Arnon & Tamar
Name: -Arnon
Age: -134
Gender: -Male
Skills: Control of Shadows-As a shade, Arnon has perfect control over shadows. This ability does not take any energy, but he loses some of what is left of his humanity when he uses this ability. It is very dangerous. This is his most powerful ability; though he likes it he does not use it unless he sees no other way out of the situation. He can manipulate shadows into many forms, but this ability is not yet fully developed. He uses this only as a last resort and sometimes considers it cowardly.
Swordplay- Arnon is a skilled swordsman. He is deadly with his blood red blade and its black steel outline. He is very fast and powerful with a sword. He was taught by other shades, though he was always just a little faster, because he was bonded with a dragon. He doesn't have any skill with a blade other than his own. He refuses to fight with any other blade.
Magic- Arnon was unable to use magic, until he became a rider. He is decently skilled in magic, though he is nothing special at it. What makes him good is his creativeness with his spells. Also are his relentless attacks. He can speak the Ancient Language as fluent as the elves. He specializes in magic, having to do with silent death and magic to do with certain types of wards. He specializes in those against physical attacks and arrow defenses.
Race: -Shade/Rider
Hair: -Red
Eyes: -Black
Home Village: -Unknown he was found and kept by traveling shades as a child.
Parents: -Unknown he was found by shades.
Siblings: -None
Character Personality: Arnon is merciless. He takes great pleasure in the suffering and pain of others, well other than his dragon. He cares for no one other than himself and his dragon, Tamar. He is very smart and thinks his way out of sticky situations. He loves to make his enemies look like fools, and then kill them slowly. He is most dangerous when he is smiling. He is very kind to Tamar, but only to Tamar. He treats practically everyone else, other than Tamar like dirt. He respects no one but demands respect from all others. He does not take "constructive criticism" very well at all. He has killed many who told him that he was wrong in something. He takes pride in killing, it doesn't really matter to him whether they were armed or not, whether they were women, children, old men, or men of fighting age, he counts them all the same. He hates people like Galbatorix who just hide behind armies and such and likes nothing better than a good brawl. He loves Tamar with all his "heart". He has something about him that makes him different from other shades. He has a sense of honor. He may kill anything that moves, but he does not desecrate the bodies. He doesn't like to harm black or red dragons. He hates when people make fun of Tamar, because she is in his eyes the most perfect dragon ever to be born. He is a very jealous person and hates when Tamar is around others, though he would like for Tamar to find a suitable mate so he could raise those dragons to help him in his world conquest. He likes for things to be a challenge, but hates when he fails over and over again. He is easily frustrated. He has a temper, but never loses his head. He is normally very calm and reserved, even in the process of killing someone of something. He has a very uncaring attitude toward his life, because he knows he will probably never die. He may hate something for defeating him, but secretly he will respect them for their valor and strength. His respect goes nothing further than that. He would still kill them if the chance came up. He thinks it disdainful to use magic against those who cannot.
Character History: Arnon never knew who his parents really were. The first thing he remembered was being taught and raised by some traveling shades. He was taught how to control shadows, of course after they made him a shade. They taught him the ways of the shades, what could and could not kill them. He grew up for fifteen years in this manner.
Until, one day when he was sent out on his own to see if he could fend for himself in the great desert, the Hadarac, Arnon stumbled upon a small red egg. He examined it with shadows and found that the shadows instead of being repelled by the egg's shell were absorbed into the egg. It was not long after that a small red dragon, Tamar hatched for Arnon. When Arnon looked into the dragon's eyes for the first time in is life, Arnon felt the desire to help someone the best he could. When he saw the hatchling, his first instinct was to see if it was ok, so he did. The shock that hit him was so great, he passed out, but when he woke up the next morning, the dragon was curled up on his chest and for some reason, instead of smoke, black fire came from its mouth and intermingled with it were shadows. It surprised him, but dismissed it because he was as far as he knew, the first shade rider ever to live.
