It has been announced that the cover of book 4 will be an emerald(green) dragon.
But what do you think would be a cool cover for it, what do you think would suit it?

Personally I think it would be more fitting if Shruikan were to be on the cover, because he has had more of a presence in the previous books and also because the cover would be black as well. Black would be better because it would reflect the storyline which will probably be a lot darker, and green would be too bright.

i think unless the green dragon is born/hatches quite early on in the book i think shruikan should go on the cover.....also i think there may be another topic for this

I have actually wondered if that picture was supposed to be the cover, and it leaked out. We may never know now, because Paolini will probably not use it now that he said that it wasn't going to be.

Well there has been no official statements from Random House. The only statement that they have gived:

well i don't think that shruikan will be on the cover because we've already had a black book (brisingr), but i don't think the egg will hatch until the epilogue of the book, so i'm not sure what the book will look like, bit i'm assuming that the dragon on the cover will be looking away from the reader, because saphira was looking to the left, thorn was looking towards the reader, glaedr was looking to the right, so it's natural to assume the last dragon will be looking away from the reader

well in one of the books that got released in like Japan or someplace like that Brisingr had a lebrethka(Sp?) on it so that would be kinda cool, to bad all the rac'ac are dead.

well maybe more ra'zac will come from another land and they'll put a lethrblaka on our covers

This is the second time that they use glaerd on the book cover for the japanese series. They also used him for eldest, this is where our current cover for brisingr come from.

i like how glaedr is kind of leaned back, like a snake in the middle of a strike

I really wish that that one picture posted earlier was going to be the cover. It looks sooooo awesome and the dragon is amazing. It definitely would have topped the other three covers. As for the name "Eldunari", that's lame. I like the name "Empire" the best. But "Ending", "Eridor", or even "Eldunari" would be ok. But just ok.

I also hope that the illustrator will make a picutre of Shruikan one day. That'd be cool.

The eldunari cover earlier is faked just to let everyone know. I'll post my analyses if it becomes required.

Yes, I know it's fake, but I was saying that I wish it could be the actual one. It looks so great! The dragon just has that perfect, rough, exotic look about it. I wonder who did draw it, cause whoever it was is amazing!

The third one would be from Germany, or a German speaking country. Den is a form of der (the - masculine) and Aldste is oldest, or eldest.

Those are two that I found. The first one I know has already been posted in here, but I figured i would do it again. The second one is the dragon on Brisingr, Glaedr, only green. HOW DUMB!!! There is another, but I'm trying to get the URL for it. I think it's Shruikan and the name is Empire. It's black.

Yep, that's it. I don't like the way the dragon is. All the others have scales. But Shruikan could be different. I don't really like it either.

It should be Greenie but it probably won't be. It would be cool if CP could put Saphira, Thorn, AND, Shruikan on the front because they all battle. Kinda like twisted into each other.Maybe they could make it a purple book, for royalty and all. Royalty falling.

You wouldn't see her body, but you could see the blue(I guess) jewl, because it says theyt they look like rare stones.

Purple for Royalty falling, of course!

that would be more of a gray, signaling end of the day. purple indicates nobility, but not the fall of nobility

maybe it'll be white because Eragon finds Bid'daum's hoh in the vos.

or maybe white to signify purity, as in cleansing of all things evil (including murtagh, thorn)

Hasn't anone read my original post? The cover is going to be green. And the cover of Brisingr wasn't black, it was navy. Altogether I would say that green wouldn't be a good colour for the cover, too bright.
