i ve thought about it and found some possible pairing for book 3:
Eragon + Arya
Roran + Katrina (obv)
Murtagh + Nasuada (if he turns good)
Saphira + Greeny
Saphira + thorn
Saphira + Shurikan (if Shurikan male)
Thorn + Shurikan ( if Shurikan female)
Greeny + Shurikan (if Shurikan female)
Solembum + Maud
Does anyone else think these are possible?

maybe that could be possible i think it will be saphira and the green dragon.

Maybe eragon and arya.

i dont think saphira and thorn will mate because they where fighting in the the second book

The only impossible one is Shruikan and Thorn, they are both male (unless they are gay). I think some are likely such as solembum and maud, I don't know about others.

At the end of eldest, murtagh says saphira is the only female dragon left, therefore Shruikan is male. And face it Eragon109, it describes maud as a girl.

Eragon has already fallen for Arya. Arya was in love with Faolin, so maybe she doesn't want to be part of another pairing. And its clearly stated that Shruikan is male, when Murtagh says that Saphira is the last female dragon in existance.

I like the idea of Nazuada and Murtagh, aren't they around the same age, early twenties?

It doesn't matter that she is 100 year older then his age. THey said that the dragonriders would live as long as the elves. therefor, Eragon and Arya will die around the same time. but that is also irrelevant because we will never find out when they die because in the end of the trilogy ( I am guessing what I am about to say from the chapter deathwatch) the elves and eragpn and Arya will go back to the elven land which means we will never know when they die.

Arya should die before Eragon though because she is older but not for awhile. You said they have long life and I'm agreeing with that but Arya is still older than him by alot so she'll die before him.

It says in Eldest (ill find the quote in a sec) that the elves used to have lifes as long as the humans did but they somehow made them selves immortal...(immortal meaning they cant die usless someone was to stab them or something)

wheneva he dies she'll probably just die b/c she doesnt want 2 go on anymore cant that happen like in where the red fern growns when little ann died cause old dan got killed ( that waz the saddest book eva! )

Those are so unlikely that they aren't going to happen. Oromis is on the edge of death and Elva is still very young. And Angela hates Galbatorix so that is a definite no.

how does anyone know for sure that arya (the fat loser ) is the next rider. sure shes strong but its probably nasuada, roran or katrina. arya being the next rider would make th book dull.

If anyone is a dull character, it's Roran. Arya's personality is deep and layered. We have only pierced the first few layers. the rest will unfold as the next book progresses and she gets her dragon.

Nasuada has enough on her plate. She would have to be replaced if she became the next rider. I don't think that CP went through all of the trouble to write her assention to replace her.

As for Katrina, she is simply a damsel in destress right now,

Nothing good about Katrina I agree. But for Roran I say he is the next rider, he would make a great rider. He is sincere and knows enough when to do something, Like 1) He lead the town of Carvhall to Surda!

that only means that he is a good leader. he wouldn't be nearly as powerful as Eragon. Arya would rival Eragon, if not surpass him. but that doesn't matter, cuz Saphira would surpass Greenie.

Nasuada is to be busy worring about the Varden to become a rider. She isn't very elliglible I think. More Roran or Arya would be rider.

i agree. but roran might be the leader of the empire after galby dies. so he cant be it unless the dwarves varden or elves control the empire.

also hes a human, and even though eragon was 2 at 1st, roran wouldnt b able 2 learn enough n the little time provided, even enough 2 b a mediocre rider

I think he could do it given the proper training. He has the motivation to save Katrina at least.

ok well u gotta remember that elves liuve to lets say 1000 and lets say humans liek to...oh sumthing like 100 ok so now eragon is about 17 so mathmattically times that by ten,making it 170(becuz 1000 divided by 100 is 10)and i frogot how old arya is but i think he would be older

I tried it before

age gap : average max life

human marriage age gap : human_age = 4/65

eragon_arya age gap : elves_age = 80/2000

saphira_glaedr age gap : dragons_age = ...../..... (fill the blank please)

if the result is smaller than 4/65 then it's OK.

I agree, the age gap is diffreating for each set of characters.
