yes... I do remember that.
I don't think that the magic can sustain two separate bodies. Its having enough trouble with two minds in one body.
True. Well, if anything, I'm glad I'm stuck with you.
Ha ha. I know you can't stand me, but we do equal each other out.

Aeraldi's body shook again and his scales turned to white.
Faefnir, I'm sorry but we can't. We would be destroyed. But, I have a way to prolong our lives for the meanwhile.
Aeraldi walked towards the great dragon.
I need to be brought to the brink of death. I need to be so damaged that only my other side's fury and my healing power only can bring me back to life. We have to separate our minds again.

Faefnir sighed. If it is what you really want.... I won't interfere. Faefnir then turned around so he couldn't see the bloodshed.

OOC: pass turn.

Aeraldi quivered in pain. Along his right flank a tear in his scales opened up, pouring out a liquid that seemed to give off its own light.
It's starting! Kill me now!
Aeraldi's scales shifted and gave a patch of black.
You have to kill me! It won't work if I do it. Aeraldi sent to everyone.

OOC: Thats fine. But i have to have a go now.

Aeraldi felt the claw slice through his scales and as the life ebbed from him he said to himself;
It was nice being you.
Same to you.
Aeraldi's conciousness drifted apart, separating both of their personalities. For a brief moment both dragons could be seen in the exact same place. They both shuddered, rose their heads in unison and looked at the sky. A glimpse of a shadow could be seen for but a moment. Then a line of light was sent from his head to his tail which collided their consciousnesses together with a force that sent a shock wave outwards from his body. His body faded to a grey and he opened his eyes.

The greyness faded from his body and left as a black. Aeraldi took a deep breath then breathed normally. He was sleeping peacefully.

OOC-pass turn.

IC: Emrhyst gaped as she saw the liquid ooze out of Aeraldi. She sighed lightly and lay on the grass, watching him silently.

OOC: pass turn.

Faefnir kept his back turned, although he could feel the life departing Aeraldi. He tried his best not to shed tears.

Aeraldi kept flying, determined to get to his destination.

OOC: can you explain to me what just occurred? is he dead or is he just in another place?

OOC: Ok Star killed him. Then a little incident where his minds split then fused together again. Then after he woke up again he woke up and started flying back to the forest just below the Beors. If you have read the last paragraph of my bio hes going back to the Old sorcerer.

Faefnir suddenly realized where Aeraldi was going. Girls. Follow me please. I know where he's going. Faefnir then swiftly took off and started pursuing Aeraldi.

OOC: its been a little while but are we going to continue this or did i screw it up?

OOC: Oh, I'm sorry. I thought it was Eriel's turn. this'll be a pass turn.

Faefnir could see the Beor Mountains getting closer and then he understood for a fact where they were going. Girls, let's stay out of sight. I have a feeling this is a personal journey for him. He didn't want to intrude on Aeraldi, he was just curious about him.

Aeraldi approached the area where the cot was supposed to be. His scales quickly turned white whilst in mid flight, and he landed. He walked around sniffing the air then after a small while jumped off towards the mountains. It was cleverly hidden the cot, in the midst of a ticket of trees, yet open to the rest of the forest. Aeraldi ran single mindedly to the cot, unaware of the eyes from a certain golden dragon staring at him from the sky. He nudged the door open with his snout, the door opening with a whisper. An old lady sat in a chair next to the window, slowly rocking back and forth. She didn't move or even look as Aeraldi entered the house and sat down on the floor. They sat for a few minutes until the old lady finally stirred and said in a raspy voice;
"So much for not being disturbed, but I am glad that you decided to visit. Aeraldi."
I am sorry, the gift you gave me has helped me through the times but I could never repay you.
"I thought this home was the payment. Or was it simply a diversion while you gallivanted around looking for a true measure of thanks."
You know me even when you have not seen me. I learned things during my time, and have finally discovered a way to help you. Aeraldi lent forward and touched the lady on her arm, letting his magic flow into her.
No more pain, no more suffering and no more evil. I give back the part of you that you gave, I have learnt to accomplish the task on my own.
She smiled and looked at Aeraldi with a kindness that a mother would show to her child. She looked as if she was teetering on the edge of some great cliff being held back only by Aeraldi's strength. Now nothing held her and she was able to fly. She closed her eyes, her head resting against the chair and gave her final breath. Though she was human, she was as noble a being as any he had met. He walked out of the hut slowly. When he looked back he dove into his power and gave her her final resting place. The vines and branches closed shut and sank into the ground. The only trace that she was even there was the tree that grew there now. Stronger and more beautiful than the others surrounding it.

