how do you think eragon will kill galbotorix?

i think he will fly really high while galbotorix follows him, and use magic to keep the oxygen with him and galbotorix wont know that there is less oxygen as you get higher and he will pass out, leaving him and his dragon will be defenceless

I'm not sure how Galbatorix will die. Not to put down your theory, but I think Galbatorix would know that there was less oxygen the higher up he flew...

Eragon is going to kill Galbatroix either by himself or with the elfs help. Remember, the elf queen said to Eragon I've sent you the strongest spell casters there, if you are still alive when they get there they will place themselves under you command. Or somethinglike that.

He definitely deserve a striking and impressive death.. After all he lives almost like Forever and he should be immortal!! I refuse if he die just that with a sword or poison, he's to "Grand" for that. What if all back to nature, some how he lost his source of power in battle and grow old... i mean old it would turned him to skeleton in an instant... It will be a marvelous death!!

Oh, or something like that. Or his body just vanished like ash or suddendly he's frozen as stone or he's burned to death or eaten by the earth or anything.. I don't want CP to copy the Indiana Jones, anyway..

He's not like a vampire or sumthin tho, for his immortality to be lost the great blood pact thing would have to be shattered so completly dragon riders ceased to exist, and its not gona be because his dragon died cause his real dragon died ages ago, and just look at Brom, despite the fact that he is now dead. I think he'll be so concentrated on Eragon;s magic that he will just get a sword through the ribs. Remember the twins and Roran.

Many story that one fell of an edge he won't be die. After all its all about magic... But one i know for sure that galbs won't show a remorse and turned into good guy *lol*
About painful death; well -- slow death takes time, and the time beeing can be used to free himself or allow a back up from other foes. Eragon may not want to risk that.

HI! I'm new, but NOT to the Inheritance books!
I want to say, I hope Galbatorix is killed by all the elves and dwarves--plus Eragon and Saphira of course!
And who else here thinks Murtagh and Thorn should be freed (or however you spell that) from Galbatorix, because I think it would be SO nice to have Murtagh back with the good guys again!
(plus I want Saphira to have an egg!) And also because I LOVE thorn! (he's cute!!!)

Oh yeah, and I think Galbatorix has to suffer a long, CRUEL death, so he knows JUST how the people, dwarves, elves and dragons felt dying!
Or he could just kill himself from using too much magic.
OOOOOOHHHH!!!!! A really good thought struck me! What if all the dwarves, elves, people and remaining dragons put their strength together then killed Galbatorix in one mighty spell! After all, they don't all have to be jammed into the palace to do so. (do it through mind link!) heh-heh-heh!

I think Galbatorix is too smart to fall for something like that. I agree that he has to die a dramatic death. Maybe a sword fight... but it has to somehow involve magic and fighting. I want Murtagh to come back too, but I have a strange inclinging that he's going to die in the next book... dieing for the good guys of course. I think Saphira will mate with the green dragon.

Eragon will kill Galbatorix by sneakin up behind him and hitting him on the head with a big stick....then he will see how good galbatorix had it and enslave Alagaesia for himself... thus his soul leaves forever because he becomes evil itself.

Mabye Eragon Beats him so badly that the just sticks his sword into his own heart rather than have Eragon kill him or....... Eragon pushes Galb off of a cliff and Galb spears him self on a rock.. I got this idea from Mortal Kombat

First Eragon will learn to block people out with his mind better. Then he will go to Galb. and say that he will be on his side. And at first Galb. won't believe him so he will make him do like really wicked things, then he will secretley kill him when Galb. isn't watching him. Then he will fight Murtagh for Alagaesia and idk who will win! it is all up to Christopher Paolini!

i think eragon will paralize him then cut out 1 cm squared blockes out of him until there is nothing left, wouldent that hurt, o wait he's paralized ok a special paraliisis that makes him not move but he can still feel pain

I bet it will be like a huge long Dragon-magic-sword fight where everyone is hurt at the end then Eragon releases some kick ass spell with his new sword (Like when Murtagh killed Hrothgar )

Eragon is currently unable to fight the villians because their magic is much stronger then his. The odds will be evened when Eragon says his name to the Vault of Souls. Roran will fight Murtagh until Murtagh gives in. Eragon will be fighting Galbatorix and slowly being beat. Then Saphira and Thorn start to help him but it will still no be enough. So Eragon will use his magical name to defeat the king but is cursed to leave his world.

Lol how you know that will happen? and one reson he has a hard time fighting people is not cuz hes weaker its just every villan theres been a battle and eragons been fighting the whole time so hes like ready to fall over exhausted and then the villan appears. I just hole CP writes it as eragons ready to fight at the beggining or at least not dead tired otherwize all he be able to do really is just dodge attacks.

I agree with Dawn, but i do not think roran will fight Murtagh, unless he becomes rider. We know he will defeat the raz'ak. Maybe arya will be the next rider and SHE will fight murtagh and prob kill him. I got this from the dream, cuz the 2 people on the ship are eragon and arya, so that makes sense. But of course, roran might also be the next rider.

The book can turn out almost the same in two ways or compleately different just by one thing that happens, its not easy to guess what may happen.

I have a theory: the 3 new dragon riders will attack at once. (I haven't worked out my theory of freeing Murtagh yet). Anyway, one would attack physically, another through the mind, and the 3rd with Magic. I also think Murtagh will fight physically, Eragon with the mind, and the 3rd with Magic.

Ok, first post so try no to bee TOO harsh...

From past experiences with books of this nature the authors try to not give the main charachter all of his/her potential power so that they are still the "underdog" fighting the big evil power. That said I like the idea of all three dragonriders fighting galby with the sword/magic/mind thing and I think it will take all of that to distract him long enough for Eragon to strike the finishing blow.

I think that Murtagh can break his oath to galby but it will cost him his life (the magic of the ancient language). Doing so will allow Eragon to finish galby but then the magic of the oath will also take Murtagh at the same time casting a shadow over the otherwise happy event...

Be not harsh, for that is a task for me. I still say darth vader does it damnit!

..but i do think it will take combined efforts with magic, his mind, and physical.

It could be a large group of great soldiers.

And he will be busy stopping the scrying spell

he would be powerful enough to kill them with a flick of the wrist... but if he is destracted, murtagh will handel the soldiers.

This could by happening during the great battle so Murtaugh will be busy fighting.

Well the urguls could attack to,

murtagh never even showed himself until the end of the battle on the plains. he was fully rested when he fought eragon. but eragon had been fighting ALL day. so i don't think he will be busy fighting.

the varden are determined and strong while Galby s army is manly conscripted men who will likely flee.
Murtaugh will then be most useful fighting

it was the same situation last time. and murtagh still didn't show himself until near the end. when eragon was VERY weak.
.. i still don't think he will fight from the start. he will wait..
but this is only my opinion.