Three weeks later, Arnon used shadow magic to change the color of his hair and that of his skin. Then, he traveled to Doru Areaba, there he was accepted into the ranks of the dragon riders and was given a teacher, by the name of Barac. Arnon and Tamar thought of him as an "ok" person, but he was many times mean to them. They trained under Barac for two years. But, in those two years Arnon rarely ever practiced his swordsmanship. It was almost always magic, which was Bane's specialty. Bane was a man of odd humor. What he thought was funny wasn't to anyone else. He loved to make fun of others. But, one time he made fun of Tamar's size, but he never lived to regret it. Immediately after the joke, Tamar leapt upon him and ferociously ripped Barac apart. Right after that, Arnon got out of his disguise and he and Thane were fugitives. They were forced to flee the rider's home on Doru Areaba and they fled into the great forest, Du Weldenvarden.
Once they made it to Du Weldenvarden, they helped each other find food and water, but also helped each other stay away from the elven search parties and the ever-present riders on patrol. But, these years were the years that they gained the most experience and power. Tamar gained her ability to control shadows and she became a shade-dragon. Tamar gained her ability to control shadows when he was in a fight with a truly monstrous cave bear. She was almost killed, until the shadows sprang up and killed the bear. Arnon was overjoyed when he heard of Tamar's new ability. That was when the plotting began, the plot to get a rider's sword. Arnon and Thane planned everything out, how they would get a sword and from whom they would get it. Then they set off to go to Ellesmera and Rhunon's house.
When they reached Ellesmera, three months later, the city was in the middle of its Fall Harvest celebration, there were elves and riders everywhere, singing, drinking, and just having a great time. Before they entered the city, Arnon and Tamar disguised themselves. Arnon changed the color of his hair to blond and his eyes to blue; Tamar changed the color of her scales to white and her eyes to silver. They entered the city, and to their luck, were given a room in Rhunon's house. It seemed that all the other homes were full and Rhunon was on a trip after having finished her latest masterpiece, a beautiful red sword with the blade black. It was perfectly balanced and awesomely beautiful. Arnon went to sleep that night, thinking about how he would steal the blade. The next morning, Arnon wokeTamarvery quietly. "Come on, time for us to get the sword and get out, I don't want to be here any longer than we have to be, something is up." Tamar just nodded her head in recognition. They silently snuck down the stairs and Arnon grabbed the sword, but the moment he did, something went off, it seemed that Rhunon had placed wards incase someone tried to steal the sword. Elves burst through the door and attacked both Arnon and Tamar. It was a hard fight, but in the end, luck and the sword won Tamar and Arnon the fight. They fled the elven city with other riders not far behind.
They fled all the way into the middle of the Hadarac Desert; there they lost their pursuers. They spent the next fifty years, barely surviving in the hot climate. They lived off of the small gazelle and deer that were native to the small mountains in the center of the great desert. Then, one day, Tamar came to Arnon and told him that she had found a small hole in the earth and that it leads into a land below Alagesia. Immediately, Arnon and Tamar left their temporary home and went into the hole. There they stayed in hiding for half a year. Then, they revealed themselves to the ogres and the goblins that lived there. They attacked the leading class of ogres and, with the goblin's help overthrew them. It was two years of hard fighting, but they finally got the throne. They were the worst tyrants, ever to rule the land below. They crushed any and all opposition, until a wild dragon came. It was a female, but the color, they never saw. She was always disguised, but she had powers over the forces of nature, that were amazing as well as terrifying. She led the rebel goblins and ogres and forced both Arnon and Tamar to flee for their lives. They barely escaped the land under Alagesia, but they did. Then, they moved on. They traveled to other lands killing and causing terror everywhere they went, but eventually, they came back and saw that a man around their age had taken over Alagesia, Galbatorix was his name. They decided then and there to in the future, kill him and take his throne and establish theirs forever.
Not long after he revealed himself to the inhabitance of Alagesia, Arnon met another shade by the name of Jareth. He met Jareth when a group of Galbatorix' soldiers stole Arnon's sword. Also, during that adventure, they were attacked by a large group of elves, but managed to escape with their lives.
Soon after that adventure, Arnon and Tamar met another shade, much older than Jareth, his name was Nilarek, the cowardly shade turned on them when two dragons, one by the name of Phalynx, a silver dragon with an odd fire, and almost the complete opposite of Tamar and a small, but very old dragon named Aeraldi attacked them. They managed to get away, but only barely.
Yet another adventure that Arnon and Tamar entered was when they flew over the Empire. They met a human named; Rezekiel, also Mesariah, Skygge, Reik, Fenirexes, and a crazy old man named Radwerth. Neither Arnon nor Tamar liked them, but they fought both with them and against them.