Aeraldi jumped into the air, his full senses returning to him. He flew up to Faefnir, stopping just before him.
This place shall not be disturbed. Not by man, elf, dwarf, urgal or any other creature. I am sorry for all that I have done. Let us be on our way.

IC: Something that needed to be done. For both of us. She was the only creature that showed me... Us, compassion. She didn't even blink an eye when my other side came through. She just gave me a gift beyond any other. Without expecting anything in return. She did exactly what you did, giving me a part of herself. I had to return what was hers. She lived because I couldn't let go, in a state between life and death. Aeraldi was crying for the loss of his dear friend.
She was more to us than anything else. Even if he won't admit it. I have done what had to be done. Please, let us leave this place.

Aeraldi flew hesitantly towards the others, knowing what he had done to them. He didn't regret what he said, he didn't even regret what his other side said. He only regretted that he couldn't help them when they needed it, that he had turned his back on them. He stood alone now. And he had to live with that.

OOC: Well she hasn't been on in ages. Anything happened to her?

I don't know. I guess we'll just and see. She sure to have some sort of reasonable explanation.

IC: Emrhyst flew back to Star just as anxiety clouded her face. Anything wrong Star? I heard what Feafnir said, and its unnerving about being cursed and all...

Curse? Maybe. Aeraldi never considered it a curse. But now he thought about it, the idea repelled him.
No, it's not a curse. You can call it what you will, but nobody inflicted this pain upon me. I... Aeraldi couldn't continue, his feelings within him were confusing and wrong. He couldn't believe that some being was punishing him.
Now I think of it I couldn't imagine a life without my other side. Although my suffering is large, I wouldn't have it any other way. Besides the whole being one being. I... I L- Aeraldi couldn't say the next word, because his other side would never treat him the same again.
What we have, can never be tamed or controlled. You have to make it a part of yourself because if you don't it will eat at your soul.
Aeraldi was saying these words almost subconsciously. When he realised what he said, he understood what was happening to him.

Emrhyst watched as Star ascended then sped up towards Aeraldi, looking at the small but wise dragon. So... tell me more about....Him... Emrhyst asked him softly. Its okay if you don't want to. she hastily added

No Faefnir. You can never control it even slightly. Aeraldi hated saying this, but it had to be spoken. He was surprised at Eriel's question though, having never in his life had anyone ask about him.
What can I say? Aeraldi said gathering up his courage. He's my opposite, put bluntly, we rarely agree on anything. Although neither side of me is 'good' or 'evil' both are just the made up images warriors use to justify their actions. You see me as 'good' because I enjoy a flight in the open air, making pieces of art and the like. My other side simply likes battling, he takes enjoyment in testing his physical and mental state. Although he does do things that are 'distasteful' to most. Aeraldi kept flying in a half-conscious state. His mind was scattered still and he was having a hard time keeping this thoughts in line.
I could tell you a story of how in the very beginning of the dragons the black and white dragons fought for each of their separate views on life. My life was the union of both colors, because they couldn't afford destroying each other any longer. I used to be my whole then, my life going along as any of the 'wild' dragons would have. But the beliefs, passed on through our instincts, were incompatible. Eventually, I was born from the soul of that shattered dragon.

Faefnir didn't say anything, he decided to let Aeraldi and Eriel talk. He also had a feeling that Star was still a little mad at him.

OOC: Its Emrhyst... But I'll make it Eriel, so everyone's right.

IC: Eriel sighed softly. "It must be tough living with your opposite in the same body..." She looked at him again. "The black and white dragons... Do they still exist?" She asked then noticed Star land. "Should we descend yet? Star's down there." Emrhyst looked ahead and saw a flock of birds approaching, flying very low. Spies... She muttered

Only their descendants exist now, I wouldn't be surprised if one of you were descended from my family. Aeraldi lingered on the word. Family, what is it to me now? Does it mean Aeraldi? Or these beings I have trusted with my life? His conclusion to that thought would come at a later date though, as Emrhyst announced the coming of the low-flying birds.
I need you now, my brother. Aeraldi almost laughed at the term being applied to his other side.
Indeed you do. Aeraldi held his wings straight, hoping that he could glide while changing. It was a good thing that Aeraldi had the same idea. The scales changed hesitantly but Aeraldi managed stayed in flight.

Faefnir nodded and rumbled in his chest. After you, Aeraldi. He patiently waited for Aeraldi to make the first move.

Aeraldi didn't know whom to attack. The birds of the large dragon. So he bided his time.
