ok am i the only one who thinks it would be WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more convenient to have an IM at the bottom of the screen for SF instead of PM or having to go to outside sources? look at the way max-dan-wiz does it? i dont like that its like a chat room, but its better than slow as heck PMs. I wish we could have an IM system like facebook. i want to see how many of you agree and see if we can get the admins to see our way

let see how many people will put IM FOR SF in their sigs to testify the great changes it will bring. let everyone post here of their opinions and the ease OF IM!

IM'ing or a chat room on the boards is generally considered in our website's community to be a bad idea. Unfortunately it tends to draw people's casual conversation, and then no one posts on the board proper. It's almost certain not to happen here. However, there are things in the work for SF that will have a far greater impact than a chat room would; I assure you, we are all for SF. =)

wel honestly i didn't think about that. I was just thinking about using it for general conversation that you use PMs for. Plus it would be easier to get ahold of Admins

Oh Lord, so THAT's what's with all of the "IM for SF" sigs XP I always thought they were saying "I'm for SF" XP Man I'm as blind as a mole XP

We have a topic for that you know... it's called CoMe HeRe WhEn YoU ArE BoReD!!!, and currently has 3629 pages of pure spam, with a few moments of brightness in it, and it all started with Pie, slime in a bucket, and oranges.

I had once read the entire topic up until my first post... it's very enlightening. You learn a lot about the oldest and original members by doing that... Honestly they were a bunch of nuts lol

*Raises hand* And PMs' aren't slow unless the person on the receiving end doesn't reply right away, like if they choose to wait a little while or something. PMs' aren't really that slow, in fact, they're pretty much just as quick as an IM. In fact, if there was an IM, think about it, in a PM you can choose how many people can see it; in IM there's no privacy....*Cowers* please doesn't killed me...O_O

An IRC channel would be cool. I'd be fine with managing it if nobody else is experienced with IRC.
