Kerri looked up at Verminard, here eyes flashing.
"I know I can trust you, so I will tell you. The fire daemon Pyralis decided that when I was born I had powers that were too dangerous for him to overlook so a small time after I turned eight years old he fire-cursed me. So now even something as small as a candle's flame can hurt me while something as big as a sandstorm might not.
Do you see? When you transported us here there was a flash of fire and it burned me."
She showed him the scar more clearly, tracing it with her finger.
"But because of the curse, it turned black. The same thing happens for any other fire-related injury I receive. This small one is nothing."
She turned away from him and spoke, almost to herself. "The scars on my back, for example are worse. Much, much worse."

Raign thought back "I haven't had any family in thousands of years, my brothers great great grandchildren died so long ago. Of course, I was banished from my family long before that. I guess I deserved it though." Raign thought back to his family, and tears began to form in his eyes.

Ghansor approached silently to a group of travelers and was following their converstation. "Hmm, sounds interesting, what do you think Sinak?" Zayl asked his dragon who wasn't very far off. "Not bad but maybe we should watch them a bit more" said Sinak. "Agreed" said Ghansor and he continued watching.

Kerri gasped as the fire engulfed her and instinctively threw out her hand to stop herself falling, landing almost on top of Verminard. She regained her balance but the protego of fire had disssapeared, much to her relief.
"Verminard, I don't know if that was good idea." Holding out her arms she showed him that they were black almost all over. She tried to smile like it was funny but she only mananged a pained grimace.
"Ahkiré." she muttered, while blue fire licked at the scars, reducing them to whitish marks and cooling them down.
"Pyralis is much more powerful than you, although you do have great power. I know you meant well but maybe it would be good to let the curse stay until it is completely lifted."

Zayl watched as some of the travelers started moving off. Zayl pursued. He was a great tracker and without his dragon he wasn't as stealthy but his dragon is what gave him his stealth. "Let's see who's side their on first, then we'll act" said Ghansor.

Raign looked at the two of them "I apologize but, my appearence can not be changed. It's one of the effect of immortality, you cannot change physically unless ,of course, it is by a wound from battle." Raign looked around and sent a mental message to Verminard. "I can feel something too, I will follow you and the dreamer, just lead the way."

OOC: I know a protego is a shield, but Kerri can't have anything to do with fire because it burns her, even if it is a shield.

IC: Kerri nodded in agreement. Her hair turned an auntumn auburn colour, went wavy and cascaded down her back like a waterfall. Her eyes were silver and a slim dagger hung at her left hip. She wore a forest green dress-like robe and a silver chain hung about her neck, a small silver and gold hourglass hanging from it.
"I'm one of the twelve main spellcasters of this realm. Here the people know me as Alethia. I've taken this disguise before last time I was here."

OOC: It's good.

IC; Ghansor heard comotion out on the other side of the brush, he walked around sword ready and saw a group of travlers being taken by weird creatures. "What do you think Sinak, should we help?" asked Ghansor. A dragon was overhead, "I think we should have a little fun, if that's what you're asking" said Sinak. "Agreed" and Ghansor came up swung his blade up catching one of the creatures in his back, the creature falling clutching for the wound. He saw two other males fighting and decided to let Sinak have his turn. Sinak came and took out many of the creatures with his gangreen fire, grabbing some with his talons, sqeezing the life out of them, along with other remains. Many of the creatures fled of fear of dieing. And Ghansor waited for a respone.

Kerri whipped out her silver dirk and flicked it up lightly so it was pointed at the stranger's throat, her silvery eyes hard and her expression grim.
"Ghansor, is it? Yes, I know your name, and- " her eyes widened. "Ghansor and Rinak, a dragon, eh? What business do you have here? You've been following us for a while now...what exactly are you trying to do?"

"The dragon's name is Sinak, my lady" said Ghansor. "I just helped you, do you wish to kill me for helping?" Ghansor asked.

Raign frowned, grabbed Verminard's arrow and snapped it in half. "There is no need to treat someone who helped us so harshly. No wonder everyone in our plain is so afraid to help each other." Raign stood up to the man and shook his hand, "I hope his treatment of you has not brought ill fated thoughts upon us." said Raign as he sheilthed his blade.

"Not you, my lord, and you my lady Kerri are kind, but know this Verminard, do not test me or I may have to defend myself and my dragon is very protective" said Ghansor and gave him a cold look.

Kerri's eyes flashed dangerously. "Be careful, Ghansor. If you do try settling some score with Verminard you may find that he too is protected by his friends. Still, I am sorry for leaping out at you. I am a bit tense at the moment." Glancing over at Verminard and Raign, she spoke to them in their minds. Do not mention to Ghansor what we are here for.
She turned back to Ghansor. "Even if you did hear that we will not tell you."

"I do not wish you harm, it's just that I don't like to be threatened" said Ghansor. "I'm sure nobody does" Ghansor thought. "So what is your quest now?" asked Ghansor

Kerri frowned slightly as a lancing fiery pain shot through her skull but it was gone as soon as it had come. She turned to stare at Ghansor, to try and see his mind but she felt resistanct and didn't want to push her powers to a limit in her present stae of mind.
"If we aren't going to sort this out we'd best be on our way. Verminard? Raign? Come on."
