also the possiblity of the secret entrance, or do you think galby found it and sealed it shut?

I think that the Egg is being garded by the Razzac and they capture it toward the begining of book 3 giving time for the new Rider to be trained.

not a bad idea... could be another reason why galby hid the fortress so well!

Yes it could and the Razzac are powerful and located right next to a city incase renforments are needed.

I think the egg is in Helgrind with the Ra'zac so Roran and Eragon go after them because they have Katrina and they find the egg there and they take it and it hatches for Roran.

Not for roran Arya but that is a whole diffrent post. I think Eragon will learn in Helgrind to use magic while been druged then find the egg and kill the Razzac.

Eragon will find it but Roran will get it.

I think Roran will find it in the hands of Katrina. (I know its a long shot but hey its what C.P. would think of.) They will take it from the mountain and it will hatch for one of the Varden.

yea i agree wiv the Helgrind theory...... it would give Eragon and Roran the chance to gert the egg rite at the beginnning so that a new rider can b found n trained through out the rest of the book.....it mite b on a plinth in the Raz'zac's lair...........

I think that some1 from the varden, or eragon, will break into galby's castle, steal the egg and wait for it to hatch

Everyone is saying either eragon, roran, or katrina will find the egg, what if Saphira found it? She might sense it and lead them to it. or she will go to it herself, she could pick it up and take it to one of them, think about it, the egg, or rather the hacthling will feel safer in the hands of a dragon, and who knows, maybe saphira could communicate with it...

I don't think that the egg will hatch for eragon, roran, or katrina->in facts it can't hatch for Eragon since he already has one dragon. And it definetly can't hatch for Saphira...it would be weird
