*sigh* I am not to good with relationships. Actually a lot of girls (well in my mind a lot since it is a small school) "like" me. But for some odd reason I only like girls that don't like me, ha ha. I don't like the ones you can make love you, I like the ones that decide they love you (I guess, I don't know how to put it?)

So I have this crush on a girl across the street. We play ditch (I swear we never get tired of it, any time, any place, any age) every night almost. Shes cool, and athletic (were like = in running, soccer, and basketball!) but her friends like me so whoopedy do.

anyway, agreed with the wise lady above. you stated that you do like this fine lass who asked you out, so give it a shot. maybe you'll find out that you two really hit it off. and be sure to listen to your lady friend, it can help make a person feel cared for. or what I mean is it helps show it. =)

Meh. I'm single. I'm just kinda floating right now. There's no one that I can really say I really like, but there is this one girl that likes me. She's wanted to date me for a while, but I've been kinda uncomfortable with the thought. I spent a week at church camp hanging out with her, and it wasn't uncomfortable at all. She's cool and all, I just...I dunno. Part of me just wants to wait til I KNOW I want to date a girl, and part of me just wants to be in a relationship. I feel schizophrenic. lol.

Anyway, that's the update of my pathetic 'love life.'

Meh. Is there even such a thing in the world we live in today?

Yeah, really. I'm being really careful right now because I did get too involved. I fell really hard for the wrong type of girl and got myself in trouble with her. Then she graduates (yes, she was a senior this past year) and moves two hundred miles away and the relationship just goes to hell. It was really tough. But, they say you can't get to heaven if you don't go through a little bit of Hell first.

You fight. Find something to hold onto. Stay afloat on the river of fire that you're going through, and just fight to see another day and find another love. If you think about it, there are like three trillion people on this ball of rock we call Earth. You won't even meet 1/398543rd of them. That's still one hell of a lot of people, and one hell of a lot of chances at true, perfect love. I'm not saying there is more than one true love, I'm just saying that there are a LOT of chances at finding it in our short lives. Don't ruin that by settling or dwelling on the past failures. See them as stepping stones or building blocks to knowing what you want and searching for it.

Yeah? That's good. I'm glad I helped. That's just my true view on the whole love thing. I didn't know I could go that in-depth about it though. lol.

Forget them. Drop their names in the dirt and stomp on them until you can't recognize them anymore. Ex's should be just that: crossed out of your more personal thoughts like a bad draft. They no longer matter in the sense of love and such. Focus on Sid, and forget the rest and all the drama that they might make.

Somebody's gotta protect the commonfolk from their own minds. lol. I just figured I could help out a friend in need. Plus, there's so much suffering in the world that if I could just stamp out a little bit at a time, maybe I could help make the world a better place.

You're human. (I hope) The toughest thing most people deal with is past relationships. It happens. It's good to learn early that you've just gotta shrug it off, cuz doing so could possibly save years of broken trust and pain. The worst thing to lose in life is trust, and unfortunately there are all too many people out there willing to just strip it all away.

On the note of past relationships, I now feel like I am the only guy on this planet without a girlfriend because all my friends are dateing and (actually Wil, I can compare with you. THis girl has wanted to date me for a while and shes cool but I just don't know, but in my case, its because there is another girl) now one of my best friends is dating my ex. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy he finally found someone, but I did dump her within three days because she became whacko. She tells all the boys the same crap,"I think I love you, you know. I even had a dream about you." Blah blah blha. Now this girl I don't even know (well 2 actually) asked me out, which was interesting. But I figured something out, all the girls right now just want a boyfriend. BLAH. Keep you posted.

Don't worry, Aorian. I don't have a girlfriend either. I don't even go out looking for a girlfriend or even try to get into a relationship. Hope that makes you feel better. I have been in a "relationship" before, but it's just...kinda best-friends in the world now. Of course, not all ex-girlfriends and ex-boyfriends are bad. Some people just realize that they aren't compatible with each other and break up peacefully.

Well certainly not been here in a long while, well I have a girlfriend called Eidann, and we have been going out for 13 months today atm she is away in italy on holiday so I miss her Don't know what to say really

Well, when I was saying I was patient I wasn't meaning being over patient for that someone. I'm just really patient overall. I act myself everyday, just my social problems make it seem like I don't act like myself.

I find it interesting that this topic has been here forever and i just now decide to read it. It can be rough finding the right person and it is easier or harder depending on your personality. I think those of us who are single get into a pattern that actually works against us when it comes to relationships at times. We have a list of wants / needs that we find fulfilled with a partner, but at the same time those needs sometimes cloud judgement for doing the right thing, or falling for every person you meet that you take interest. (friends is an option!!!) lol. Its just an interesting cycle.

Sums up my love life in a nutshell, lol.

Another thing i've noticed is that we are either the person being pursued or the pursuer.

It seems the chances of you finding what you want are more likely if you are the pursuer and you meet more people in the long run, but it also makes yourself more vulnerable because you are putting yourself out there and always the one taking risks in making that first move. Rejection is the biggest thing you face.

If your waiting for someone to pursue you there are equally some advantages and disadvantages. The advantages being that you know the person who ends up pursuing you already likes you if not already thinks they can fall in love with you. The disadvantage is that a huge chunk of the people that are going to like you are going to break your moral code of standards for what is ok and not ok to date.

So it then becomes the latter. The one main thing you may notice is that the pursuer usually has the best communication skills and the easiest time attaching to the other person, but has the hardest time keeping a long term relationship because they subconsciously don't know what they want.

The pursued on the other hand doesn't always have the best communication skills which is why they wait for someone to find them and they usually are more likely to succeed in a long term relationship because they know what they want., but may have trouble communicating it.

This doesn't categorize everyone to a T, but it comes close. You just have to be careful.

Communication and Long term do go hand in hand, but either side has its down fall because most never have both.
