Farthen Dur is a volcano. It just hasn't errupted in hundreds of years. It's like a dead volcano. There's a certain word to describe it, but I can't think of it.

my favorite part of the book is when murtagh and eragon spar for the first time. i like this part because they realize that they are both evenly matched which i think makes them the perfect partners!

Yes, that was a really good part, especially the way I pictured it in my mind. That would be my favorite part in Eragon.

My favorite part in Eldest would be Eragon versus Murtagh. I always go for the battles. LOL.

In Eldest, mine is where Eragon is transformed. It's awesome that he's healed again and has the abilities of the elves.

My favorite would be the Elf festival, for eldest. I liked it because it was magical and interesting

Well, I'd have to say that a lot of the training was boring to me. It just didn't have me on the edge, but I guess a good book shouldn't ALWAYS have you on the edge. There should be calm subtle moments.

actually, a good book should keep you on edge, even during the calm moments. but i just like it becauseyou learn more about magic and stuff like that during that part and you read more about Eragon's pain.

I did like the part when Undin was showing Eragon around the dwarven temple. I thought it was really interesting to learn about how they believed and all.

Yeah. And the dwarven feast was kind of interesting, too. But I guess that the battles are important, too. To each his own.

Yeah, the entire time when they were passing through the Beor Mountains to go to Ellesmera was really interesting. I liked hearing about the five native creatures to the mountains.

Yeah. But the elves really take the cake. They're just so interesting in their unique culture. It would be cool to meet one.

The entire book is awesome but my favorite part is when Brom gives Eragon Zar'roc.

You know, this is really getting off the subject, but what if there was a very famous author who was writing a very famous series, but they die before they finish it! What would happen?

actually, that has happened. a very famous author named Charles Dickens was writing a book called "The Mystery of Edwin Drood", but he died before he finished it. And he never told anyone what was going to happen. That's why when im writing a book, i always keep notes on whats going to happen, that and my best friend knows what im going to do.



but other than dying, i also dont have a lot of patience. im surprised ive been able to wait this long.

Well, I'm writing a 4-book series. The first book is finished, but it still lacks that certain wording and depth that I imagined for it so I might have to rework on it again. Anyways, I'm currently writing the second book of the series, which is turning out even better than the first. Well, anyways, my point is: I have plenty of notes, but no one knows what will happen in it but me. I've given my parents a few hints, but I'm worried that if I were to die before I finish it, that no one would never know the ending. I don't know if my parents would have enough sense to take the notes and finish it.

lol. yeah. your second normally does turn out better than the first.



but i think we're getting a bit off topic (more like more than a bit), so my favorite part was....when Eragon and Roran finally meet up again and each understand what the other is doing in life. that was kind of cool, because roran was so mad at eragon, but didnt realize that eragon was a rider. it was cool when he figured out.

In Eldest, I liked a lot of Roran's story better than I did Eragon's training. I could just picture the Ra'zac attacking Carvahall and Roran had to do a lot of maturing in it. He really had a lot more on his shoulder than Eragon did.

yeah. the only reason i kept reading eragons part was because of arya and the elves and learning more about magic. that's it. i definitely liked rorans story better. especially after katrina was captured.

Yeah, and I thought that the Running the Boar's Eye scene with the big malestrom was pretty cool. That was a really exciting scene.

yeah. the way roran kills the twins is cool, too.

Yes, I was glad when that happened. I thought that a lot of the Varden scenes were kinda boring, but important to the story.

yeah, especially with Nasuada and the chicken guy.

Yeah, that part was a bit unnecessary to the story, but it was nice to see Nasuada becoming a leader.

i think it was a bit interesting how they came up with the idea for making lace to support the Varden. but it was kinda funny how Orrin's concoction made her sleeve start smoking.

Yeah, I thought the silk parts were interesting.

I must have forgotten the fact that her sleeve started smoking. LOL!

the final battle was really interesting, too. not just because of murtagh, but because of eragon meeting with roran, hrothgar dying, and everything else that was mixed up in the battle, including the urgals.

Yeah, overall the battles are usually my favorite part.

yeah...it was good.....but eragon was stupid hesitating the final blow....but i guess it was necessary for him to have the scar for the next book....

Yeah, that's perhaps one of the scenes out of the cycle that I can imagine perfectly in my head.

yeah. but seriously, that gets old after a while.....the hero always hesitates on the final blow. CAN SOMEONE DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT?????

yeah, but i think cp should of had enough imagination to think of a different way for eragon to get the scar than hesitating on the final blow.....thats just so typical.....



but i guess at least it was a different type of hesitation, because eragon only hesitated because of the presence of the shade and his life in eragon's memory......

Yes, this is very true. I think that Durza's power was very intense on him and he had trouble focusing.

i know, really.....i could go throught and list a whole lot of things that coulda/shoulda happened......but whatever, the past is the past, its already written, all we can do is hope for the best for the future.......

my favorite part of the story is when eragon gets zarroc. And also when he learns that he can use magic.

I have alot of favorites because the whole story is good, anyway. But I like the part where his back is healed and his training with Oromis and Glaedr.
