CHAPTER 1

Squeak! That was not something Naudia was excepting to wake up to at midnight. Naudia glanced around to see could have made the squeak. She saw nothing, as she was already aroused she decided to gaze at the stars, after awhile, she was growing restless so she went back to her bed, lying there waiting for sleep to consume her, she heard the squeak again this time it was louder, she glanced around her room, she had nothing in there except her dressers, so she thought the sound could not have come from her room.

Naudia was seventeen, dark brown almost black hair clouded her blue eyes, she slowly crept from her room, as she was down the hall the squeak was louder. Naudia continued only pausing when the floor boards creaked. She paused just about to down the stairs, leading to the kitchen. SQUEAK! Naudia now knew the thing that woke her up was down the stairs.

Slowly descending the stairs to the kitchen a light was on knowing that there was probably someone in there, Naudia waiting patiently listened, waiting to hear voices but when she didn’t, she continued her descent

SQUEAK! Naudia heard as she neared the bottom. Knowing the thing that has made the noise was near by; she slowly searched the kitchen finding nothing. Almost ready to give up when she heard another mysterious squeak. Near the door, she thought this thing might be outside.

So as Naudia stepped outside of her farmhouse, SQUEAK! SQUEAK! The squeaking was now louder as Naudia continued searching for the thing that made the squeaking. Searching around the garden she found the remains of the pretty red, oval stone, she found while exploring her new home. Beside the remains lay a dragon!

Her dragon was a pearly dark red colour with light purple spikes down his neck and down his spine all the way to the tip of his tail. I need to name you thought Naudia, what shall I call you, how about… Galadar, I like that. “you can stay here for now” Naudia said, petting Galadar, as my family are gone, but for now we need sleep.

Dawn was approaching fast, as for Naudia’s chores, Naudia was fast asleep. It was near midday when she finally woke up. Oh crud now I have to get a move on my chores thought Naudia.

Galadar is that you?
Yes.
If I let you go, could you hunt for yourself?, there are plenty of mice and stuff like that around.
Yes I guess so.

Naudia grabbed Galadar and went outside. Naudia started her chores, midway through them Galadar came into the barn, belly bulging. Did you get enough food?

Yes.
